Can i be your second favorite in California?  🧔🏻

But @Tommy Tallarico is in Cali.... down near you... and I am in Cali... NorCal.

You may have to become #3

Although Tommy is clean shaven so maybe you can be.

    haha

*btw, one of our customers today was from El Segundo.  Had a nice chat with him about Fly Fishing.  ;-)

** Fly Fisherman are chatterboxes btw... and never lie.  I kid you not.

It's not as good as yours. I can tell you that.

I am looking VERY much AmicoSanta right now.

Normally when spring hits I get a beezer and do that several times all spring summer so I look quite suave.  LOL.

Since we can't go to any barbers right now... I am Santa all over again and I thought I just finished all my winter Santa work.

    Guess not.

  3. Just wanted to say, GREAT job @OEB_Pete interviewing @Tommy Tallarico...  Just finished the long interview and to date, my favorite of what you have done. Well planned out and executed.

So today you are still my favorite Canadian.  ;-)

Maybe one day when this world is not as kookoo and at some Gaming Show where Intellivision has a big booth, you and I can converge on it and meet...

Maybe we can tackle Tommy and get some more "worlds firsts" from him... and if he refrains... maybe a noogie or two will help him tell us more.  No wedgies though... that would be too juvenile.  😝

    haha

    Be well and great video!

Yer really 63 and still give a shit about this stuff? My interest wanes by the year and I'm "only" 48.

On a serious nut... perhaps in the futures, Amico should come with a little blue pill with every purchase. Can see the tag line professing long controller battery life now: Amico... stays up for as long as you do.   🤣

my interested and enthusiasm seems to be growing as I get older and I am about to be 54.

Enthusiasm to wrench on my old VWs is now going away and I grow tired of busting knuckles I guess.

So playing video games and tinkering with old computers is really getting me excited again.

I do think one area where IE may not be able to compete with mobile for children is some of these iPad touch screen games where kids can touch the screen object with their fingers. I know they will have the controller touch screen and motion control and what not, but it’s a lot less interactive/immersive experience, IMHO. Things like the TV boxes are even worse and less interactive and immersive than the Amico, unless you dump it on an 14” touchscreen monitor they can lay on the floor and muck around with.

That is where Amico II, Amico Part Deux, Amico 2, Amico TT, Amico 5-3.... haha comes in.

Maybe a larger controller option for the kiddies... size of a iPad Mini... just for kids or people with fat fingers.

Show them what's up, and not just say oh you're just a hater.

Yeh I am not in the hater or not crowd... but from what I see... @Tommy Tallarico has explained what the goals of the Intellivision Amico are... and yet people keep glossing over that and keep pushing that they don't like it or whatever.  Intellivision is not not going to change from their main goal... these folks should see that by now.

Now if maybe if these folks start referencing that here are the goals of Intellivision and why they feel Amico is not living up to those goals, then that makes more sense to me.  They don't like it, it happens... but to keep ripping on it knowing the goals of the company does not make sense to me.  At that point it seems to become a haters gonna hate because they are not taking into any consideration the goal of the product in question.

Amico has these goals... if you feel what we are putting out still does not meet those goals, then tell them why... Maybe Intellivision can then work on improving.

Competing against Xbox, Nintendo, Sony, etc... is not what IE is going for.

No that's not all that I saw, I'm fully aware of the "haters" which is a way over used term these days used to discredit someone's opinion and why is everything Justin Bieber all of a sudden? everything has "haters", but no I saw comments from people who are seeing this for the first time. And read an article. Not everyone is pat and Ian and let's not pretend like everyone is. you mentioned Amico fans but yes they already have those people they need to bring more people in and keep in mind I'm not against the Amico, and actually don't like when they give fuel to the "haters" I want something to be shown that will blow us all away. They say they have something and I want to see what it is lol.

For me Intellivision has already shown some games that IMHO are super... and sure there will be some that no one likes, not for them, it happens.. but there will be some they do.

For me... Night Stalker so far looks outrageously awesome... Moon Patrol looks super.  Astrosmash looks like lots of fun.  D&D oh wow!!

The Amico supposed to ship with 5 to 6 games and right now out of the 22 they have shown, there are some super titles, in my opinion.

To keep this family oriented they will have some of these smaller titles or less complicated games for everyone to play... Cornhole as example for me will be one I just pick up when I want 15 minutes of play and then off I go to work or whatever... then when I have hour to spare, D&D etc...

I think they are showing all games being worked on, some big, some not so much... and will be a selection for all.

That is the way I take it.

Crazy how expensive a 100% complete version is these days.  A while back I re purchased all the games from my childhood.  This one and GreenGhost cost a few bucks

Yeh, crazy what some stuff is.  I still own 2 Super Toes... think one was broken or sucked at kicking... haha.  But been decades.  I hope I still have them hidden in the cupboard.  tj

Well TJ, I guess every red blooded boy coming of age had that cutie pie next door.  Mine was SueAnn.  Hadn't seen her in almost 50 years. When I did see her, I thought "YIKES!" . Then I looked in the mirror and thought, "Now I understand."  Back on subject, I'm sure Tommy will chime in today on what we can expect from board games on  Amico.  The controllers seem to have been designed with these games in mind.

    Yeh, mirrors DO NOT LIE!

    haha.

My neighbor was Treesie.  oh and Kim... oh oh and Leah.  hahaha

Yeh I am to grips what I look like.. and since I am normally bearded for my other job (Santa and Fly Fisher Customer Service Dude) I look older.

So when I see folks from my past, I don't judge as I look like a Haystack Calhoun now. (Google that if it does not make sense)

Then again the ladies in their 60s and 70s think I am OK looking so all is good.  hahahaha

  10. Another fun game that I played as a kid... well I played it because my nextdoor neighbor was a cutie pie... was Which Witch.

Like Mousetrap you have dice to roll and marbles, well in this case a steel ball you drop down the chimney and if that ball takes the route to the room you are in, boom! in gets you.

So many fun ways board games can be used with an Amico controller to roll dice... drop balls down chimney, etc...
