Anyway to play Coleco Games on Atari?
ColecoDan replied to gamesarefun's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
No there is no way you can play a coleco game in an atari, there would be no way for them to make an adapter unless it was a mini colecovision like the atari adapter for the colecovision is a mini atari. You can contact Yurkie to fix your colecovisions and even mod them to component. Don't know your price range though as this can get to be over $100 bucks to fix everything and mod them. At least you know everything would work though. You can also search through the forums for how to's on fixing the colecovision then you could ask some technically inclined friend to help you out. -
I am pretty sure the only store that has mention of 22nd release date is Toys R Us. The others most likely have the originally reported release date of October 1. It would make sense that Toys R Us would get an early release date since the other stores have some fancy extra that would make people want to buy those more than the Toys R Us version.

Canada forces a higher quality product for specs which is why the canadian one is better. I don't have specifics but I do know out of a lot of people complaining that their bricks have gone dead I have never heard anyone say their canadian version died. That is why I have bought canadian versions for my colecos so that I will always have a good plug.

Antarctic adventure is a classic game and many people love it. I think it is ok.

I got a 2 piece popeye box when I was looking to get all the 2 piece and 1 piece variants. It has english and french and looks like it came from canada.

ColecoVision Flashback 2 Wish List Ideas
ColecoDan replied to TrekkiELO's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
good point if it wasn't for the sound and graphic issues that people reported, I would have purchased this version. Because of those, I am not interested in buying it. -
there is no way to modify it. I am sure some genius might be able to figure something out but right now there is nothing. Nobody is going to bother trying to put a cart port on it though when you can just link an sd so you can play the roms.

i never played this game before so maybe that is how it is in the arcade but how come the 20 point is at the easy top and the 10 is at the little bit harder below the 20. Shouldn't they be switched around. Is it possible to get a 50 since that hellicopter never seems to leave the bottom?

any homebrew games using Expansion Module 2? (wheel)
ColecoDan replied to ComputerSpaceFan's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Collectorvision made a game called burn rubber that uses it. It is also supposed to support using 2 steering wheels but I have never tried it. -
For crappy Toys R Us, sounds like we have to wait for the 1st for extra game or extra inserts

Are Your NIB Colecovision Games Truly 'Factory' Sealed?
ColecoDan replied to ValkerieSilk's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
I like the favorite theme game you would want in the future. If they got a lot of people choosing one theme then they could make some future games for that theme. Pretty smart. -
yeah stop devaluing the game by selling it so low.

yeah that box really stands out, my eyes popped when I saw it.

Kickstarter won't work, Mattel is not stupid there is no way they think these games make money. They gave the big dollar figure because they don't really want them released. They figure if a rich idiot will pay them millions of dollars then fine, otherwise they do not want to see them get sold. Best bet is to release the rom for free to show everyone their awesome work. That or you have to wait until the guys in charge either retire or die so that some guy who once owned a colecovision gets the job and is like sure release it to them. -
who's their QC or marketing guy. They should really be fired. That's way too many strikes for people that would have bought a ton of these games. We may be the few but we also would have generated interest with family, friends, followers online. I am sure many have went from wanting to buy 5 or 6 to maybe buying 1. I know I went from maybe getting 2 to not wanting any now. I am probably going to get 1 intellivision from DG and call it a day.

I just had deja vu -
I assume most people from the US would pronounce it this way as well.

I think it is just like amazing bumpman with silver background and black lettering? I would have to check to see what it looks like when I go home but I thought that is what I remember it looking like.
-
the white lable black lettering are from Telegames which makes them worthless except for maybe some psycho collector that wants every variation.
-
I am sure there are other differences but some of the main ones are the grey background is a little darker and if they show you a picture of the back of the box the copy description on the back has the homebrewers name.
