  1. Thats funny I was just looking at Atari2600 and ran into the same type of thing, Steamroller colecovision just came up on atari2600.com for 189.95 yet you can still buy it straight from the developer for like $40 bucks. I kinda feel sorry for people that don't have time to do research or who are new and don't realize how much they are getting screwed.
  2. I don't know if your word feud can be fixed but I can tell you that Atari2600.com has some word feud carts for sale so you can get another one if you can't fix it.
  3. Just a heads up if you are not aware. When you send a paypal gift over a certain amount the buyer has to pay the fee's. I do not know the limit, but I know for a $250 gift payment, I had to pay $7.55 in fees. Not sure when they started doing that, but it is lame. If you used a credit card they are making you pay what retail places usually have to pay when you use a credit card. If you don't choose gift than the other person has to pay the credit card charges. If you use your bank account you won't see that charge
  4. We haven't even talked price yet because wanted to make sure they were valid. Is there a definate way to tell if they are real? I could always propose that to him. Dan
  5. here is a picture of the bottom of cart, not sure if it will help or not
  6. Well the guy emailed me back and said he can't remember where he got the bit corps because he got them all the way back in 1986. Were people already making copies in 86? He says some atari bit corps that he got have the labels upside down as well. He is going to look into it as well he said because he was suprised to hear that people were not sure they were real. Dan
  7. 82840 I think I am starting to hate this game I was at 82840 with 3 lives left and couldn't get another point.
  8. yeah I have fireman and it also comes with a box, not sure why this guy would not have the box for such a newer homebrew. Coleconut still has them left so definitely contact him. I have played it a couple of times and it is a neat little game. Definitely had fun playing it.
  9. Yeah I have the dig dug one as well but didn't know they created a joust thanks.
  10. I could ask him to look for a production number, is it possible to look at the bottom of the cart and see this number? Where exactly is it because I don't want to tell him what to look for but where to look for it that way if he gives me that number then I guess they are real.
  11. Thanks evg2000 that is good to know, I would definately rather find one of those instead of someone that just made their own.
  12. By the way this guy had a Boulder Dash cart as well but since I too am looking for Boulder dash and do not have it, I do not know if this is authentic. I am trying to hold out for the holy grail of the Boulder Dash CIB
  13. Oh I also got info that the Ms Space Fury could be authentic but that the box was created by retroillucid, he confirmed that.
  14. True, I would be more inclined to get it if it was a repro that was released at a show or something instead of some guy just making this one cart and a label so he had joust in cart form. You know gives a little history and story behind the release of that version of the cart. Just like some of the ones today like Escape from the mindmaster or the super donkey kong or super donkey kong jr carts that were made. By the way I got info that it is possible the Tank Wars could be authentic but that the other two would most likely be repros based of the same style as the Tank Wars cart. Not official but a possibility.
  15. so your joust doesn't look like that Pixelboy? You wouldn't happen to have a picture of your joust so I would know in the future? Thanks for the info though.
  16. Hey guys, I was wondering if some of your expertise could help me out. I have been talking to this guy about buying some stuff from him and was wondering if you could authenticate these things since I have never seen them before. One of the pictures has a Joust cart. I was wondering if this was the re-release going around or if someone just put a rom in a cart and made the label. Another picture has his Bit Corp collection -- (Meteoric Shower, Tank Wars, Cosmic Crisis) - Once again I have never seen the true picture of these carts so I do not know if they are real or not. Finally the last picture has the Ms Space Fury with Box. -- Does this look like what was released by Daniel? I forgot who created it. Thanks for any help you can give me guys.
  17. Sweet I was wondering what the game was going to be like for the controller I was buying
  18. 5930 Ya know what knowing that stuff does help get you a better score but it is still a hard game. You end up trying for 300 saucers so much that you die a little more and I couldn't even get past the 4th board to try the other method. Of course I guess I have only tried it for about an hour. Gotta get back to working though. Thanks NE146 Dan
  19. thats a very interesting article thanks. I think I am coming close to the beginning of what the article talked about because I usually get to the 4th screen with losing 1 or 2 lives. I have never tried to finish off the rows from left to right though because I usually started getting the bottom ships as I go accross the screen and then get rid of the right side for a few columns and then move back to the left side and get rid of a few of the columns. I will try some of this stuff out.
  20. Ah, that sounds more like a bug that we are not supposed to take advantage of if the bullets are passing right through you.
