First and foremost I want to thank all of you who are part of this thread and the other one! Each and every one of you have said such nice things regarding the dustcovers I make! I am so humbled by the comments and know I am doing a good thing! To clear up one of the issues with my dustcovers, is the one regarding 'cut-outs' for power cords, etc. I have done some covers with the cut-outs and they just become too sloppy and totally loose their shape. Anytime you section a straight line, it can only weaken its integrity. Therefore, after trying to do this, I have decided not to do the cut-outs! When you receive my dustcovers, they will fit snuggly, but with time and use, they seem to fit nicer and nicer. The whole idea behind doing these dustcovers, was to help protect the consoles from dust and mishaps that we all know can happen. I completely understand the value and meaning of the older video game systems to all of you, (I am also married to one!), so if my dustcovers will please the majority that is OK by me! So many people have wanted me to make other dustcovers, but I also have learned that I really need to have the physical console in order to make a good fitting dustcover. I just received a 'junk' Atari 800XL and will be working on making that dustcover in the coming week. If anyone has or can lead me to some 'junk' consoles, I would be very pleased! I have also been asked to list my dustcovers here on AtariAge, I have and it didn't work out very well! Sorry! So take a look in our store on eBay or for the dustcovers I have up for auction. I know many of you do not like the idea of bidding and waiting 7 days, but again, I have found this to work out much better for oldjd and I. You should list this in the WANTED section of the marketplace, as you will likely get more traffic and visibility to suit your specific needs in there. Thank you, I will do that right now!

I agree with what you have said, but to do a cover with just someone supplying the dimensions doesn't work well, have already tried it! Thanks!

Hi Walter, I do have a dustcover for the Atari 7800, it is in either black or brown pleather with white thread for the embroidery. It can either just have the Fuji and Atari or both of those with 7800 also. Let me know what you are wanting and I will try to make it happen! Thanks! Barb

Maybe a Clear Leather Dust Cover could be provided... that way your CV is "protected" in case you get a little excited looking at it! You mean one that allowed insertion of a cartridge but still prevented metal-to-metal contact? Amen! Man, have we hijacked this thread, or what, with these impure thoughts. Time to return to our regularly scheduled program and get our heads out of the gutter! LMAO!!! You all are too funny! But seriously now.....a clear cover is something I am afraid wouldn't do well with embroidery, but what do I know! I will look when I am searching out different materials, never can tell what I will find!

Was wanting to let you all know that I am looking for PS2, PS3, Xbox and Xbox 360 consoles! As you know, I enjoy making covers for the gaming consoles. Neither Jerry or I have been able to get our hands on these, yet! Good Evening all! The Vectrex cover is finished and I am attaching pictures. As you can probably tell from how long ago Jerry started to post regarding this project, a lot of work and effort has gone into making this cover the best possible. I can't even begin to thank Chris aka 'Vectrexer' for all of his input and suggestions, not to mention the loan of one of his machines. Based on the feedback from Chris and other respected gamers, the cover is finished and ready for sale! I will be putting covers in our eBay store at a price of $28.50 each plus shipping. Mr. Bushnell, welcome to AtariAge! I just signed up this evening, too! I wanted to know how I could go about getting permission to use the Atari logo on my homemade covers? I have made the patterns, embroider the name and sew the cover out of a pleather material. Helps to save those consoles from all the disasters they might come in to! I really think it would be neat to have the official logo, if at all possible. Thank you!

Welcome Mr. Bushnell! I am also new to AtariAge's site! Since you visit and are taking questions, I thought I would take a chance here to ask you about using the Atari logo. I make 'homebrew' console covers for many different systems. I would really like to be able to use the Atari logo on my covers, how could I get permission to do so? Thank you!
