  1. skiing and amazing bumpman basically are cart only. They didn't get sold with a box and if any of them have one it is that stupid green clam shell with a photocopy picture in it. There are some people that made a colecovision box for them so if you get someone that bought that then you might see a box with it. Don't pass it up because I started paying attention to this stuff around 2009 and besides the carts I was lucky enough to get, I have really only seen them pop up 1 or 2 other times. Tank Wars and alcazar I have seen a lot on ebay, you should find one of those. Boulder dash popped up a few years ago a handful of times but seems to have gone quiet again.
  2. yes the new game was just hacked to fix some things. Nothing was actually programmed to make it different
  3. Not sure how many homebrew games you have been able to get and play since you are new. If you have the whole catalog of games like some of us who have been here a long time then I think you would see we have been pretty spoiled. I am talking high quality fun games with very few to no bugs. Many of us have said time and again that the games are even better than the work of many of the originally released games. Now of course that is not necessarily fair to the original game producers who had unrealistic deadlines, memory constraints, and moron bosses forcing them to do something stupid. I think the key is that yes it would be normal to expect bugs and problems from a program built from fun and joy and not from a commercial entity with a fleet of testers and coders. The problem is that we have received such high quality productions that now we expect everything to always be perfect or why wasn't it fixed before release. Now we all know and love some of the hugest companies out there like Microsoft, Oracle, and Apple who have bugs galore in their releases. The problem is unfortunately we have come to expect that from those companies where as all our past results of homebrew games has caused a sense of astonishment when we see a bug in a game because that usually doesn't happen.
  4. TPR, I think since you are so new that might be why you are also not understanding the frustration. We have been here so long and have gotten so many awesome games from CollectorVision that I think we have gotten spoiled by the high end products that they have produced. Those high end products cause everyone's expectations of perfection to be very high. That very high expectation gets crushed when you see so many bugs or problems in one game. It may seem like picking on people but I think it is just frustration from playing and from expecting such perfection.
  5. only if you add a hitchhiker that you pass by over and over again.
  6. if you are still getting garbled graphics and have to try several times to get the picture right after you clean the carts and the colecovision connectors then you might need to clean and regrease the on/off switch because it might be starting to go.
  7. wow you really got down to the ones that are going to be very hard to find and cost you money. Probably the easiest one on your list is Artillery Duel/Chuck Norris Double Ender, gust buster might be easier to get just because of the boxes that were found you can probably get a CIB of it for 40 - 50 bucks or so.
  8. nope just means the guy that bought them was impatient and overpaid. The ones I have gotten on ebay have never been high priced.
  9. Actually unlike many people on here, I too never had a problem with the colecovision controller. However after playing with the ball knob, I can tell you it is more responsive and better to play with than the original. An example, I always found diagonal to be annoying in venture but it seemed a lot better with the ball knob.
  10. so you stole them from me, you bastage. I wanted like 4 of them.
  11. thats why we all converted our colecovision ones. It really does turn the hated colecovision controller into an awesome controller.
  12. Happy day of Birth. Nice set of games! Definitely buying all as always.
  13. Are you just not paying attention to all the posts. French SGM is the absolute last that is getting shipped. Aka you will be last.
  14. Level 3 for a lot of games and definitely pepperII adds more things to the game. By more things I mean no matter how many levels you finish on 1 and 2 you will never see the extra stuff added for level 3
  15. Its not the sgm or any revision of the sgm so there is nothing to fix for that. It has to do with the coleco setup to the expansion slot.
  16. I think your wrong, I think J-F has him locked up in his basement doing nothing but programming, I think that is where you have to bring your pitchfork. I think the new bigger company just means he locked more programmers in his basement that is why more is getting done.
  17. vapor ware always sells well because everybody has been staring at that damn flyer for 30 yrs saying maybe they will make it next year.
  18. A lot of people have discovered that the voltages straight from the power brick and the voltages taken when the colecovision is on become different and then that is when it is not working anymore. So that is a good first initial test but then you have to test it when the colecovision is on as well to confirm the voltages. If you have Lord of the Dungeon by collectorvision that is the best game to use to know if your coleco is starting to go because with the memory chip it seems to take the most power and is the first game to start failing when your power brick is just starting to go bad.
  19. Definitely a different kind of idea. I like it.
  20. Man I forgot about Monster bash. That always looked very promising. Thanks for making me remember that again and now I have a big sighhh.
  21. I don't like your new business model Pixelboy of teasing us like this and not producing.
  22. I think the only expansion module that makes sense is the intellivision one because of the rumors that there was an intellivision prototype. For historical reasons alone just like the SGM it would be awesome. However for practical reasons it just doesn't make sense because you can just buy the other console if you want to play those games. Given the other fact that you would need the blessings from the owners of the property rights it makes it even more impractical.
  23. Everyone waited forever for the pipe dream of finding joust with music. I am surprised this game has not rocketed to the stratosphere of prices that some of the other games have.
  24. so what happens when you get pearl total, is it just a bonus or a cool little bonus round like on ladybug where you go to a screen and pickup all the extra points.
