On the final board there will be a chip socket as far as I know.
-
Not sure yet, it might fit into a standard cartridge shell anyway. The top part has to be open as there you have to connect the bunrner device. Will have a look at this when I will have more time, I did do something similar with the Videopac/Odyssey2 version.

Per slot you can have different types of ROM files. As said in the video all the info is in the description text, also including a link to Juan´s price list: http://www.vectrex.hackermesh.org/index.php/en/mvbd-mvmc-3/faq

Here I show you the pre-release version of the new upcoming Mateos Rewritable Multigame Cartridge for the Atari 7800 gaming console:

Finally got an Astrocade shipped to Europe and just found out that my TV is only partly NTSC compatible, which means I get a picture, but no sound via the RF signal. Anyway, so I would be interested in a S-video mod, on the page from the console5.com link it says "Out of Stock" . Is there still a way to get such a S-Video mod? Thanks in advance.

Philips ES 2201 Video Game 1975
vectrexroli replied to vectrexroli's topic in Classic Console Discussion
In part 2 we will now have a look at the games: -
H Meddler, today is Saturday and not Sunday, at least here in my country, but it is also raining. I made a TI-99/4A beginners guide video and don´t know if there is anything helpful for you in there, as it really depends on how much you already know about that machine:
-
225 USD? Wow! Quite expensive compared to the HxC. Can it do anything more or better?
-
Let´s have a look at the very interesting Pong game console ES 2201 from Philips. This came out in several European countries in 1975, the system had even game cartridges and the controllers plugged into those cartridges and not the main unit!
-
There is one (or several?) sub brands that are cheaper and if you order it is always sent out by IEC in the end. They sent my cables to Australia instead of Austria, but fixed that quite fast when I told them.
-
Yes for sure, but it still might take many months until I will find a working Astrocade.
-
Just ordered the multicart, even I don´t own an Astrocade yet. But I know how it is as I have seen that with the Channel-F / Saba Videoplay, you get the system and then the Multicart is not available. So I hope to find an Astrocade soon.

Is there an option in the forum to follow a thread, but only getting an e-mail if the creator of the thread posts a new message? Would be really nice not to delete 500 "I am also interested" messages each morning.

I have a quick question for the TI99Dir experts here, I have version 6.2a of this great tool installed on my PC and I would like to know if there is any trick to directly read from or write to TI formatted 3,5" disks in an external USB floppy drive connected to the PC? Similar as you would handle a CF7+ CF card with TI99Dir?

Hi dabone, I don´t know how much experience you already have with a TI-99/4A, but just in case this video might be helpful for you:

PC to TI transfers with stock RS232/nanopeb and HDX server
vectrexroli replied to arcadeshopper's topic in TI-99/4A Computers
Thanks for that excellent guide, had some time and got it working both on my Windows XP and Windows 10 laptops and also with both of my USB to serial adapters. Will do some more experiments next week when I will back home again. What is now the advantage of the additional hardware mod of the RS 232 card? I guess I could use then HDX as a device like DSK in Extended Basic, correct? So I would be able to load a program with e.g. OLD HDX1.PROGRAM . Or is there even a way to do that without the hardware modificiation? -
Another Poll - How many TI-99/4A consoles do you own?
vectrexroli replied to Omega-TI's topic in TI-99/4A Computers
Wow, if you have pictures of your museum that would help me a lot, I could show it to my wife and convince her how lucky she is, as I have only 4 consoles. -
Another Poll - How many TI-99/4A consoles do you own?
vectrexroli replied to Omega-TI's topic in TI-99/4A Computers
Sure we all could theoretically, but you know it is always good to get a backup in case something gets broken. But what if that backup does not work anymore? So better have a backup for the backup, and so on... I guess there is a whole health industry earning money with mental guys like us. -
About the 80 Track Update for the TI FDC
vectrexroli replied to Omega-TI's topic in TI-99/4A Computers
Thanks, HDX might be the next step, but first I want to get the disk drives running and I got everything so far, only waiting for those damn Molex power cables. -
About the 80 Track Update for the TI FDC
vectrexroli replied to Omega-TI's topic in TI-99/4A Computers
Thanks, that´s what I thought, so if I understood it correctly the best option would always be to order the upgrade ROM configuration for 80, 80, 80 track for all 3 drives then, if you still could use also your old drive. -
Here I show you 3 homebrew games for the Vectrex: V-Frogger, Brecher and a preview for the upcoming game Vector Patrol.
