  1. I dunno if this counts...but I was playing Colecovision in like 1989-1990 and maybe beyond until it broke. It was my first game system...but it was a hand-me-down from my uncle when they moved away. He gave it to me in 1988 or 89 and I played it until it stopped working...then my cheap ass parents finally bought me an NES when I asked them if we could get the Coleco fixed. I didn't even want an NES at the time...but they couldn't get the Coleco fixed and so over time I grew to love the NES. I only had SMB/Duck Hunt, Leg. of Zelda, Pinball, & Solomon's Key (my fav. NES game). Thankfully..and unlike many posters above...I kept the broken Colecovision and Yurkie just fixed it about 2 months ago. It works now. Imagine that! I lugged a broken machine around through about 12 moves from 1990 until 2011 (21 years) and it finally paid off!
  2. Great game and great music! Hope to be able to afford this one too! +1 for both of you!
  3. This looks awesome...keep up the great work! I had seen these vids on Youtube and wondered who was coding this...guess I missed this post when it was new. I will definitely purchase a copy and I'm glad you are going to keep original sounds!!! +1 for you! Hows progress coming by the way?
  4. Great work on this game! I'm not a programmer so maybe I shouldn't have any suggestions...but about the background scenery...I was thinkin that a few less cars, trees, people, etc. may accentuate the graphical background items that you made. You know, kinda like less is more, type thing. I don't mean to knock any of it though...great work!
  5. I am just curious to ask J-F if the Skiing game is being worked on by himself or someone else? Or is it just a project for a few years down the road? Also J-F, didn't you have Bagman on your works in progress list or did I get that mixed up w/ something else? It's not there anymore.
  6. That's what I was thinkin. Something tells me that even if BSR were to offer something reasonable like $1,000-$2,000(considering who we are and how many of us there are), they would still say no and try to jack up the price knowing that then they're going to get nothing. It's not like they can only grant licenses a limited number of times. I seriously doubt that by allowing us this, they would water down the global demand for He-Man products. Ahhh.....Corporate America.......
  7. Also...where in AZ do you live Algus? And what are the first 3 digits of your zip code? I have an idea for you that I think you will like.
  8. I'm starting to get all hot and bothered now! WOO-HOO!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!
  9. I would get them in this order : Defender Centipede Jungle Hunt Dig Dug Atarimax Ultimate SD or Atarimax 128-1 USB for Colecovision (w/ this you can play Atarisoft Pac-Man, Moon/Matt Patrol, Joust without sound & with unlimited lives) Did I leave any out besides Galaxian?
  10. Guess mine would be Telly Turtle CIB, yellow CIB Rolloverture, CIB Tutankam, CIB Gateway to Apshai, Dragonfire cart, Mountain King cart, Mr. Do's Castle cart, Montezuma's Revenge cart, & silver Quintana Roo cart. I know none of these are really rare...but which 1 or 2 do you guys think is worth the most? Or the "rarest"?
  11. Just ordered my Coleco Ultimate SD...I'm so excited. Thanks for the help and Thanks for all of these awesome products for keeping classic gaming alive!

  12. I have Smurf Challenge, Kobashi, & Puzzli on the way to me soon + a Turbo box & a Spectar box..can't wait..thanx J-F!

  13. Have you ever had problems with your joysticks playing certain games while they were hooked up through your roller controller? Like Defender for example...it works normally if the joysticks are hooked directly into the Coleco...but if the Roller is hooked up and then the joysticks into the roller, my smartbombs will be used up at the beginning even if i'm only firing my laser (using left Joystick button only). I've tried switching the Joystick-Roller switch and it doesn't solve the problem. I've even tried 2 different Defender carts..not that the cart would be the problem. Just thought somone may have heard of this.
  14. Love that Pause button! Now I can actually play games like Rolloverture without dying in the first minute. I can flip the switch while still being able to see the screen....and strategize like a cheater! Just something for all of you to consider.
  15. I got a Heavy Sixer on ebay for $25..... and it works fine and doesn't look bad either!

