maybe a little bit messy, but that's a great collection for sure! keep it up!
-
But the Inty package clearly wins for me: the added catalogue is way better than the "multiplayer skin"!

I woke up at 4am to bid $90+ on that... lol, the highest I ever bid on a game then.... I gave up and went back to sleep!

Another Intellivision Lives DS Glitch
roberto replied to IntellivisionDude's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Yeah, some glitches are annoying (especially the AD&D ones) but I still love the compilation as a whole. After all, almost any game, new or old, has glitches and crashes... The only thing I really dislike is being forced to find another DS to access the 2 player games: I still want to see them when on my own (and games like Utopia can be played alone!)! -
Motorodeo NIB!! (but Santa will probably deliver it next month since he's been quite busy lately...)
-
Welcome and best wishes from Singapore! PS: I just realized many Inty games were made/assembled over here. I still have to track down exactly where... who knows, maybe there's still some old warehouse with some forgotten boxes!?

Let's see... (in no particular order) NASL Soccer Thin Ice Beauty and the Beast Swords and serpents Safecracker Fathom Lock'n'chase Shark! Shark! Astrosmash Utopia cheers!

Hmmmm.... I'll definitely expand my collection of meaningful titles, whether rare or common, for the 2600 and Intellivision. For the 2600, I'm still looking at some of the very early titles but I'll also focus on the last official ones to cover the whole lifespan of the system. For the Inty, on the other hand, I'll try to get some Imagic titles like Dracula, Swords and Serpents, SafeCracker, Tropical Trouble and, if I'm lucky, Fathom. Project wise, hopefully I'll also have some time for exploring homebrew programming on at least one of these systems and, once my upcoming book on video game history is published, I'll start working on another undisclosed book project (but you can bet it will be completely focused on retro gaming ) Ok, so far so good. Now let's see how many of these good propositions I'll be able to put into practice in the next 12 months! Have a great 2011!

Finally, a boxed Spiker Super Pro Volleyball for sale
roberto replied to Rev's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Surprisingly (at least for me!) Spiker in its repro box sold for a much higher amount than Mud Buggies! The latter barely passed the 200 Euros mark while Spiker "spiked" up to 363! -
I'd be happy to find some among the following: Mission X, Frogger, Q-Bert, Mousetrap, Microsurgeon, Happy Trails, Burgertime and Bump'n'Jump Cheers!

Just before the holidays, I got a few minutes to post some very exciting news: my new book “The Golden Age of Video Games: the Birth of a Multi-Billion Dollar Industry” is going to be published, like my previous work “On the Way to Fun”, by AK Peters! But that’s not all: the book will feature a foreword by Mr. Ted Dabney, who also helped me with some very valuable feedback on the early Atari days, besides an exclusive interview with Mr. Mike Kennedy of GameGavel.com about collecting classic games today! Hopefully the “Golden Age” will be available by March… I’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, after the success at the “Sense of Wonder Night” in Tokyo earlier this year, I also submitted my small experimental game “Orfeo” to the “Experimental Gameplay Workshop” to be held at GDC. It’d be fantastic if I’d present it also there and get feedback from the GDC crowd… well, let’s see! Merry Christmas and best wishes for a Happy and Playful New 2011 to all!!

Yeah, I know it's a good DVD, that's why I want to buy it! Thanks for that phone number, though an email would probably be more helpful since I'm not in the States... Cheers!

Hi, I was just trying to order the "Once Upon Atari" DVD set from its website but the website crashed after I put in my credit card numbers... then I wanted to email asking for information but the contact page doesn't show up either. Anyone knows anything? Is this still for sale? (and what happened to my CC numbers?? ) Thanks in advance for any information! Roberto

Very interesting seller. This also looks like a great lot for anyone starting an Inty collection eBay Auction -- Item Number: 300507439618 I wonder if he'd ship a "bit" lower than the 48 lower states... BTW, that boxed Mud Buggies auction is starting to heat up and I guess I'll be forced to play only a spectator's role by now...

Finally, a boxed Spiker Super Pro Volleyball for sale
roberto replied to Rev's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Indeed. Fathom ranks high in my wishlist: it was my favorite Inty game when I was a kid. I remember my parents spent a lot of money for it (I guess it was my Xmas '83 present) as such Imagic games were always quite expensive... Anyway, I'm focusing on that mud buggies first (BTW, thanks! ) -
Finally, a boxed Spiker Super Pro Volleyball for sale
roberto replied to Rev's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
$60 shipped. I guessed it was a good deal since, as I read in another topic here, a loose cartridge in good condition should be worth around $100... Anyway, I'm not sure how much a reproduction box could actually add to the item's value, though it will definitely make its storage much nicer than simply putting the cartridge in a small plastic bag like an unlucky goldfish won at a carnival game... Any ideas? -
Finally, a boxed Spiker Super Pro Volleyball for sale
roberto replied to Rev's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
I was recently inquiring for the congo bongo box (I succeeded in getting one loose a few weeks ago which is currently the highlight of my Inty collection ) and they seem willing to sell individual boxes too. in any case, they didn't come back to me with an overall price including shipping yet. Cheers, Roberto -

Anyone have a dead Intellivision cart?
roberto replied to Razzie.P's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Indeed: my collection is still quite small and I have 3 of them already! -

I'm quite curious... what makes orphan overlays expensive? Were they made by some famous artist/designer? I mean, I can also design and print a nice pair of overlays myself and they will be the only ones in the world (pretty unique, right? ). Would they be that valuable too? -
Special warning here: it says the keyboard "works perfectly" but the adapter module "doesn't work". Which means, I guess, the whole thing doesn't actually work... BTW, great thread!

is there a screenshot on the back?
