    Okay, but I just have to ask... is there any validity to this recent post? Or is it chicanery, hullabaloo, fluff, hype, hyperbole, sensationalism... Or is it possible that there is a different distributor in the works? Strange post and strange YouTube clip if you ask me, but it peaked my interest.

     

     

    I would believe Bill before weird things on the web since he was helping them with instructions and testing.

    lord of dungeon will always be the first game to go bad and the other games still play fine when your power brick is just starting to go bad. I would say if you do low power game to test and it works good then it is probably power brick. If the lower power game still has problems then you probably need to fix the power switch.

    should we be able to dump the 32k games or did you try with the lord of the dungeon option i did nt try....

     

    i hate when i cant dump the game cause its a game that i wont play since its in his box in a safe place.. dont have a choice 2 young kids... they alreAdy destroy my super subroc once but thanks to Luc he sell me a replacement box

    Hi kids, thanks for your support again! Mama have good news now :D

    The whole PayPal thing is mostly sorted out, we talk to a PP representative and it happens that there wasn't a copyright issue after all [PP troll :razz:] actually they have some crazy rules about pre-orders that we weren't aware about.

    Like Ed said "your pre-order is still valid" so no worries, everything is gonna be fine.

    We are working on a resolution and soon i'll let you know more details but we are looking for a way to make things easier and smoother for the next games and the SGM.

     

     

    It makes sense actually. Paypal has limit of how long they let you wait until they allow you to get a refund. If it is a preorder most of the time there is no way a preorder is going to be fulfilled in their contract limits. Which means they could end up spending a lot of money on their dime enforcing their rules for a refund. If they can tell it is a preorder it is smart of them to not allow it. I would think they are only going to get more and more stingy and picky with rules now that they are out on their own and splitting from ebay.

    So 90 copies sold in 3 hours, eh? Wow! That must mean they were under-priced. =)

     

    (Or there's a huge demand for high-quality SGM games.)

     

    I think the main thing is you have way more than that in SGM numbers that sold and from past history on the forums it seemed like a lot of people made it known that the ONLY reason they bought it was to get DK. I don't understand that myself as all the games are awesome but since that history was there, I knew they would go very fast and that is why I ordered mine immediately when the email came to me.

     

    However I think people keep glossing over that it is just the special case edition, the same thing happened with pac-man collection before I came to this forum. Luckily now I have both versions but it was not easy to get the yellow cased cartridge. Probably what doesn't help is they have to wait for August which is a long time.

    Wonderful news on these 3 new releases.

    I wasn't totally clear though. Doing the preorders right now thru the email message from today....are those orders automatically for the special editions of the 3 games?

    I would think they have to because in the customer service topic Edwardo says that they are not taking orders for the regular games yet and that shipping for them will not be free. So they have to be all the special additions.

    I wonder if that is still current for all game testing. I find it better in development industry for the tester to not know how things should work.

     

    1) It tests how good your human computer interaction development is to know if your system makes natural instinctive sense on how to use the program.

    2) Usually a tester finds problems you never knew about because you kept doing things that you designed for instead of stupid things users would do if you don't teach them how to use it.

     

    Now I am not in gaming industry so I guess that could be how they do it in the gaming industry.

    Sometimes I get an angry/relief feeling at same time when losing a bid, angry because I'm not advancing to completion of my collection, relief because my bank account keep intact :grin:

    thats funny, I keep track in a spreadsheet just in case some day I am no longer, so that my family knows what I paid and doesn't give stuff away for free.

    Your right though it may take years again before you see another one come up but it is also possible you will pay less for it. It really does come down to how patient of a person you are. In today's world though there are not that many patient people. :)

    As far as everyone knows, No there is not a yellow box. Have all of them but that 1 yellow box and have never seen one. However none of us thought a Victory box without the roller controller existed until we saw one.

    I feel for you TPR because his bidding practices would drive me absolutely bonkers even though I wouldn't be throwing in my own max bid until the end. It is a very grey area between bad bidding practices and shill bidding because his bidding style does look like shill bidding, but it's hard to quantify whether he is doing so on purpose or duking it out one small bid at a time against other bidders until he himself reaches his max bid for the item.

     

    If he hadn't paid some serious cash for a number of items, I would say he's guilty of shill bidding, but he has indeed paid and paid dearly in some cases, so I tend to think he is innocent of any wrong doing. Now, if it was found out that some of these auctions that he is bidding up was for a friend's item and he was helping his friend get top dollar, that's another story altogether.

     

    One thing for sure, just be glad you weren't around a number of years ago when ColecoDan, ColecoNut, Jaymeister, ColecovisionZone and myself were having knock down, drag out auction brawls for this stuff! Talk about some guys with deep pockets and a lot of passion for all things ColecoVision. :-o

    yeah you guys maid me pay 874 bucks for CIB of Boulder Dash :)

    It's this guy 2***js.gif( 79) ... Hmm he was the last bidder though both on death race and hustler ... was in Opcode Juno auction as well ... and ya, Super Sketch as well...

    He's a real bidder just not smart. Doesn't know how to use ebay correctly to make sure you don't pay a fortune for things.

    What is actually quite interesting is that there have been 93 bids placed by only two participants from start to (near) finish over the course of eight days. I do not think I've ever seen that happen before. Just ... wow.

    It means you have 2 bidders with no idea how to bid on ebay. Both Noobz or just stupid.

    I don't get it. Pac Man collection has a free rom floating around. So you can play it if you want to without a cartridge.

    If you're a cardboard sniffer that needs to have teh rarez physical copy...

     

    Then wouldn't you want the yellow cart?

    I have both and I can tell you the yellow cart did not cost me anywhere near what they are paying for the not rare black version.
