  1. Yeah,i did see on farnell that it was out of stock and had to be imported and guessed thats why the postage was so steep. If RS online is vouched for then i will probably go with them as they are the only one i have found in the UK with stock. On a side note can anybody tell me if i should buy a few other things such as LM78L05ACM part while im ordering in case that has fried too.I cant see any other damage other than the MC34163DW semiconductor which you can see is visibly burnt out.Just thought i would ask and see if anyone who has fixed a jag before recommends buying some other parts too just in case.

    thanks.

  2. Hi,new member here, just got a Jag yesterday to add to my always growing collection of retro and modern gaming and like many others have had problems getting it to work, thought i would open it up and have a look for any obvious damage inside and unfortunately i found the MC34163DW semiconductor has been fried so have been on the search to find the new part.

Trouble is i live in the UK and if anyone has done a search for these things you will know they hard to get and most of them are stocked in USA and delivery is something like £13!I found one place in the UK called RS Online, delivery is around £6 which is a lot better and wondered if anyone has had dealings with this place before or can vouch for them as a trusted place to order from or indeed know of a better place to get them in the UK?

Thanks for any help or comments given.
