Purchased a Sega Nomad: arrived very quickly and was packaged well. Great communication and a pleasure to deal with! Thanks again!

How many backup consoles do you keep?
csgx1 replied to SlowCoder's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I keep 1 back up for each system. Except the Turbo Grafx/PC Engine, I have multiple CD systems and spare parts since I've had many break down. -
Gameboy and Color also game gear parts availbility
csgx1 replied to thegamezmaster's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Parts probably cost more than buying a used good replacement unit. My guess would be that the original battery pack only works on the original GB and not GBC based on the number of batteries each takes.....Original GB takes 4 AA and the GBC takes 2 AA. Don't know for sure so I could be wrong. Good luck. -
NEC TurboGraFX-16 / CD drive not working!
csgx1 replied to 82-T/A's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Most likely stuck gears that others have already mentioned. If stripped, there are no replacements. Could also be the drive motor too but that is more uncommon to go out. I had a few CD player units with the gears stuck. Easy to get to and lube up. The laser went bad soon after on one. Not meant to last. -
Same here. I've been trying to communicate through PMs to people and they probably think I'm avoiding them since I always can't quickly reply. Too many users maybe?

The Official "Thrift finds" Thread
csgx1 replied to Happy_Dude's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Great find! I've been wanting that game. Pretty dry for the last few months for me too at the local thrift store. Only thing I picked up was a loose, beat up copy of Kid Icarus NES for $1.99. -
Wow, now that's a story that make me want to cry for you. That would be a hard one to swallow. Live and learn.

F/S: Metroid Zero Mission and F-Zero: Maximum Velocity BOXED

PM sent for Metroid -
Very nice. Now hurry up and complete that Lynx collection.

Wow! Amazing collection!

One of my all time personal favorite games to play out of all systems. Good variety, great music, colorful graphics, and endless replay value! I've played the BMX hundreds of times.

My guess is that the contacts are still not fully connected to the carts somehow. Maybe try shifting the cart slightly outwards when inserted? Might be a long shot, but also try loosening/tightening the 2 case screws near the cart slot. I had a lynx that didn't power on until I loosened the 2 screws....not exactly sure why, but it has something to do with pressure on the cart, cart slot and contacts. The original lynx systems are quite finicky. Good luck.

None of the local arcades ever had Renegade in my area. Renegade for the NES was also one of my favorite games. Which is why I am a huge Kunio-kun fan as well as a huge beat-em up fan. Renegade on the Sega Master was quite good.

Probably not "legendary" consoles but I never liked the 3DO, Jaguar, and Gamecube. I own all three consoles but never really play them much. Maybe because I don't really have any good/interesting game for these systems.

Nice collection and cool web page too.

Nice, cozy and organized. I wish I had room for a designated game room. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, great haul!

Same here, until you change the pin connector. The Sega Nomad...Mine is very finicky where any bump or shake will cause the game to freeze.
