I'll give it a shot as soon as I've returned from my trip. EDIT: I'm Back! The Original The Mock-Up In the Mock-up, Samus and the Ball like Shot are from the original NES version because... well... it's a mock-up. What did you expect?!

Hey, I'm out of the country atm spending time with my girlfriend. That's why I haven't been adding anything new. I will be back in about 3 days time to continue my sprite making. Thanks for keeping the thread alive. Your friend, PMR

You're welcome. I've got some more Metroid sprites done, and I should be posting them later on today. I'm trying to do them in larger batches so that the thread doesn't get too long lol... ya it's a bit late for that, but I'm gonna try. Can't wait to see the Metroid sprites. I may download VBB and see what I can create. It might be fun. PS -- The av not animating was because of the size. You were right. Made the animation 120x120 and it worked. Thanks! -B Sweet! I'm glad it worked out.

Well for Sprites and Character sets, I'm new to the 5200 graphics scene btw as I started with the 2600, I'm trying out a program called AtariTools-800. The programming for it is still being completed, but the programmer was nice enough to give me the program as-is so I could try it out to see if it's what I wanted. There's a pop-up Ad page that happens, but if you want to check it out it's > Here. <

Hey that looks great! Although, it looks different as your avatar. I think it is because it's a GIF picture being shrunk to fit as the avatar. If it's converted to PNG it should keep it looking the same. Thanks! Actually, I saved my avatar as a GIF image of the animation, but it won't play. I noticed your av is animated. How did you get it to animate? Am I doing something incorrect? The file I uploaded as my av animates if I drag into a browser... -B I noticed that each of the frames inside of your GIF file is a different size, and the Frame Origins aren't all the same either, but I'm not sure if those are the cause of the problem. When I made my Avatar, I set it at the max size of 120 x 120 pixels to prevent the forum software from shrinking it, which I've found can also affect the animated GIFs. Hope this helps.

Thank you. I appreciate your kind words, and from everyone. I created a simple walking and jumping GIF with the sprites you created. Looks pretty cool. Hey that looks great! Thanks, PAC-MAN-RED, I was just checking out your sprites the other day. Great stuff! Thanks buddy. I've been busy on a web page for the sprites, and I'm branching off into 5200 sprites atm...but shh don't tell anyone. I may have a bit of time to practice making some animated sprites with your alien you've made. I'll post some when they're ready.

Sounds kinda neat actually. My main focus for me, however, is sprites, so I'm a bit "in the dark" when it comes to programming. Nice concept though.

Using my Hanging Skeleton as a template, I've constructed a large walking Mummy. Notice the name of the file... The Mummy Sprites!... The Mummy Strikes!.. Get it? The Mummy.. Spri.. Stri.. ah phooey! Happy Halloween! The Mummy.zip

The other Undead. I wasn't happy with how the vampire walked, so I've re-done him with a new and improved walk cycle. Vampire.zip

I'm running out of Halloween specific things to make. Speaking of running, a running cat fits in here somewhere, I'm sure of it. In the 4 animated frames, I've actually drawn the white part of the sprite, and not the black part that makes up the cat... makes sense right? It was a long day I tells ya... Cats.zip

I think those Jack O'Lanterns are going to be perfect for a little game I'm currently working on!!! Excellent! Hey, hows the rewrite for Meltdown going? Just curious.

The Sprite editor I use is in VisualbB. You can see some of the example sprites I've made in this thread here. -
