Welcome to the Inty!

My personal recommendations would be for some Imagic titles like Swords and Serpents, Dracula and Safecracker (to me, GTA 0.1
) Cheers!

Nice find! All Inty games are loose though... the only boxed games I saw were for the rarer systems like Bally Astrocade, Microvision and RCA Studio II!!

The Congo Bongo looks good!

Just got this in the mail. River Raid boxed and *almost* sealed. Only has a small cut across top to remove the game. Everything is in mint condition. It looks brand new.
Beautiful! Congratulations!! I need a box like that too...

Good selection! I added you to my favorite sellers

NEW video for the Commodore C64 implementation on the Multiple Classic Computer MCC-216 from ArcadeRetroGaming.
Enjoy the differences in technology and performance between the original Commodore C64 from the 80 and the revival from 2011.
Happy Retro Gaming and Classic Computing.

Fantastic stuff, though the old C64 still maintains all its appeal to me, despite the clumsiness of the 1541 drive

Already being done. Lenny and Curt and I have interviewed Ted very extensively. Lenny for his next update to Phoenix, and Curt and I for our '69-'84 Atari Inc. book ('69 because that's when the story really starts).
can't wait to read both of them! Any idea when they'd be out?

Mr. Dabney, how about writing a book about the early years at Atari?
That would be a great read and Mr. Dabney is surely the best person for such a job!
Personally, I'd really love to read something as detailed as Bagnall's "Commodore: a company on the edge" but for Atari and the very early industry days...
In the meantime, the book I wrote (The Golden Age of Video Games) should be released in a matter of days. I'm very happy and proud to say that Mr. Dabney was so kind to help me in this project by writing the foreword and by providing some unique and insightful comments and anecdotes on the early Atari days which I would have definitely missed otherwise.
Cheers!

... and so my week of work (well, sort of: I attended the game developers conference
) in San Francisco is over. Tomorrow morning I'm flying back to warm Singapore BUT, while I had no luck in the couple of thrift stores I checked out, I had time to win a couple of CIB cartridges from ebay and have them shipped to my hotel. I got two of my old Imagic favorites: Safecracker and Swords & Serpents! Now also the Imagic section of my collection is starting to shape up and you can easily imagine what I will play as soon as I recover from the jetlag!

Cheers!

PS. At GDC I found out that a few brave guys are setting up a gaming museum in SF. They were there looking to raise the last few thousand dollars to make the project happen (The MADE) and, showcased in a prominent place within their small booth, they had an Inty running AD&D! Obviously my heart melted and I helped the cause by becaming a "Level 1 Donor"

Hi Daniel, the two games are not compatible with Colecovision. As it so happens, I'm bidding on one of your games.

Good! Most likely I'm going to bid on the other one...

-
Since I don't have this game, is that description somewhat accurate or way over the top?
well, it's obviously a bit "over the top" though it depicts some game mechanics pretty well
but the game is quite funny and challenging. I like it

Boxed International(Brown) Computer Module for $800 (in France). I'm just sayin'.....
So expensive! I really doubt anyone would buy it at that price... (I won't!)
-
My ET CIB cartridge was actually the first cart I bought once I decided to get into 2600 collecting...
Why? Well, this game certainly has its own unique "charm" and undoubtedly meant a lot for the industry!

-
I'd said David too mostly for Pitfall which, though I don't really consider it a platformer, I do see it as Super Mario's Father

CIB Fathom that I meant to bid on and forgot.
Good price for CIB - $103
I missed it!! How come it didn't show up in my searches?? Anyway I guess I'd have just helped in pushing the price up a little but not won it in the end anyway... -
A few days ago we had a housewarming party and I could finally show my game room (i.e. my "studio", officially speaking
) with my Inty and Atari consoles and games and the reactions ranged between indifference (for those who had no idea of what this stuff is about) to surprise and excitement: a few jaws dropped and we started playing some classics. We really had a great time and I think I may have passed the "collecting bug" to some colleagues too

Rev, I was looking through my stuff the last few weeks putting some packages together for mailing and I discovered I have both the silver and blue versions of Swords and Serpents as well but I don't think it's very common.
The blue version is a later reprint right? Is it considered rarer than the silver? I just bought S&S (silver) off ebay, btw...

I see... Thanks.
Anyway I'm still in need of quite a few commons too

Hi,
I will be visiting San Francisco in 4 weeks and I was wondering if anyone knows of classic games shops or good thrift stores in town where I'd be more likely to find Inty games... Any ideas?
Actually, besides some games, I'm also looking for River Raid and Worm Whomper boxes (just the box), which I'd buy or trade with a few other games from my collection. If there's someone around the Bay who would like to meet up and maybe swap some Inty related items (my collection is still quite limited but feel free to PM me to see what's available), let me know!
Cheers!

Anyone planning on bidding on this Fathom with OL's and instructions?

I was outbid
Anyone here won it?
-
They confirmed the Atari movie is coming out hopefully soon!!
I was really afraid the project was completely forgotten by now! -
let's pick some classics from completely different genres....
Pitfall!
Enduro
Space Invaders
Battlezone
Adventure
