  1. It's difficult to say if it's a new technique or not, but all I can say is I had fun making it and I'm glad people enjoy it. Hmmm... a challenge... Onto more Halloween monster fun:
  2. Thank you very much! I always find places with pixel art interesting. Thanks for sharing them.
  3. I'll...uhh... get back to you on this one... Next!
  4. You mean like this? Scream guy is coming soon...
  5. Mrs. Voorhees: [high voice] Kill her, Mommy! Kill her! Don't let her get away, Mommy! Don't let her live! Mrs. Voorhees: [normal voice] I won't, Jason. I won't!
  6. Thanks dude! I was itching to do a little something different with the sprites and Autumn being one of my favorite times of the year, and Halloween having turned into a day not just for kids anymore; It's time to pull out the stops and just go for it. I should warn people now that some of the sprites you will see over the course of this month could be considered graphic in nature. So don't say I didn't warn you!
  7. Time for my Scarey Sprite Countdown to Halloween! My plan is to post a sprite a day until Halloween but I'm behind by two days so I'll post two sprites right now:
  8. The Red Guard aka Satan, and Astaroth aka the Devil are the final bosses: G&G Bosses Comparison Part2.zip As you can see I included an alternate face style for Astaroth because I couldn't decide on which one I liked better. Illya
  9. Two bosses are done, and if I knew their names I'd tell you ... Okay, after some research, I'm going with the big guys name as Unicorn (Yes that's right Unicorn... who wants another Cyclops anyway) and the best I could find for the name of the other boss is just a Dragon... how creative. 2X original size: 1X: G&G Bosses Comparison Part1.zip There's only two bosses left for Ghosts 'n Goblins, and I'm hoping to have them done very very soon. Illya
  10. http://www.atariage....ragon-7800-pal/ Yes, check out the link above. This is a very old link, but do an internet search and you will find that there are even Factory sealed copies available.
  11. These look great! And yes, the title screen would look great on a shirt. I understand that the 3-color sprites could be hacked in directly, but what's the reason for the 4-color sprites? Would they be easier to use in a full re-write than the 12-color sprites? I don't know much about 7800 programming & I think I'm missing something. Essentially yes, the 4-color sprites would be easier than the 12-color ones to program with, which was also why so many games stuck with the 3 color sprites. The 7800 was definitely a console before it's time, and the time it had on the stage was too short. Illya
  12. This challenge was mostly to show that when Spectral Dimensions got the rights to re-make the game for the 7800, they could have done a better job on the monsters. Having said that, If anyone wants to hack the 7800 version, or make an enhanced version for the 7800 / XM - I will jump on board with them and finish the rest of the graphics. Here's a comparison of the News/profile screen: The Arcade screen on the right is regular size, and the 7800 screen on the left is double it's regular size. Just in case AA shirks the pic for some odd reason - Here is the Comparison pic, and the regular sized 7800 screen in a zip file: Rampage News Screens.zip Illya PS - there is still a chance that I might get bored or have some free time, and add more Rampage conversion stuff in the future.
  13. @DracIsBack - Thank you, and thanks to everyone who has enjoyed my work. Some of the enemy characters are from the original game(ex. Skeleton, Bee swarm, Gem Eater), while others like the Wisp(aka Floating Head), the Knight, and the Zombie are my doing. As Trebor said, without Bobs hard work at bringing them to life, they'd just be a bunch of pretty pixels on a screen. @Trebor - Couldn't have said it better myself. Illya
