  1. One of my all-time favorite movies! And the graphic novels are amazing, too!

Scott Pilgrim vs the world was an amazingly funny movie with many inside jokes. It was a work of art. Haven't seen pixels but I usually like movies everyone hates.

  2. your ram questions are because it was expensive back then and they wanted to save as much money as possible in order to make as much profit as possible.

They would even lower the chip size in the games and tell game makers they had to lose data so they could put smaller size chips in their games.

Remember it isn't some group of guys with love of games making the product. It is business people letting their people do as little as possible as fast as possible to make a game sell.

The screen I thought I read somewhere that there wasn't enough screen pixels to fit the extra level or would make stuff look weird but not sure about that.

  3. You didn't have to peel off the sticker to get the coleco open, I don't understand why so many people thought that when I as a 8 or 9 year old just undid the screws and took it apart without even thinking of removing the sticker. However you definitely were not alone. I think there is some thread somewhere where people made a new sticker. Or maybe they just talked about making one. I would do a search.

  4. I agree with NIAD, that seller did not have I will ship everywhere on his ebay sale so he probably did not have enough setup to ship to you. I don't know if you contacted him ahead of time to ask if he would ship to your area, if you did not then you created the problem because you should have asked him first if he would ship to you. He is being nice just shipping to you without agreeing if you didn't. However if you did then he should have warned you that it would cost more but it still is not unreasonable for him to ask after the fact since he setup the auction without outside shipping in mind.

  5. I've been collecting ColecoVision CIB by company. So far I have Atarisoft and Parker complete. I started chasing Imagic this year. I think I might call it quits on vintage when I'm done with them. It's been a fun ride, but the prices on Imagic stuff are batshit insane. Sometimes I feel it would be a better solution to just buy the Telegames version of T. Tennis and ask Phattyboombatty or Crapahute to come up with a standard silver Imagic box for it.

If that auction goes for less than a SuperSketch, I'll be surprised.

It will definitely go for less than Super Sketch, these have come up a decent amount over the years. They usually go between 300 - 600 depending on the bidding war.

The reason they come up more is because people can tear the sticker off the Box and bam it becomes a colecovision box. All Imagic did was add a sticker to make it for the other systems. It is a uncool to do it but people have been doing it a lot. I have one where someone did that because the instructions are wrong and one correct one with the good instructions. The only way you can tell if it is the real deal is that the instructions have something specific for colecovision but usually they never show the inside of the instruction booklet for you to see.

  6. @Ikrananka

Glad that I won your Penguin Land auction. Actually I forgot about it and was surprised I won it ;)

I think a lot of people got the re-release from colectorvision and don't realize this is the first release with like 25 - 30 copies. Collectors like me who would have bid on it might already have them. It is pretty cool.

  7.

I'm the owner and I can assure you that I don't play those games.

Of course Ikrananka is in my brotherhood so I know he is a cool guy but before we were even in the brotherhood together he was always a great seller with fair prices. I can confirm he is not that kind of guy.

  8. I ran it up! whoever I was bidding against if it was a a real bidder or not it got ridiculous so I am not ashamed to admit I bid it up...I hope the owner wasnt playing games and someone wanted it that bad. So I am out of thy bidding.. enjoy

I hope it is a language thing, ran it up around here means you are screwing with people to inflate prices without any desire to ever buy the item. It is totally not cool and everyone will be very pissed at you. Hopefully you mean you just wanted it and can't go higher.

  9.

They are re-purposed original ColecoVision controllers. At the simplest level they were refurbished and dyed among other things. Details can be found as follows:

I have ended the auctions for the two controller sets - private deal struck with an AA member.

wow after seeing death race go for crazy money you should have left those controllers out there. I don't understand the whole side deal thing. I am betting you may have seen a sky rocket price. I know if I didn't already have both sets I would have paid huge money.

  10. JC's given RelliK a run for his money with some of these prices ;)

eBay Auction -- Item Number: 2817681172841?ff3=2&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&item=281768117284&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]

That's a shame, when I got back into colecovision like 6 or 7 years ago, his site was the best out there. Very responsive and great stuff at a price that of course made him money but was a reasonable price maybe just below regular ebay prices not outrageous ebay prices.

It was great to look at that site always as he got more stuff and try to buy it before the other collectors saw the new stuff put out there. A great deal of my complete CIB collection came from his site. It is sad when nice things go away. Not really sure what he is doing since I could only see a clueless millionaire willing to pay that price.

  11.

I sold mine for $300 buy it now, maybe could have gotten more??? don't know. BUT, no box, instructions, or tracing samples

If yours was CIB you definitely screwed yourself by not making it a regular auction.

Since this is so hard to get most people will wait for a full CIB. Depending on crazyness of ebay auction I could see it selling for anywhere between 400 - 1000

With no box or instructions I guess it is just how desperate someone is to have it because I wouldn't consider it worth much but as we can see it is already up to 200. Personally if I didn't already have one I wouldn't waste money until I found a CIB.

  12. no you are not wrong, qubes was considered high priced selling for 300 or so each time then all of a sudden ebay got flooded over the years with lots of them. Now when I say lots of them I am talking 2 handfulls which is a lot for hard to find items. :)

Dragonfire doesn't pop up too much, considering the awesome shape it was in I can see why a couple people would want it bad and cause a crazy price. They obviously wanted it bad because oil wells selling at the same time sold for cheap. That is one that is usually around 300. To make you feel better I saw a clamshell Alphabet Zoo which does not pop up much. Since I had the box and not the clamshell I decided what the hell. It is probably worth 100 - 175. I got it for 6 bucks. :) It makes up for all of the crazy priced Items I had to buy to get to my CIB collection. When you get to where I am you start going , oh I don't have the Canadian version of this CIB. :)

  13. i get very irked when I see people buy up stuff and then resell them for astronomical numbers.

Like Victory for 60.00 is insane...IN SANE.

Ebay is starting to annoy me...the last 7 purchases I made...6 of the items were broken when they arrived. Granted I got my money back but that's not the point.

why are you saying TESTING AND WORKING when it CLEARLY wasn't. I ordered Colecvision Joysticks from a joker on Ebay...TESTING AND WORKING 100% but sold ASIS

I should have known something was up. I got them and both of them didn't work properly...One wouldn't go left the other wouldn't go up and its keypad didn't work.

Sometimes I just don't understand some people.

The world has become make money at any cost no matter who you hurt and what it costs. The small scale users are just learning from the big time corporation crooks who definitely rule the US if not the world.

    yes I am jaded. :)

  14. skiing and amazing bumpman basically are cart only. They didn't get sold with a box and if any of them have one it is that stupid green clam shell with a photocopy picture in it. There are some people that made a colecovision box for them so if you get someone that bought that then you might see a box with it. Don't pass it up because I started paying attention to this stuff around 2009 and besides the carts I was lucky enough to get, I have really only seen them pop up 1 or 2 other times.

Tank Wars and alcazar I have seen a lot on ebay, you should find one of those.

Boulder dash popped up a few years ago a handful of times but seems to have gone quiet again.
