  1. The Atariage forums have taught me a great level of tolerance for all things. Even my own work, despite me stating a few times, "if my work is used, just credit me." has been plagiarized. But I choose not to let small things like that get to me. There are two quotes that may or not be as accurate as they should be but, "By their fruits ye shall know them." and "The truth will out." Either the talentless will become talented, or their true colors will be seen and they will be called out.
  2. Well.. it's more on the amusing/entertaining side of things, but who doesn't like a good laugh now and then eh? Actually, with 7800Basic ,the door to help programmers to create great games has been opened. Unfortunately, I'm in the same boat. Because I don't have loads of time to devote to learning code... I steal it! I do credit the original author when possible though, and pray to be absolved of my sins. Serious programmers should be doing exactly as you have described... but try not to take atari2600lands' work to seriously... no one else does. :D
  3. Thank you You're work is in the other threads is looking very nice too.
  4. It's due to those sprites sitting on a black background. See Defender_2600's example.
  5. Cobra Boss - unfinished Not finished, but I thought I'd throw this one out there.
  6. Happy Halloween everyone! Beholder Boss (7800 view) Just an idea for a possible boss monster. This giant beholder would be stationary, with the central iris being able to move to look at the player, while the eye's on the stalks could swirl around on them and would have to be destroyed - leaving a empty eye stalk.
  7. Yes you're right. For the above Misc sprite sheet I left the sprites for the 7800 in their "expanded" state just to show what they would look like on an actual 7800.
  8. Hey! Thank you very much! I use two programs. For mobile creation on my Android cellphone, I use an app called Pixels Touch. The one I use for Windows PC is called Paint XP. However, it's not MSPaint, but a retooled version of the MSPaint in XP for use in Windows Vista and up. IF I were to create graphics for a more powerful graphic processor(SNES, Jaguar, PS, etc.) I would consider using something like Paint.NET.
  9. Thank you. And thank you for giving so much back to this community.
  10. Beholder & Evil Eye From the manual: "Vire is a devil that controls the Keeses. When Link cuts it with his sword, it turns into two Keeses. Keeses have little attacking power, but Vire is a little stronger."
