Is that how this is normally done?Yes.
John Donzila was the first to use it (Gravitrex, Vectopia and Vecmania)
AFAIK the only other 64K game is Kristof's Vector Pilot.
Anyone have any sample program that uses this?John or Kristof would be the one's to ask.

What is the standard bankswitching protocol?64K - which is just a case of connecting Vectrex Pin 35 to A15 on the flash chip.

Yes, that's the plan. I have a local company lined up to make the mold and then the shells.About time. S.Kelly has had the monopoly on Vec cases for way too long.
AAMOI I like what you've done with the PCB - i.e. that it fits straight into the programmer via an edge connector. That's neat.

Very nice

BTW are you having the shells moulded yourself ?
-
So, even if there were original-looking shells available you'd still want to use the 3D-printed shell?Yes. Original shells are not suitable for this cart. Un-screwing the case everytime you want to add games becomes tedious

- looks a lot better than the emergency solution of a 3D print...It's not an 'emergency solution'. It took me quite some time to design, and it also fits the PCB better (smaller / access to the SD card). I think it looks nice too !

I just ordered a 3D printerCool, which one are you getting ?
I love mine. It's the most useful thing I've ever bought.

I love it

Will you be selling the case onlyProbably. Although, you'd be looking at least $10 each, as it costs nearly $6 (£3.50) just in shipping to the US.
I'll be releasing the .stl file soon if anyone state side wants to churn a few out.

why does your site say "sold out" already?Just ignore my page. I've been having trouble with my internet provider and have been unable to edit / update my page for months.
I shall be building more VecMulti's (with cases) next month.

It'd be great with some VecVox speech in it.

No, because you need to both power the AVox and invert the CTS signal coming from it. There's no power in a standard serial port.

How would one solder it? The board looks surface-mount. What would it be soldered to?
The underside of the board has a 6 pin header socket. You'll need 4 connections here (5V, GND, TX and CTS)
You could either just insert wire into the sockets or solder directly onto the pads. Soldering onto the pads and the DB9 socket (for the AVox) is easy soldering. Really can't go wrong.
Also, is that USB plug positioned properly? I guess it would need some kind of USB extension to be plugged into anything, right?
No, you'll just need this sort of USB cable.
And those settings you mentioned--that will somehow allow Stella to detect that there is an AtariVox plugged in and output to it for voice emulation?
Those are the settings you need to program (using this software) into the FTDI chip (using the above cable) so it will work with the AVox. Then, you can tell Stella it's on the second joystick port, and which serial port (usually comport5).

Using this is easy. Just solder to a DB9 socket.
Then program the chip with a USB cable, using these settings (see pic)

There's none up at the moment. They may have sold out (I know they only had a few left).

I am afraid we cannot supply shells to flash cart/multicart builders.Don't care, I'll be making my own soon.
And anyway, my VecMulti is the best value for money / advanced cart.

Although that PCB has mounting holes for the Intelly cart, it should still be possible to hot glue any Vectrex PCB in there.
My eventual plan is to 3D print a custom VecMulti enclosure. One with a hole for easy SD card access.

I have VecMulti boards right now.
$80 USD shipped (SD card included)
