Thanks for the effort and work. Mine wasn't necessarily laziness, I just didn't want the extra footprint of my info being on another site. Also I kindof enjoy seeing other people on this site putting up scores and have gotten used to remembering some of the names a little and didn't want to lose that by going to another site. I would have been happy if you would have started playing on another site, so I wouldn't have to beat your killer scores Dan! Thanks a lot Yurkie, I am not feeling the love You got me on Smurf!!! I was all happy to put that score up and then you kicked my but right away. I was going to try to top it but got too busy to play again

AAAHHH! Please tell me I didn't miss Word Feud on Ebay and you got it somewhere else. I am going to have to write a program that makes a call to ebay every 20 minutes and searches for my games that I am missing.

That's all you need eh. Most of these are rare to very rare just so you know. Like some of them on your list are going to cost $200 - $400. And a couple are impossible to find and I am still to this day looking for them. Also just so you know Amazing Bumpman does not have a Box, it came in a telegames plastic holder or some of them might have been in those cheap clamshels

sorry way too many games and some of them are ones we did this year. I sometimes had trouble finding time for one game during the 2 week span. Also not interested in going out to another site and joining it just to do this. That might be where you are losing everyone the fact that they have to go join another site.

ColecoVision System Refurbish with composite A/V mod
ColecoDan replied to Yurkie's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Got my Yurkie moded Colecovision in the mail this morning. Considering all the problems I had with colecovisions in 1982 when I first got them, I guess you could say it is definitely better than new. It can't get much better than playing colecovision on a 48inch LCD Oh wait maybe if I ever get that 70 inch LED then that would be better The machine is perfect as everything always is from Yurkie! I didn't even care about the pause feature but I gotta tell you I already used it twice when people had the nerve to call me while I was playing a game. -

I have the 1 piece box from 82 or 83 when I got it as a kid and it has the gold/beige label not the silver label. So this is either the other way around or it just doesn't hold up as the standard.

Help with Skill Screen and controllers
ColecoDan replied to captcapcom's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Yurkie on here is able to fix them and he also mods them to become 100% better than original, however that doesn't help if you are looking to feel and experience the PAIN the old controllers used to deal out to its users So if you are willing to send them to someone to clean and not have to deal with it then he is very good and I would recommend that. I don't know about the buttons but I would say opening them up and cleaning the contacts should help the other controller respond better. You could always try to clean them yourself and if you can't figure it out then send them to Yurkie:) I am sure if you do a search on the forum you will find many different times people have talked about how to clean them that would probably give you a lot of ideas. The Atari Adapter I haven't used in a long time so I don't remember if it was totally flush or if there was a little break between them but there was definitely no latch to hold it. You could clean the contacts on the module and the colecovision with alcohol cleaner and maybe that will help you with some of your intermitten problems. -
Interest check: ColecoVision trading cards!
ColecoDan replied to Pixelboy's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Please please publishers do that!!!!.... include a litter catalogue of your games in each box in the same style that was done in 80's. That's an idea i love!. Being child i spent hours and hours to browse this kind of catalogue dreaming at what game i could have if i were rich... So may, you could do a common catalogue to share cost. (Pixelboy, Collectorvision, opcode, newcoleco and others...) It probably would make more sense money wise to do all publishers one catalogue. However I must insist that you follow the Coleco lead and publish a lot of vapor ware on it that will never be done -
Interest check: ColecoVision trading cards!
ColecoDan replied to Pixelboy's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
I think I like the playing card idea as well simply because I would actually use them. Trading cards I never even got into for baseball or any other trading card types that exist so a colecovision one wouldn't interest me either. -
It almost sounds like all they were going to do is have you bet and you wouldn't be controlling the horse. I like the idea of changing weather. It would be cool to see it snowing as they ran That was the part I liked the most in Turbo when the weather would change.

Masters of the Universe - The Power of He-Man
ColecoDan replied to NIAD's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Hey I am sure no one has ever talked to THQ, Maybe they wouldn't mind putting the release under their umbrella or they would charge something less than the ridiculous price that mattel would charge. -
Now you're going to have people killing off mario so they can watch the stack of barrels disappear.

I am in a better mood now that I have been playing around in the Opcode thread about Donkey Kong I can see how a search would miss it since the name does not have rarity in the name which is what most people would probably search on. Your post unfortunately came after some people that probably didn't even bother to do a search and interrupted other topics to ask for it. That is probably what left the bad taste.

I like how you combine games that is a pretty cool concept. Before you described your Mario vs Kong concept I thought you were talking about something like Mario Bros using Kong. So little Kongs would come on the screen just like the turtles and when you bump them they would fall on their back and move their arms and legs around and then you could knock them down just like the turtles.
-
Wow that would be amazing!!!!!!! I really like that idea a lot. It really flows well with the basic story of the two games as well.
-
Huh, no, you've got it wrong. Look again at the Opcode web site: DKA and DKC are two separate projects. DKA will be released first, and DKC a few years later (hopefully). If I were in Eduardo's shoes, I would refer to DKC as simply Donkey Kong Jr Arcade, and then include DKA as bonus material on the same MegaCart. But alas, it's Eduardo's project, not mine. Ah ok, Well that is cool too. more money for him and more enjoyment for me I hadn't seen his new site. It looks pretty cool now that I have taken a look at it
-
Thats awesome Opcode!!! I know I definitely love playing your games and am extremely looking forward to DKA especially if this new news of Pixelboy is correct and DKJ is also on it. That would be totally awesome. I think you just broke me otta my grouchy mood.

I bumped a topic with your answer since you are the second person in a week to ask for this list without even doing a search. Sorry a little grouchy this morning.

ColecoVision & ADAM Cartridge Collector's List v1.0
ColecoDan replied to NIAD's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
bump, tired of people asking for this list -
It's not going to pass Mario Bros. If it even passes 100 bucks then the bidders are idiots. Both of those loose are not hard to find. The only things hard to find and worth a ton of money are CIB unless you are talking Skiing or Amazing Bumpman since they didn't have boxes. I would also pay a lot for Boulder dash in cart only since it is impossible to find either way.

What is your most rare colecovision game
ColecoDan replied to atari5200dude82's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
There is a rarity guide in the forums that was an attempt at updating the old rarity guides that you can find searching on the internet. A quick scan of the topics in this forum would find it for yourself. I don't want to make you feel worse Yurkie but on ebay probably around the same 1 yr time period a buy it now for $10 was on a CIB One on one. I was thinking of getting it but already had a CIB copy of it and I don't really buy things for shear profit of it. Don't know why I didn't buy it because I should have but it didn't last long. It was probably on the board for a total of 1/2 hour and only lasted about 10 minutes longer after I saw it. I am suprised the one you saw only went for $60 that is a pretty good price as well. I was able to get a CIB Memory Manor a few months back and I should have put that in my rare findings because that one seems to be very hard to find even though it is not rated that high in rarity on the guides. -
What is your most rare colecovision game
ColecoDan replied to atari5200dude82's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
It was on sale on ebay for Buy it now $500 a couple of weeks ago you missed it. -
$5 bucks holy cow. You basically hit the guy with a club and took it from him I wonder how sad he would be if he knew he could have gotten $200 - $400
