I don't know about public domain but if you are making some kind of fancy authentic label it would be nice for the collectors in the group if you could put some kind of identifying mark on the label so we know it is not the authentic real deal cart since there are so many fakes out there and it is so hard to find the real deal.

I have enjoyed playing your games Opcode and look forward to many more I hate when I lose work and can definitely relate to the feeling of frustration and wanting to give up. Glad you finally got the urge to pick yourself up off the floor and kick some ass.

Not sure what controversy you are talking about. I know there are two releases an early cart release and a re-release by collectorvision. I do not know if there are any differences in the two releases or if they are exactly the same. I have the one from collectorvision. The game is pretty cool and definitely hard, I thought. I still haven't set aside enough time to get good at it but did play it long enough to know it was going to be giving me headaches for a while until I got faster at getting the egg to move so the darn thing wouldn't get eaten.

Well you scared me into checking my Kevtris cart and it seems to be screwed up so it is possible that he did create the carts and they are error prone. The screen takes forever to get it to work usually comes up with the colecovision screen when I finally got it to work it started up and then after a minute it crashed and I haven't been able to get a stable enough start to try and play it again. Do we know anyone who knows how to fix these things. I wouldn't mind the lable with a screw hole and a cut at the seam if I could get the cart to work again. That would be better than a messed up cart.

He asked for REQUIRED games so technically even though I believe people like to use the roller controller with war games it is not required to play the game.

You may laugh at the price but the last 2 Kevtris Carts that I saw come through ebay this last year both went for around $320

Two player games are definitely cool but without the option to be able to play alone which would happen to me probably 80 - 90 percent of the time the game would be useless.

I used to use this site to judge, the prices for the CIB are pretty out dated on a lot of them but the loose dollar amounts are not too bad and the rarity meater on them isn't too bad. Since 2 years ago when I found this site I don't think I have noticed any change though so I believe it is not updated anymore.

You are absolutely correct but sometimes you do get lucky, Congo Bongo CIB is hard to find and I got it for $40 I guess everyone must have got one when I wasn't collecting not sure why I was able to get it for so low. I have definitely paid a small fortune though to get where I am which is only like 7 very hard to find CIB left and 8 probably never going to see CIB.

100 - 125 for CIB Mr Do's Castle would be an awesome deal. These have been going around $200 on ebay, sometimes more sometimes less.

I have all his games even one of his prototypes. Unfortunately I have only played pac man, space invaders collection, and the prototype(Comic Bakery). They were all awesome though and I will eventually play all of his games. Pretty much all of the Homebrews are turning out awesome games though. Even games I got that I didn't think would be that great turn out to be pretty awesome and a lot of fun. Some examples: 1. Girls Garden(Team Pixelboy) I figured I just want to own everything and it can't be that bad however I have played it for hours and love this game. I definitely wish I could punch the bears or something because they are very annoying 2. Mr. Chin(Collectorvision) I actually thought it was a pretty stupid concept but played it for the High Scorers Club and it is definitely awesome. I was so addicted to this game that I kept playing it even after we were done with it on the HSC. 3. Amazing Snake(Daniel Bienvenu) Kind of same thing just wanted to have everything so I got it when someone was selling it and it reminds me a lot of snafu on the intellivision when I used to play that so becomes nostolgic while you are having fun playing the game. Basically the moral to this story is buy all the games from all the homebrewers and I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised. Two thumbs up to all the Homebrewers out there. :thumbsup:

NIAD made a rarity list recently with all known games for coleco. It is this topic in the current forum you posted this. Name = "ColecoVision & ADAM Cartridge Collector's List v1.0 " The end of that topic will have the newest version of that list. Non-working carts --- clean the cart with an alcohol based cleaning solution it almost always works but if it doesn't then you can pretty much consider the cart dead. Do a search for AtariMax in google. They made an SD colecovision cart where you can get all the games as roms on one cart and play them on your colecovision. You can get the roms on the web. Yurkie fixes colecovisions for a pretty good price so if you want you can contact him and see what he can do for you, He also makes the colecovision controllers 100% better by putting a ball knob to replace the hand controller and straightening the cords to give you longer reach. I am sure there are sites and other forum articles here to help you fix things yourself and Yurkie could probably help you with that as well. That problem where some of your carts are clear and some of them get blury or have artifacts all over the screen is usually the on/off power switch. That switch has some kind of grease on it that causes problems when it dries out. You would have to clean it and reapply. Yurkie knows what kind of stuff to put on there and you can probably search google or this forum for the answer as well. There are Homebrew people as well currently creating games for colecovision so you can get games that were never released from colecovision. Pixelboy(www.pixelboy.com), Retroillucid(www.colecovision.dk), Opcode(www.opcodegames.com), NewColeco(www.ccjvq.com/newcoleco/) Hope this is a good start of info for you

I was going to take a picture of my silver boxed gust buster and campaign 84 and both cart labels are gold. I guess I just assumed they were like Quest for Quintana Roo and that the label would be silver. I will take some pictures of my silver boxed Gust Buster and Campaign 84 when I get home. I am pretty sure they had silver label carts but I don't remember. I have never seen a Rolloverture in a silver variation. I am a hardcore collector that has tried to get every CIB that I could find and only have like 9 left to get with almost every homebrew accounted for as well. However I just got my colecovision Referbished at the end of 2009 so I have only been hardcore collecting since then. So even though I have searched high and low for things and know a lot, I definitely can not state for sure that there is no Rolloverture silver box. I also have never seen a yellow variation of Mountain King but that does not mean it does not exist somewhere. Dan

Another thing I was wondering is that I don't know how the arcade works but on the intellivision the middle item that pops up would always change as you got to the new level and I think it was on the right side it would show the current middle item and the before screen preparing you for the next round would show you the next item that you could get and how much it was worth. It was just something cool to see what the next level had for the middle extra point value. I don't know if you were already planning to have that but just wanted to mention it in case you were not. Otherwise the game looks pretty darn cool.

Unless you are fixing bugs that crash a game like burgertime or beamrider or totally revamping the game to make it authentic and better like Opcodes Donkey Kong I really don't care to buy any of the current games just tweaked a little. I would rather get a whole new game that I have never had. Work on some of your projects like Utopia, Quest for the Rings, K.C. Mega Maze, Module Man, Pick Axe Pete, Arabian, Discs of Tron. Those are the amazing games that I am drooling over.

I hate April fools. I expect you to make this game for me now.
