I have to agree, don't care about the Adam at all but bought all three of those boxes because they were sOO cool. Have every coleco game and those 3 are the only ones that have just sat on the shelf and done nothing.

I didn't know I was very close to NIAD until we talked. If you let people know what state you are in then maybe people in the same state could PM you to find out if you guys are in same city or close. Then maybe they can drive over with their 2600, coleco, and power brick and you guys could figure out which one is broken without purchasing something.

The point was explanation of why the original was pulled, as TPR noted. If you go back upthread, this is the item that was pulled that the (re)seller is carping about:

I know it is mean but you really do deserve to get screwed if you are going to buy something that expensive and not do any research at all.
It would not be hard to do simple search and discover it was a released colecovision game and what the cart looked like. Then you can even look on ebay and notice your $800 cart is going for $20 bucks as the authentic labeled game.
As for whoever originally sold it to him if his story is true then that is not cool to knowingly screw someone over. It is one thing to sell things for a high price it is another thing to sell something you know is worthless for a high price.

When you say boxed on those games does that mean tape? The arcade cabinet boxes would be rare any other packaging for those would be common and not rare at all.

Probably because Opcode can reach a bigger audience there. FaceBook is huge,I don't blame them for having giveaways there.

WOW. I understand it would be hard to find a NIB looking that good. I guess it sucks when 2 people both feel that way. Glad for all my CIB hangups and not NIB hangups. Just CIB has cost a fortune. Couldn't imagine NIB.

It is an old game that had like 60 games made when homebrewers used to only sell 25 or 30. Way back then to get people excited he promised that he would never make more. He understands it sucks and now is a different time but he is a man who doesn't go against his word. Be grateful there are a couple people left in the world that actually keep their word.
He is working on a new game that will be similar or a ghost and zombie II if you will that he says will be WAY better and make everyone happy.
Back in the day that was how the colecovision seen was , VERY small numbers and everyone had status by what they had. There are still many colecovision games still hidden from us by that old guard. Just be happy that period is over an you are in the scene now when pretty much everyone trying to get a game gets one and the rom is usually released after being sold out.
I know you guys are new and don't realize the history so this is not me trying to chastise you just trying to cut this topic off before other new people start complaining as well.

they never do the preorders until they are almost ready to ship. Otherwise they might have your preorder for many months before they are ready to release. Some things people were working on still have never been finished so see it creates a headache.

I am going to get a reproduction colecovision sticker made but I need a high resolution scan of the front sticker on the front of a colecovision. If I all works out really nicely I might be able to offer reproductions for other people. Any help would be much appreciated.
There is a thread somewhere in the forum with someone that already has the stickers. Of course you can always make your own but if it was because you thought nobody else offered it then you just have to find the thread and get one.

Sorry J-F . I never chimed in when all that stuff was going on I just kept thinking to my self this guy is bad news. Reason never seemed to calm him down he kept attacking and attacking. I think he has shown his true colors he never came here to do something for the community, he saw a hole to attack and used some fake sympathy for people to gain some extra money. He is a true loser who only came in to cause trouble. Now that he got kicked out he is a spoiled brat attacking people that never even attacked him. You think if he truly felt attacked he would be duplicating Opcodes games but instead he is just attacking the whole community who never even attacked him.
Too bad my job isn't mob enforcer or something then I would go visit him

Yes, I was hoping to purchase roms for some of the newer games that I missed out on.
they haven't sold roms in the past, usually if you want to wait for the rom then you have to wait until they sell out of the game and then they release them. So eventually the rom gets released you just have to wait a long time if you don't want a physical cart.

What about 3rd run? I am at the site but I think it is broken or otherwise not compatible with Chrome browser. When I click on "visit page" button when the image of SGM comes up with 3rd run coming soon, it leads to http://opcodegames.com/#and nothing else is shown.

Those repro carts (eColeco?) are worth 30 bucks or so at the most IMHO.
Speaking of repro "proto" games, I got ripped off a couple years ago on Escape From The Mindmaster.. payed $80. Ouch.
Not sure what you mean by repo proto games. Yeah if you got a guy that made his own labels then yeah you got ripped off but if they are authentic eColeco carts with label then 80 is not getting ripped off that is a pretty good deal. eColeco was official rights holder and even though they made cheap labels those are still authentic games that many collectors want.
