Thanks guys, you have been very helpful: I'll look for the green capacitor then!

Hi, It seems my 2600 (a 4 switch woody) is starting to show signs of its age: after a few minutes of gameplay (with any cartridge) the image becomes very "snowy" and altered with vertical lines proceeding in a tight zig-zag sort of pattern. If I switch off and then back on, the visuals are back to normal, just to get messed up a few minutes later once again. Anyone had a similar issue before? I guess it may be a problem with the RF modulator. Any way to easily fix this? Or it can be due to some other reason? Any insight is greatly appreciated. Cheers! Roberto

excellent find! It looks like the H6 is in very good condition too. I wish I'd get something like that for $25 only!

If the seller agrees to ship to Singapore, u can bet I'll bid on this one!
-
I sent the seller an email asking about Worm Whomper: it's box only with one overlay. Indeed I am just looking for the box but I don't need all the other stuff so I won't be bidding here.

I'm still in the early stages of my collection so I'm focusing more on the great classic titles, albeit common, than on the obscure, rare ones. Anyway I recently bought off ebay a Marauder CIB, which will definitely be my precious one (but didn't get it yet...)

WHAT IS YOUR MOST RARE INTELLIVISION GAME
roberto replied to atari5200dude82's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Dig Dug CIB and Congo Bongo (cart plus reproduction box). No muddy spikers yet -
"vtg INTELLIVISION tshirt LOCK N CHASE 80s nintendo" What does Nintendo have to do with it??

" I'm sure the good games are in terrible shape and the bad games are in good shape. " this was cute There's also a controller keypad in there! that's surely a very messy lot but there's something good in there (also a Centipede cart, besides that Worm Whomper box)

End Imagic and Epyx first, then... why not Apollo for the early days and Absolute for the late ones?
-
Thanks a lot for the kind offer! Much appreciated! I guess, though, that the original Aquarius price plus the shipping cost of having it sent to a US location first plus the following shipping to Singapore will really be a bit too much for me right now... All best!

There are a few thrift shops but I never found anything worth of attention. Anyway, if I find a local Saturn rig, I'll let you know I'm still trying to locate the old manufacturing plant where many Inty carts were produced back in the day but Singapore by now is a completely different place from what it was in the early 80s and I doubt such place still exists (almost every industrial building around here is demolished and rebuilt every few years!)

How much would it cost to ship to singapore from the US? Could one of us buy it and send it to you? Or would it not be worth it after all the shipping? I believe Roberto comes to the US once in a while.... Yes, and I noticed somehow I always have a very light luggage on the way to the US and very heavy one on the way back... Indeed, I'm coming to the US this month and have been quite active on Ebay, Amazon, Atari2600.com and even Craigslist lately: if I buy anything else I guess my school's admin staff will hate me forever (they are keeping all that stuff in their office before my arrival ). Cheers! Roberto PS. I guess sending a package like that Aquarius to Singapore would cost around $40-$50.

I'd definitely be interested in buying it, but that's another guy who doesn't even want to ship to Canada, so I guess having it sent to Singapore is out of the question...

Here's what I've got. What else should I want? :)

No one suggested Fathom yet?? -
How silly: the Inty controller would have been perfect in there! Well, they lost a potential customer...

Brilliant! I need to do something like this too!

Ah! The good old Powerpoint slides of the 80s!!

Price check - 2600 with composite video OR heavy sixer
roberto replied to flammingcowz's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
All 4-switch modded systems I saw recently were well above $100 (usually close to $150, even without box), not sure about heavy sixers (I guess close to $100?). I'm curious about a modded heavy sixer now... -
WOW! Spiker Super Pro Volleyball sells for $1,826
roberto replied to Rev's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
That was quite an exciting finish, climbing all the way there from $960 in the last few seconds! I enjoyed the show! -
Well, to continue the series of "funny" auctions, check this one eBay Auction -- Item Number: 300560831162: a boxed Darth Vader featuring several games including "BEAZEAK" and two copies of... "Dig DOG"!

so? did u get it? which model is it? which games are you enjoying most so far? I guess we are all curious to know more...

I consider it an interesting and relatively fun game (though I played it only on emulators, not on the real thing). I didn't find the flickering too annoying while the music jingles are cute and funny and in stark contrast with a shoot'em up in the style of Xevious... I'm not really sure if this contrasting mood between the gameplay and the music was intended by the designer or it was unintentional, but I find it amusing nonetheless. I also like the bug (feature? ) that if you shoot a second projectile while the first is still flying on the screen, the earlier one disappears: if you are used to shoot at a fast pace, as in many other games, you definitely have to review your whole gaming style!

Anyone remember what I predict? didn't you say $2000? Yes, and maybe I was wrong. could go higher. I'll be camping on that page to watch the show

CIB Worm Whomper and River Raid! eBay Auction -- Item Number: 300560250890 and eBay Auction -- Item Number: 290568908489 I'm bidding on these two... let's see how it goes! There's also this very nice looking Pole Position still at a very cheap price: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 110690169069 (trying to turn your attention to something else here so you will forget about the two Atvi titles... )
