Not really. The board could be vertical with no flicker, since the pegs are made from the missile objects and the screen pixels can be on or off at any regular interval (even by fives, if you wanted). The mock up screen shown would have NO flicker, since the objects are never reused on a given scanline). Player and missile objects have plenty of vertical resolution for minute "steps" within the background pixels, enough to allow even a straight track if you wanted. By using lookup tables, it wont be difficult to program where the next point's screen position should be at. As far as the turn logic goes, you could simply press the button with the cursor on the deck of cards to pass during a GO situation. Simple AI could double-check that you actually cannot play a card. Once a player's cards are out, the program simply forces the GO routine so that the other player can continue. The hard part would be actually SHOWING where that cards counted up at the end of a round (15-2, 15-4, Run-3, etc.).... but it could just be skipped with a full tally being added to the score if it were too memory-hungry to pull off (lookup tables again). The Apple II computer had a binary cribbage game programmed in less than 2k, so I believe that it should be possible in under 4k.

Note that the first one has #49950. The end of a tablet could have been there, right? (50 sheet tablets) Or even at 50000. Since tablets are not always opened in the correct order (due to an oversight or damage), I suspect that they are both from the same place. Due to the popularity of the system at the time, this scenario is not hard to believe. Another is that the people taking the orders at the time were not using the same group of blank sales slips. Another possibility in such chaos.

Sorry, I was misled by the word "draws".

That's a HARDCORE gamer! Doesn't that make it uncomfortable to walk?

Try again.... that's taken.

Hmm.... a lot of lowball figures here. The answer might be closer to the figure that I had to wash out of my mind (she's a game player.... that much is certian). And of course they are clean!! What kind of a girl do you think she is?? Just because you have a dresser, doesn't mean that you always use it. Dirty undies go in the bathroom hamper or directly down the stairs to the laundry.

Or you could just use the center for the cards in play/count display, and use digits at the top to keep score.... but I like the peg holes. What would you guys prefer?
-
Dang! That is a bed. I suppose they would keep you warm and snuggly if you played them often enough.

I'm just glad to be in there someplace. "Who knows....maybe you and he can make love and think about me." -Bernadette Peters (The Jerk)

Joyful mad scientist seeks human egg donors..... will trade same with Combat carts. Age/race not important

First pubes and now undies.... I could CLONE StanJr his perfect woman for him. Soon the whole board will be smitten! Aaa-haaa haaa haaa!

Player can make the perfect hand here... (I know the deck wouldn't be shown yet)

Cribbage is an excellent suggestion.... much better than Bridge. And it wouldn't require loads of AI for a good game! You could use the two players to form the cards and suits (layed out diagonally on opposite corners ) with the missiles being the counting pegs. The ball could be the selection cursor. Since the computer's cards are not shown until the end of a round, you could use that area to display the cards in play. Good Job!

Because ladies shop in groups. 120 views in a couple hours....that's got to be some kind of record.

Looking for info on where to purchase a coin-op video game.
Sir Plus replied to redsbuyer's topic in Arcade and Pinball
Classified ads in your local paper sometimes list gameroom equipment, as well (often with the caption "best offer"). And you can save the shipping charge to restore it back to it's glory. -
tron (i know you guys hate this but... possible homebrew?)
Sir Plus replied to inextremis staple's topic in Atari 2600
Not really, but I thought that he was referring to changing the game's graphics. Is that possible beyond color changes? -
S....six. Brrr....I'll prolly get pneumonia before the 10th.

Ulp...

GAH! Im trying to guess, but the thought of winning your cookies keeps getting in the way (I can only think of one number, but it's kind of high). Excuse me while I go soak my skull.

I have doubts about that....the game's "kernal" would have to probably be significantly different. Besides changing the colors, that is. Programmers' opinions? -
Not everyone has access to digital camera equipment (or even photos that they can mail to the Al's). Probably see some more once Santa makes his rounds, though. I'd imagine that there are probably a lot of users who dont even USE the boards, much less uploading a picture into their profile. But its only been a couple weeks, anyway.

why isn't "world class bowling" on the mame32 rom
Sir Plus replied to Atari freak 1's topic in Emulation
-Is it the correct version number to work with that rom? Mame is notorious for changing things. -Did you audit the game after placing the rom in the roms directory? (make sure that "all games" is selected at the left side). Check that it is OK with that function. -If the game's name does not appear in the "all games" catagory, that version of Mame32 does not support the game. -
Not enough to notice visually, but enough to give you an extra moment or two for how long it takes a rock to cross the screen. Never did care for Atari's joystick Asteroids, is Thomas's version's scores accepted at TG?
