I lost the working ROM of Mail Plane in a HD crash

It was a fully working game.
I can't remember who sent it me.

Would you be selling this still (un-cased or cased)?I'm out at the moment. I will build more when I've finished making a batch of Virtual Boy carts.

It'll be battery-backed SRAM in the SNES. The only worry there is the battery going flat, not the memory wearing out.
-
Multicarts are overrated in my opinion. Why do you say that ?
There's a lot of homebrew not available in cart form.
-
I am looking for a VecFlash, BTW. I know they are incredibly hard to find, but does anyone know where one might be available?I have one for sale
-
Yes, I still make the carts.
If you want one building into an original cart case you will have to send me a donor. Right now I'm 3D printing the cases as I have a surplus of the connectors.

I'd like to see the case label please.
BTW did Nathan design the new label too ?
Thanks

One of the things I liked and was a bit surprised about was the volume level..It can output about 0.5W
so I "should" be able to test it with Spike Goes DownIIRC there's no speech in that game (just Y.A.S.I)
BTW what's the new case label look like ? (I've not seen it)
-
I really like your use of speech in the game

7800: The unit plugs in to the second controller port and requires an extension cable.I've never tried it on the 7800. What's stopping it fitting, is it the 2 tabs that wrap around the plug on the AVox ?
FYI the plastic tabs can be removed without affecting the plug (I think Nathan had to do it to his AVox).

There's no way to load different games in this cart, correct? You would have to re-program the EPROM.
-
This is the circuit for the USB to AtariVox interface.
The chip also needs programming. This is done through the USB once the circuit is built. You will need to download a programming utility from the FTDI site. I will send you my .ept file (won't let me attach it here).

Each mode functions exactly like the original devices.

Are the dip switches to switch between Vectrex and Atari modes exposed on the cased units? No, but it shouldn't be too hard to cut a hole through the plastic case

That could be freakking dangerous to your console! So could inserting a cart the wrong way. Folk aren't stupid.
90% will be using it fixed in AtariVox mode permanently anyway.
-
But what if I accidentally plug it into one system or the other while it was set for the other system. No damage, just won't work (as a different baud rate / phoneme will be selected).
Almost as if you were begging me to post this:
-
Who I feel I let down the most is Richard.Don't worry about it, I'm just really glad it's coming back.
The dip switches MUST be set properly in one mode or the other or you risk frying your boardThat's something I did overlook. Just make sure DIP's 1 and 2 are never both selected on. Otherwise, you'll be 'crossing the streams' (GND / VCC short).
BTW Glenn, did you get a load of the PacTec cases as well ?
-
At least 1 million erase / programming cycles.
If you look at the solder side of the PCB in the Vectrex, you will see new, shiny solder where any caps have been replaced.
