Thanks guys! I really do appreciate it. Here's Ralph the last of the monsters: I'll probably take a stab at the monster profile/selection screen next, and hopefully improve upon it. Illya

When I'm doing an arcade conversion I want to match the size, color, and distinguishing features as much as possible. Because our mind focuses on patterns to recognize one object from another, I take all of these factors into consideration. Since what I'm doing here is basically an update to the Muppet Baby Monsters themselves, I thought, "Hey... Why not give them more colors so they look even more like the arcade?!?!" At the same time though, I wanted to show a more direct color translation. I believe that the existing game may be able to be hacked to have the updated 3-color sprites thrown into it, but for the 4 or 12 color sprites, a re-write would be needed. Illya

There's a few more Bubble Bobble sprites over here too : http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/169238-free-sprites-for-the-taking/page__st__200#entry2312739 As far as Knight Rider goes... Ha...Haha...Haaaahahahaaa......Hahahahahaha!.. wooo! Illya

Hmm.. this is easier than I first thought. I think it's because the Rampage sprites use just a handful of colors, and the palette is very close to the 7800 one. And everyone's favorite giant ape - King K...!!! I mean... George. : Illya

This would look great on a T-Shirt. Had a bit of free time : Illya

Thanks to AtariLeafs' review, I also learned of the I'll give it a shot. Might be a few days before some progress is made on this, but stay tuned. Illya

Thank you very much. It's the culmination of many hours of work, but it's a labor of love for this timeless classic.

I reduced the amount of colors by, at most, 10-15 colors out of the entire original palette. The resolution has definitely changed when dealing with high color use and the 7800.

AA did shrink them. See 1st post for the Zipped up files Illya

Hey all! I've often wondered what Bubble Bobble would look like if it was on the 7800. I decided to stop wondering and do something about it, and so here they are - Bubble Bobble arcade sprites converted for the 7800: Bubble Bobble Arcade - 7800 Comparison.zip Just the 7800 Converted Sprites: Bubble Bobble 7800 Sprites.zip Level Tile Comparison: Bubble Bobble Wall-Platform block Comparison.zip Don't worry, I wouldn't expect ALL of the sprites to be used; Even the NES version didn't have everything the arcade version did. In fact, I've left a few out(Bub and Bob w/signs and thought bubbles saying Insert coin, Game Over, Thank you, etc.) as they were really not necessary. Thanks to Tezz for posting his Bubble Bobble WIP for the Atari 8-Bit Computers, as his work was my inspiration: http://www.atariage....-bubble-bobble/ Original Sprite Sheet can be found at: http://spriters-reso...obl/sheet/14077 Level Guide showing the level layouts is here: http://www.adamdawes...uide/index.html Illya

I had to emailed the creator of AtariTools in order to get the most recent Beta from him. This was a year ago though, so he's made better progress since then.

Hey Illya, It's amazing how you capture the essence of the actual game sprites using so few pixels. Very impressive! -B Thanks man. I wish I could say that it just took me 15-20 mins to whip up the 2600 conversion of the sprites, but in reality it probably took a couple of hours to get them looking nice. Not to mention lots of practice and developing a few techniques help out greatly. Illya

Alien Invaders is for the Hanimex system which is another Arcadia 2001 compatible console: http://www.old-compu...asp?st=2&c=1178

This is the last of the actual enemies as far as regular enemies go. The bosses from the Ghosts 'n Goblins arcade game are next. 3X: 1X: G&G Enemies Comparison Part3.zip Illya

Here's some info for you: http://www.cgcc.ca/a...=Leisure Vision http://ultimateconso...asurevision.htm "Canadian Arcadia 2001 clone. Well, not really a "clone" in the pirate sense as all of the systems from various countries were legally licensed releases. Looks exactly the same except for the label. Was also released in a more rare white version. There are also a full run of games under the Leisure vision label that should work fine on American systems."

Thank you very much. Now... who's gonna carry through with the programming part? Even a demo would be nice to see. I'll make more sprites if the need arises. Illya

Hey, got some Side views of KITT - Landing, Taking off(Jumping), and Still/Driving: Illya
-
Ok, but he's going to want to be paid a dollar a byte. I don't think he needs to worry about that. Invariably he'll just create a kickstarter and make just as much money even though he's ridiculed. My God I love this place.

""What say, all ye men? Will ye give as much Blood, as shall be needed to temper the steel?"-Capt. Ahab - James "Hardwork"" Ahhh yeah... it seems like only 9 years have passed since that now infamous statement was quoted... oh wait... It HAS been 9 years!!! Anyway... Thank you very much. The majority of the Background and Sprite work is mine, but Bob has done a bit of work on them as well. There's still quite a bit of work to do, and with suggestions and ideas from people, things could change during the course of it's development. Illya
