  1. The store is on vacation, so I would assume that he's on vacation. It was more a "Hey, what's the usual experience people get when purchasing from the store", because normally, I've never waited longer than 3 or 4 days to get something I bought, so I find two weeks to be a bit out of the ordinary. Thus, was curious if that's lately been typical turnaround, or if I should chalk it up to vacation.
  2. If I made a purchase on the first, a while before the store went on vacation, but haven't received it yet, would it be safe to assume I'm not going to see it until after he gets back?
  3. 2 weeks and no Space Duel yet. :(

  4. Considering what I had to pay for Motor Psycho and Planet Smashers, you got a seriously good deal.
  5. Given the semi-rarity of all three of those, buy them. Assembling a full set of 7800 games is one of the easier classic collecting tasks, and it's well worth it when you can look down and see an A-Z of every released cart for the 7800. Satisfying.
  6. I think everyone is on pins and needles, waiting to get that message that says "Send your donors". I think the way people respond to your releases should never ever let you forget how much the community likes you and your work, Bob.
  7. I'll take all the advice under advisement. I figure, even if it's not perfect, I still have a couple other clean 7800s, and my CRT TV has barely 100 hours of use on it, and my other one was unused entirely. . . so I'm sure I should be decent on that front for a while.
  8. Same, in regards to Zelda. However, I have the Zelda collection disc for the 'cube, so I'm not missing too much. Having it portable would be nice, though. It's not as though the regular DS couldn't have done it, however. Also, for the remake of Starfox 64. Especially after that painfully disappointing Starfox Command on DS. Or Adventures on 'cube, or the other one on it that I can't recall the name of. The one where it promised a return to spaceflight, and instead, you got 3 flight levels, and 7 ground ones.
  9. I see no real point in sealed copies. People might faint and scream over someone popping the seal and *gasp* playing the game, but. . . What good is a sealed copy? It's a box on a shelf, that you can never DO anything with. Yep, there's a game in there. Nope, you can't really do anything at all with it. Ever. Except look at it. Isn't the core of this hobby the love of Atari games, not the love of Atari boxes?
  10. I generally play on a 7800, unless it's one of the unlucky few games that won't work on my 7800, then I use the Jr. The Jr. gets used simply because it takes up the least amount of space, and my "classic gaming" TV zone is already quite filled with all the standard 70's-80's fare, so a full size early model 2600 would take up too much space.
  11. This, I think, combined with the thwack of Starcraft II requiring three purchases of 59.99 each to have the "complete" game is what pretty much severs my relationship with Blizzard. Sad, too. I still have my original Warcraft: Orcs and Humans, all the way through Warcraft III, Starcraft and Brood War, both Diablos, even the oddball "Hellfire" pack for the first one. I can't support these kind of decisions, though. I'm not normally one to be all "OMG YOU HAVE DONE X I WON'T BUY YOUR GAME", and I've let slide a lot of things from a lot of developers, but, I think this is really pushing it. Blizzard used to have a lot of goodwill in the gaming community, and they're burning through it really fast.
  12. You're saying a nintendo system won't get must-play games? That'd be a first. The Gamecube was kind of riding real close to that line. That was the first Nintendo system I truly had regret for buying.
  13. Ahem... 7800 XM Well, then nevermind. I'll just continue playing it on my Jaguar.
  14. With the return of the store, Space Duel will soon be winging it's way to my 7800. :D

  15. This is really snazzy, and I look forward to it, having an unhealthy addiction to Tempest in all it's forms, from the lowly 2600 prototype, to the stellar Tempest 2000. This is truly a game that deserves a home on each Atari system, and I look forward to seeing it in eventual cartridge form for the 7800.
  16. Maybe. Probably not. I'll get the PSVita though. Nintendo doesn't have a good track record with 3D. I should know, I've still got my Virtual Boy. Besides which, testing Pilotwings at Best Buy gave me a raging, burning headache. So I'd basically be using it as a 2D system anyway.
  17. Like I've previously said, you can get them fairly low cost if you search eBay internationally. Remember, our uncommon was their common. That said, for certain games, I don't care for the feel of them, but for games like Double Dragon, they're a lifesaver. I personally tend to remove the little thumbstick that comes with them, as I don't like the feel of it. Otherwise, they work great, and I'm glad I have a pair of 'em.
  18. I've been thinking of switching one of my spare 7800s over to composite, however, looking around, I find what seems like tons of people, each offering one that looks different, both in DIY and selling the service of doing it for you. Even just on eBay, I can usually find 2 or 3 different people offering both DIY and full service on it. I know next to nothing when it comes to the a/v mod stuff, as I've got a couple of barely used CRT TVs for my systems, but decided to plan for the future. When I searched here a bit, most of the stuff I find is from a year or more ago, so I wasn't sure what's on the up and up with this sort of thing. Any tips?
  19. Good to hear. I've delayed far too long on picking up Bob's Failsafe/Asteroids Deluxe/Space Duel/Space Invaders for 7800. That needs rectified. I could probably also stand to grab Ladybug and KO Cruiser. I shouldn't plan any farther ahead, or I'll end up wanting to buy hundreds of dollars of stuff. I'm ashamed to admit that I have no idea if you're serious or not.
  20. Yeah, as of the moment, I have no idea how to tell the difference. I know that via playing that lottery before, I've ended up with a fair share of white label. From what I can tell, the silver isn't even supposed to be that uncommon. I'll do some research, see what I can come up with.
  21. Is this somehow an uncommon game, or more that nobody noticed my topic? That said, if no one has one to sell, does anyone know a way to identify a boxed copy, and know that it contains the silver label as opposed to white label?
  22. If this has been asked already, I apologize. I haven't seen a topic for it. Is there an ETA of sorts for it's return? I miss it, and I've been itching to make a purchase or four.
  23. Yeah, I tried popping the spindle up a bit. No dice, sadly. I'm not at home right now, but the next time I have a chance, I'll see about following that repair sheet, and I'll post back what sort of results I get.
