  1. Nathan, thanks for tacking this onto your (very long) to-do list. I look forward very much to seeing the end results Richard H.

    PCB's

The manufacturer takes care of that checking (PCBPool does)

    PCB's

Nice one Bruce That's exactly what I need, and cleaner than importing a bitmap with the import-bmp.ulp They'll also come in handy for other stuff (like the MemCards) I use one of the freeware gerber viewers just to check the text positioning. I usually do text in metal (top layer) to save money, but I think these boards will be better with component placings (along with the logos).

    PCB's

Could someone please convert this to a .bmp and Email it to me - http://www.atariage.com/temp/images/AtariAgeLogos.psd I need to put the AA logo onto the board, but don't have the graphic software to convert from PhotoShop format. Thanks...

    PCB's

Thanks guys ! I'll go get a load of quotes (although, Myro does sound pretty good 'n' cheap) Just got the Myro quote - $119.00 There's shipping to add, but it is a very good price. Think I'll have a couple done first to check out the quality, see how they compare to PCBPool.

    PCB's

Roughly 2.5 x 1.5 inches I do usually go to PCBPool, but they're a bit expensive + I'm trying to get them made in the US as it's straightforward getting them to Albert (as the components and enclosures will be sourced there too). That sounds more like it The time issue isn't really a problem, it's the overall cost. The price of the AtariVox is pretty much dictated by the SpeakJet chip, which is quite expensive (especially in the UK). If we can get the cost of the boards, components and enclosures down, then the AVox can be offered at a good price, which means hopefully more people will buy them.

    PCB's

Hi, I'm currently trying to get the best price for 100 (or more) AtariVox PCB's. Here in the UK, it looks like it's going to cost about £200 ($372). The board is 56mm x 35mm, double sided with 77 holes + 3 drill sizes Do any of you hardware guys know how much cheaper it would be to have them made in the US ? Thanks... Richard H.
  8. Hi, if you haven't received it by this Friday (21st), I'll ship another one out to you. Somethings wrong because it usually takes no more than a week from here (UK)
  9. It's a OTP (One Time Programmable) EPROM, which means it can only be written to once and cannot be erased. It's a cheaper version of a normal 'windowed' EPROM.
  10. Here's some pics of the USB interface, I fitted it into a 'stelladapter case' (cream coloured version). It's all powered by the USB port via an A - B cable.

    Vectrex LOGO

This is an all new concept, an actual graphic programming language for the Vec - http://vectorzoa.com/gi_logo.html
  12. I have more now, (see the bottom of my page for details).
  13. FYI I've redesigned the AtariVox computer interface, it's now USB PnP and is fully powered by the PC. It allows the user to play around with speech and sounds. Hopefully, I'll be offering these free to developers.
  14. Anyone got the data sheet for this pinball chip ? Thanks...
  15. Alex Herbert was thinking about doing it (probably after he'd finished Sinistar)
  16. Curt, did you find anyone to take over manufacturing them ?
  17. I have 4 ready now if anyone wants one (the rest will be in a couple of weeks). PM me.
  18. Had a few PCB's made of a VecFlash power board. Basically, you slot the VF into it and then hook up a 6v-12v DC PSU (and the serial lead) and then you can program it without console. I might start making them if enough VF owners find such a thing useful.
  19. Not perhaps an elegant solution, but the EEPROM is socketted on rev1 AVox's. So it would be just a case swapping it out for another chip. (BTW it'll take the larger 64K if that's ever required).
  20. Good idea, I'll ask him. In the meantime, if any one wants one go here
