It wasn't like this when I was a kid, and that isn't just rose-colored nostalgia talking. I remember energetically speculating with friends about "Return of the Jedi" and how it would end, so we were definitely enthusiastic about the movies, but today's "fan culture" is more like a cult or a religion. I don't remember seeing grown men with giant beards, dressed in goofy costumes, crying like children at movie trailers.

Somehow I've so far avoided all spoilers...Hope my luck holds out haha...I'll see it when I feel better. I like all the comments above^
