I like any of the top 6 myself. However, images change when scanlines are introduced and the proper size is used.

Sounds similar to either Michael Jacksons Moon walker for the arcade or for the Sega Genesis. Although, the one for the arcade was playable... the Genesis version though... it was something else. Anyway, what genre of game were you thinking of? First person 3D? Side scrolling? Or maybe like a Zelda 1 type adventure?

I think a fried egg isn't too bad really. It did appear in Super Pac-Man, which I remember playing in the arcade as one of my favorite games as a kid.

1: Apple 2: Magnet 3: some green fruit I saw on the 360 version 4: cup of coffee 5: key 6: cherry 7: strawberry 8: cheesecake 9: bell 10: watermelon 11: raspberry 12: egg 13: light bulb I know some of these might look a bit different and some may not even be in the game, but I figured since the official game had hundreds of different items and fruits so I thought as long as all the originals are present then there could be any random things available. The green fruit is more than likely a Breadfruit. It's a tropical fruit, and doesn't exactly show up in everyone's home town. It's been used in many games though and since it's not labeled properly it's often called a melon. I did check out the game play of Pac-Man CE and man the challenge is definitely there, for anyone who wants it.

I'm having trouble identifying some of the items. Could you list off the item names? Thank you.

I took your recommendations did a few tweeks here and a shift there... I took the 4U and 4D and shifted 4U to the top edge which closer resembles the youtube videos of pacman champ. I like the bolder eyes they look more menacing rather than a bandit. So the left and right eyes would match closer, I shifted them more to the right to have that 3D look you mentioned and matched them in size to the up and down. Excellent.. Would the sprites for when the ghosts can be eaten be different from these?

My only irk is with the eyes of the ghosts. Everything else looks pretty good. Which set of ghost and what part? I would want this to please most everyone. I was semi partial to the left and right but I know the up and down could be better. I did a few options for right up and down. Did 4 sets and some are reused from other sets. Can't do alot in the limited space. I did space the location of each set of eyes farther apart so that the down are further down and the up ones are about as high as they can go. As for the left and right, I don't want to get them too close to the edge. My votes are for: 3R 3U 3D and 3R 4U 4D I like the fact that the positioning of the eyes gives them more of a 3D effect.
