  1. I know I was trying to look them over in 2009 and even though it shows on their site they hardly have any coleco stuff. Some people say they have bought adam stuff from them. I would say you email them and if they never reply you have your answer.
  2. Since you said the Atari module was not working either I would do the RF conversion first because the Atari module is not going to use the coleco VDP chip. Of course both could be bad but I would do RF first since it is easier than changing a chip.
  3. You don't have to remove data plan just remove app and block from adding. Tell wife you are disappointed that she is wasting her time with that stupid game. Start looking for new wife.
  4. It will just be the first one read by all the microsoft employees.
  5. My first game ever played was Venture on Colecovision in 82. We were visiting my parents friends who had kids older than me. I don't remember any other games there, I just remember playing Venture over and over and the big green monster scaring the Hell out of me when I took too long. I remember we were going home and I told my parents I was going to ask Santa for a Colecovision. I thought I wasn't going to get it as I opened my last present that was in this Giant box. Of course it was a colecovision because my mom learned early to put things in boxes that would not give away what the present was as I had gotten very good at guessing. Anyway it was many years ago when I finally came back, got my coleco fixed and started collecting all the games that my mom told me the story of how I got a coleco. Supposedly in 82 the Coleco was the Cabbage Patch toy of christmas. Everyone wanted one. They supposedly waited in many long lines at many stores in the middle of the night before they were finally lucky enough to get one. My mom had also told me that I asked Santa for it and she was going to put it as from Santa when my Dad told her HELL NO. We are putting it is from US. No way after all this work he gets all the credit. Pretty funny.
  6. That is definitely a game that does not pop up much on ebay, even just a loose cart. If it is not like the picture above then it is a fake or a reproduction that the UK site created. I believe their version of Boulderdash was on the small carts that was created last year or the year before.
  7. Has anyone noticed the HUGE uptick in Sealed games lately? I have hardly ever seen sealed games and now all of a sudden this year there are tons of them and many that are rare games to begin with. Is there some huge fraud going on here or is someone selling their collection of Sealed games?
  8. If I remember correctly Luc was waiting for further SGMs to be mailed out so that people would have games they need and then he was going to find out interest and do another round of his SGM games after a lot more people got their SGMs. So I assume that would at least be a year away, especially with the huge project he has going on right now.
  9. Could you imagine kids today waiting 12 seconds. I think they would look down at their phone and 1/2 an hour later go oh look the game is ready to play.
  10. FYI, The re-release of Moon Patrol and Joust could maybe be considered adjusted but they are not brand new fully redone games like hopefully dig dug will be by using arcade code for reference. Moon Patrol was Matt Patrol from way back in the day that I think was an origin Proto adjusted to have bras and other stuff in the game but not sure origin for sure. The redo moon patrol was just a hack of the Hex codes to adjust colors and shapes to a closer relation to the game and fix the title screen. For Joust it was an actual Second Proto found that didn't have the sound missing. Yes they then adjusted it a little to have a better title screen for the game but it is really still just the proto version.
  11. I was so excited to finally get the Dig dug for of course big bucks back in the day. Then to play it was so disappointing. The coleco buttons are not like the arcade you can't quickly blow up a monster. Then of course the graphics are disappointing as well. If you are truly just looking to buy this game for playing I would just use the Rom on the ColecoMax cart. Otherwise I would wait for opcode to redo the port from Arcade game which he has hinted as one of his todo. Doesn't mean it will happen but I think that would be awesome to play a better version.
  12. How bad is that thing? The first sentence says photo is generic but they tested it. So they went through the hard work of testing it and want a premium price but they couldn't bother to give you exact picture of the item? Sounds like a huge scam to me.
  13. If it was in perfect condition someone would buy it for 499 those things are worth it. That box is so beat up you are going to have to give a discount if you want someone to buy it. It is unfortunate but that is the way it goes when something is not taken care of and looks as horrible as that.
  14. Seems like Craigs List users are starting to venture into Ebay. Craigs List users are always messaging you not to offer a dollar amount or have questions but to tell you their dog just died and there grandma has cancer and would you ever think of giving things away to them or sell for cheap. Never thought that would catch on to Ebay since what the price says is what you are bidding on.
  15. yeah his sales seemed to go down once he got the bad marks. I think it is definitely why he switched accounts or is using a friends account. Didn't realize it was possible for a scumbag like that to have friends but I guess scumbags could run together.
  16. It is a copy protection feature
  17. Very true, the $500 Pacman collection is out of the ordinary and a lucky sell but many games are way over $130.
  18. There are not many people that have converted their coleco to F18a. To add support for it would be ok but to require it would not make sense.
  19. There were a lot of carts made so some times one will come up for sale. These only came CIB with box and manual so if you see one without then that person made a fake one and is selling it. There is the possibility that it will be refreshed and released again but no one ever knows for sure.
  20. DK Arcade is the December Release. DK Jr is in the list of wanted projects to do with many other. Basically who knows when or if any of them will get done.
  21. That is true most stories I have seen talk about just replacing the IC, Of course a lot of people take the tiime to socket the IC so it is easier to replace in the future. It is possible if some had your problem that the are fixing whatever lose solder point there was when they are replacing with a socket. Good point though, I wonder how many just automatically replace the IC or if they check all the soldering.
  22. Is there anyone that knows those guys personally and can contact them in another way besides email? I am just thinking that you could potentially piss them off if they get 100s of emails rather than giving them excitement to get the game ported. There is also the possibility that they created the email for their game production and if they are no longer in the scene they don't look at that email and it won't do any good either. Maybe the MSX competition has some people with more information than just their email?
  23. you can get your coleco fixed. If this ever does come to fruition I would think it will be many years before it is actually made and sold.
