  1. Here's a small update for the free sprites, because I've been busy working on a web page for them. I will continue to make free sprites, as well I will make SOME for download either on donation or for a very small price like 25 cents or something just to help pay for any costs associated with having a web page, and as "incentive" to keep making sprites. 2. You're Welcome. The small Mario sprites are ready if you need them. They're available at the same link I posted the other day. While I was making them, they reminded me of when I was a kid and I got the Mario Bros. cart back when it came out... Good times.
  3. No problem. I'm gonna do some more SMB related sprites and fill up that link with them.
  4. I have thought about creating a web page for the sprites too. Give away my secrets!?!? Oh..alright. I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the great ideas.
  5. Just thought I'd share this. SMB Mario Sprites
  6. Slight break from all of the Halloween stuff for a freshly completed conversion of SMB - Large Mario sprites. This inspiration comes from jbs30000s' continuing challenges with his Super Mario game for the 2600. His latest efforts can be found here. Firstly, there are 2 versions of the still frame, followed by the 3 animated walking frames, jump, crouch, and the skid/turn around. Super Mario (Large).zip Still - Frame1 - Frame2 - Frame3 - Jump - Skid/Turn Around - Death(Mama Mia! I Forgot this the first time around.) Super Mario (Small).zip Editing this post to add in the Non-Multicolor Mario Sprites. Super Mario non-multicolor(Large).zip Mario Death sprite added here too. Super Mario non-multicolor(Small).zip
  7. Who wants Zombies??? I do! I d...ooo.. AAGGHH.. RUN! *screaming* Zombie02.zip And in case anyone missed it, there are more zombies and skeletons over here: Post #29
  8. Very Nice! Good animation and music too. I managed to float through the first part until the birds got me.
  9. More scary sprites for everyone to use. For the monster, I was thinking of a swamp creature of some sort.. it has tentacles instead of legs. Ghost02.zip Monster01.zip
  10. This Skeleton took me a little bit to draw, but seeing as it's 8x31, it was more challenging than the others, and also the largest usable sprite I've done so far. Anyone interested in wanting to see if I can get the Hanging Skeleton to walk? Hanging Skeleton.zip Spiders.zip
  11. What a horrible night for a curse... Oh well.. More spooky sprites. Bats.zip Spectres.zip
  12. Hey I'm glad I could help out and contribute something for everyone. Thank you very much. There will be more examples of ghosts and other ghoulish sprites before Halloween.
  13. oooOOOOWWW!! Hey kids I've got some scarey sprites for you today! heh heh heh oooOOOOWWW!! First off we start with the most frightening, bone chilling sprite of them all... a Door! oooOOOOWWW!! *Lightening crashes* heh heh heh You were scared weren't you kids?! That was for all of those Count Floyd fans out there. Anyway, rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated... besides I became a zombie instead. Sure you can stay awake forever and get more sprites done, but being cold and hungry all the time is a bit of a draw back. I manage to fuel my hunger habit by asking people for CHHAAAANNNGE.. Sprites range from 8x8 to 8x16. Doors Animated Sprites.zip Ghost01.zip Grave Stones & Graves.zip Jack_o_lantern.zip Pumpkins.zip
  14. I think you should do more videos like this one. Perhaps a small mini series. Maybe throw in an animal or two.
  15. And now the moment you've all been waiting for, drum roll please....... Ta da! The hero sprites are finished. This concludes the Gauntlet II to 2600 sprite conversion to the best of my abilities - at this time. Enjoy! Gauntlet II Elf Player.zip Gauntlet II Valkyrie Player.zip Gauntlet II Warrior Player.zip Gauntlet II Wizard Player.zip
  16. First off I'd like to say that Visual bB is a life saver... well, time saver anyway. For ease of making sprites it's been the best and only tool I use. However, I'm wanting to draw ever larger sprites in the double and maybe quadruple widths. My question is, While drawing a sprite, is there anyway to preview the extra wide versions of the sprite within the program itself? If not, I think this would be a great new feature to add to an already awesome program. Thank you.
  17. The final enemy is done, and I decided to go with the arcade version of the Dragon... the NES one was just too crappy. This sprite is 8x16 and is meant to be double wide to make it a 16x16 sized sprite. Gauntlet II Dragon.zip
  18. Wouldn't want to splash around in one of these Puddles on a rainy day. Gauntlet II Acid Puddle.zip
  19. Mock-up of the Gauntlet II arcade Monsters screen with the finished Atari sprites.
  20. Lobbers... man I hate these things! But it's all over now because they're done. Gauntlet II Lobber.zip
  21. Only 3 more Enemies left: Lobber, Acid Puddle, and the Dragon. Presented here, are the two Wizard like enemies.. and you guessed it. They looka-da-same. Gauntlet II Sorcerer.zip Gauntlet II Super Sorcerer.zip
  22. The conversion would be much appreciated! I agree that he seems kinda familiar, but I think it's just that non-bobbing floaty run cycles were pretty common back in the day. Given that this is "help yourself" art, it's probably a good thing that he looks generic; nobody will likely notice if he turns up in a few games. lol.. yes you have a point there. Sprite files have been created. 8x8_running_man_sprite.zip
  23. More Gauntlet II Sprites completed. Gauntlet II Demon.zip
  24. That's pretty good. I'm not sure why, but the way he moves looks familiar... almost Lode Runner-esque. I'll do up the Sprite files for ya a little later.