  16. Judging from the poll results so far...it looks like none of us have many friends besides the Colecovision.
  17. I think very highly of the programmers & publishers in the CV Homebrew Scene! The highest quality of work and ultimate dedication to what they love!!! Can I say thank you again!?! As far as what would be nice to see...more original games sounds good, but a few thing I've always wished for: arcade like version of Cosmic Avenger for CV...if thats possible arcade like version of Exidy's Venture for CV..if thats possible an arcade like version of Exidy's Circus for CV (the only thing is there are no regular paddles for CV..wld have to wk w/ Driving Controller, joystick, or possibly roller??) Rip Cord a CV Pinball game a re-release of Kevtris Bag Man Mr. Do's Wild Ride Some of the games mentioned above seem like they would be cool as well. Like Amazing Maze or Zookeeper or Tempest. Thanks for listening!
  18. I recently got one on ebay without the sticker....however...this was melted into the bottom: CP 173664046 Was this the serial #? Can anyone tell me from this if it was made in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Sunnyvale, etc...or anything else about it? It has the channel select switch (A & B) Atari version NTSC...I assume b/c it works on my American TV (I know Coleco's had regions...but PAL would work on NTSC TV). Not sure about speaker slits...are you guys talking about the ones on top that form the 2 circles? No mods...works great....and even though it's missing the sticker....it looks as if it just came off the assembly line! All paint is bright & perfect and looks like it was never used or taken out of a box! I was wondering if it had been worked on in any way....but seller would barely respond and didn't give me much info.
  19. I have my Colecovisions back and fixed...and playing rite now...thank you Yurkie!

  20. Just got my two Colecovisions back on Monday. They look cool and they now work better than they ever did before! I had two units that were both broken. He repaired everything and they both work great now. With what was broken on my units, the repairs part was really inexpensive. (Like between $15-$30 in my case.) I had been worried that I would send these units off and the repairs part would be really expensive, but Yurkie took care of everything and I didn't have to worry about it. I got pretty much the whole package of mods/reconditioning. Everything works and looks great. The picture looks really good on the TV and the controllers work better than they ever did before. Also, the installation of the pause switch, the A/V mod, and the ball knob on the controllers looks like the Coleco console was originally made that way...very professional looking. I got the following: 2 systems repaired A/V Mod on both Video Memory Upgrade on both Pause Button and BIOS Skip on 1 unit Ball Knobs for controllers on 1 unit the plastic piece cut off of the Expansion Port door on both (the little thing that used to make the door hard to open & close) I opted not to get the coily cords straightened...instead I bought an RCA extension cord for the units He also includes the special cord with RCA on one end and the headphone type connector on the other end Also the Power switch was rebuilt and controllers reconditioned. I'm probably leaving out a couple details....but the point is: YURKIE DOES AWESOME WORK! I highly recommend his services to everyone who has a Colecovision! A++
  21. ME TOO!! This is probably one of my top 3 wished for Coleco Carts of all time!!!
  22. I voted for Tunnels & Trolls...but Rip Cord and Tac Scan would be great too...and I think I may like Skiing as well.
  23. I hope to have my 2 Colecos fixed soon...yay! I can finally play games again.

  24. Regarding just this part... if I understand correctly... just open the image (of 4 or 5 overlays), crop it to just one, and save as a new file. Repeat for each one until you have 9 separate images (one for each overlay). Then just print at 100% (assuming these are 100% of actual size). I can't tell you how to crop, as I don't know what software you're using, and I only use either Photoshop or Lightroom, so I wouldn't know how with any other software anyway, especially if it's Windows. I'm sure your manual or a help file could tell you how to though. Hey I really appreciate the help. I tried cropping to one, and save as a new file but when I did, it still saves all 5 overlays as 1 file. When I right click a single image, it doesn't give me the option to save as. Also, I downloaded photoshop and I couln't upload these overlays files. My guess is photoshop doesn't support .png format. I tried googling .png file extension to see what programs you could upload files to and all the programs I saw, you have to buy. I'd prefer to just find a program I can download to my computer and then upload the photo so I can edit. If I missed anything, please let me know. Thanks again for your help.
