  1. I can send you a new EEPROM. Or, I can do it for you if you send me your AVox. BTW the EEPROM should be a 24LC256.
  2. Just scrape off the solder mask (green coating) at each end of the broken tracks and solder a wire across. I'm not saying it will definitely fix it (as the CRT may be cracked), but it's worth a try.
  3. That's in beautiful condition. All the others I've seen have had lots of stains on them. I think you'll get the $200.
  4. If you want a new shell, ask John Dondzila. He supplies the repro Vectrex cases from Sean Kelly.
  5. Sounds OK. Shame Nathan's label won't be able to be used anymore. We could do a post for other name suggestions. Perhaps the case sticker could incorporate the DIP settings too.
  6. What about Virtual Boy ? I heard some guy makes a flashcart for it
  7. FYI the 'EXT' port was for a link cable to connect consoles together for 2 player gaming. It was not for an external PSU. That was done through this item.
  8. You couldn't send me something made on it could you ? I need to do a comparison with the UP! printer (which does really excellent quality BTW). The ultimate goal is to make cases for my Virtual Boy flashcarts (so I don't have to rely on donors). Thanks
  9. 28 pin DIP, no problem with tweezers and a hot air gun. They'll come out really clean. Also a breeze to solder back in.
  10. I sent all I had to Glenn Saunders ages ago (what a waste of time that was). He may sell you one.
  11. I got hold of a bearing made on the UP! printer. The quality is very good, only very fine lines where the layers intersect. I'm sure it could do a good cart case. This printer seems to do much better quality than the MakerBot. It blows my mind that the balls are printed INSIDE the 2 rings, and move freely too !
  12. Not good This looks like magic to me - What's happening there ?

    3D printers

Anyone have experience using any of the self-built / lower cost 3D printers ?. Unit's like MakerBot and UP! etc ? Just wondering if they're good enough to make carts cases and other custom enclosures for PCB's. Thanks
  14. Can you open up the carts and take some pics of the PCB ? I know a guy AAMOI what other Vectrex stuff did you get from him ?
  15. Chris, I probably forgot to mention, you need to use your cart with this version of the loader. Also, trying to load the cart while it is still in the VB (powered or un-powered) is a big no no.
  16. I'll get your socket sent in the morning. The weak point with these are the length of the tabs (which fit matching holes on the PCB). They're designed to stop what happened to yours, but they do a pretty poor job. I recommend hot glue along the bottom edge of the socket as a double precaution.
  17. I have all the sockets Chad had left (they are an obsolete part now). He sent them to me a while back as I was doing Cuttle cart repairs on a regular basis. PM me your address and I'll get one sent to you. BTW it's an easy solder job.
  18. Why do people pay that when they can buy mine for nearly half that amount (and have every Vec game now and forever on it).
  19. It's one of a few I made for some folks in the Virtual Boy community. The original source code was re-compiled correctly and the game is 100% perfect / complete now. I was just wondering what price would be achieved if any of them showed up on EBay.
  20. Can you make Virtual Boy cart labels ?
