  2. Hi!

My beige TI-99, US Model, NTSC, arrived today. *yeah*

PAL versus NTSC is not a problem as good European television are capable of both.

But in the US they use 110V while the standard in Europe is 220V.

What is needed to get the TI to work in a 220V environment?

    br, kl99

use the european power supply is a same of us just the voltage change 110 for us 220 for eur.

  3. I ordered a video cable for my TI99

but I received the wrong one

I didnt know the US video output was different than european one

I have a 6 pin (5 in round and one in the middle)

    and I received a 5 pin cable

    is it easy to modify?

    I've already answered this question.

the ti99 euro can be used with the US cable. Just work with the pal or secam ( with SCART ) interface.

    the vdp is different.

You have a schematic of this interface.

We bought our TI-99/4A systems (2) in Belgium and we had the PAL modulator (even though the TI-99/4A came in a box with french packaging).

Can you attach a picture how the TI-99/4A with scart connector looks like ?

I think the picture quality should be better as with the PAL anntenna thing ?

    just a picture on ebay

  6. i search a schematic to connect the rambo opa option to the hrd

This piece of info seems to have been "lost in time".

I will over the next few days re-build the info, since I still lucky have an Horizon Ramdisk with my RAMBO installed.

The later design of the Horzion (4000+ series) had the RAMBO mode built-in, no soldering of thin wires needed.

just a photographie for the RAMBO optional

excuse me have find the schematic for connect the rambo option

    thank

  7. The Diagnostic module Jean Louis talks about is a rare cart--- hard to find, really. If re-seating the flex card into a new card slot inside your PEB doesn't fix it, someone else will have to help ya. I am by NO means a hardware expert. :)

if you search a copy of the eprom The Diagnostic module, I have for you. but juste the file, have you a eprommer for burn the eprom or eeprom.

  8. Thanks for the help. I tryed to access to all extension (32ko , ramdisk, ) and nothing. I cleaned all contact in flex connector and they look good. The last time i used pebox ( 15 years ago), it was working perfectly, and was in safe place, i really don't understand what happened. opry99er, i'll try to re-seat everything inside and outside of flex card & cable.

I would not write a stupid thing but with my PEB I had the same problems. I solved by cleaning the drive with a diskette cleaning solution from 5.14 with a cleaning spray on the surface of the disc were oxidized sie heads ... the second drive, however, beyond the dirty heads had loosened the elastic engine and were not the optimum speed ... I replaced the rubber bands.

Maybe your PEB have different problem but it's mine experience... hoping it could be a solution for you ;-)

use a corcomp module "PERIPHERAL DIAGNOSTIC MODULE" for testing your pebox, this cardrigde test the rs232 32k and the floppy controller.
