I take it that you didn't make it to the end.... I couldn't get past the mountain. I kept falling off. I got so pissed I stopped playing. Are you saying it actually gets cool if you pass that mountain that makes it like you are trying to drive drunk.

Don't know how many people have Joust but I got it like a month ago and absolutely love it. Still have a ton of games I have never played so pretty much anything you pick will be cool, I never knew threshold was so fun until we played it this year. I tried Motorcross once and it has to be the worst game I have ever tried to play on coleco.

Yeah but in the 80's my mom would have told me I had to wait for next christmas or my birthday and I would have ended up with maybe 1 of these games with my own money. Now I just say YES PLEASE MAY I BUY ANOTHER

You have to serve a beer to each customer. If the customer flys off the screen then you satisfied his (root) BEER craving. If the customer hangs around and drinks then you will need to serve him another beer when he finishes drinking the one you just gave him. If you send more beers down the surface then there are patrons to drink it then it will fly off the bar and you will die. If a patron reaches the end of the bar you will die. If an empty mug reaches the end of the bar and comes crashing down then you die. You do not have to stick around and watch the guy drink usually I go down the 4 levels with beer being sent right away. If they leave you a tip and you run down the bar to get it then it causes dancing girls or other things to come out and the patrons will watch the show and pause. If you throw a beer at them while this is happening then they won't catch it and you will die. basically if they are walking toward you then you are good to throw a beer at them and if they are drinking or watching the show then you can't throw a beer at them. If there are three guys walking toward you then you can throw three beers right away you don't have to wait for the lead guy to drink. The coleco version makes the mugs coming back very slow so I usually don't worry about them unless I have to. If you serve all the patrons it won't matter that there are mugs coming back to you the round will end. I really love this game a lot even with the flickering. This game and Dig Dug were always my favorite games to play in the arcade. You could also do a search on youtube a lot of times there will be a video up of someone playing the game so you can watch them play if that helps you understand it better.

I know I always started to fall into a trance from the Smurf rescue games music. You could always use that one as well.

Pixelboy I think you must have been possessed by my marketing guy in my company. He has definitely cost me extra hours of programming for his stupid reasoning. I have to tell you though you may think you don't need the overlay because you should remember the buttons but I know I was always glancing down when playing rocky trying to remember which button to push and that overlay was nice to have.

All you have to do is scroll down to the bottom of the current set of topics and there are 2 or 3 topics on the bottom that talk about modding it. There are also plug in battery packs that were meant for some coleco home arcade game but also work in the expansion module once in a while they pop up on ebay.

I have a copy of that fireman CIB and it is a pretty cool box as well

I really like the Zaxxon box and cart, I think it looks pretty cool. Yeah that was how I felt NIAD, I was just going to see how high it went and bid but then I was like it is not far off from 99 already so I just pulled the trigger. I have almost all the homebrews 5-11 so I will try to compare it with them. Although when I talked to him long ago way before he was selling these on ebay he said he got them in like 86 or 87 from someone overseas. That was why he said they thought they were originals. Don't know if he was pulling my leg but I told him that I knew the tank wars was not authentic because I had seen one of those before and I didn't know about the others. Then I forgot how maybe it was J-F or something but we figured that Cosmic Crisis was not authentic. Then from everything I could figure out the Meteoric Shower was either real or a very good repro but there was no way I was paying 300 for a cart that I was not sure about. Although he also thought the CBS Football on ebay was real as well and I knew that one was just a telegames version and I don't consider myself an expert since I just got my coleco fixed this year and found out about all this stuff this year. Anyway at least with the other bit corp titles I had the telegames releases but I have no meteoric shower so that is why I had the most interest in that one.

I figured I don't have metoric shower and probably never will get it since no one can even confirm with pictures what all these bit corp games are supposed to look like. The picture I posted here with the box had everone in the other forum saying it was authentic but you think it is not. So I doubt anyone will ever have the authentic ones or if they do they will never know it if no one can see what they are supposed to look like. The guy that had that CIB was from overseas and he said it matched what a guy who originally bought them in the store had that is why they all thought it was authentic. Of course we are all on forums so who knows if he was speaking the truth but he wasn't trying to sell it just show everone so I assumed he must be right. Anyway, I figure I have done dumber things in my life for more money than $99 and when I talked to this guy originally he was trying to get $300 a cart , so I figured what the hell and bought it. I don't know if there is any definate way to figure out if it is authentic but if you have ideas when I get it I can let you know or take better pictures than the ones this guy took. Anyway at worst case I will have a descent repro cart that I can play metoric shower.

yeah I think if you are not in the same area as Yurkie then shipping could totally ruin any price you get for the colecovision. Even if you factor in some of the ones that come with games and cost over 100 as possibly being 40 - 70 dollars for the coleco because of the worth of the games included with system that with shipping both ways and the costs for him to fix it you could end up above his $130 price.
