  1. Cool collection!!! One patch I could not see was the Kaboom patch. Do you have one of those?
  2. Hi there, Just with the microswitch mod. I have performed this on one of my bad controllers here and it works well except for the stick is really loose now. I cannot use the original spring as it hits all the microswitch when assembled. How do you get around this? I would ask for a price to get it done properly but unfortunately I live in Australia. Little far to send it mate. Any help will be appreciated.

    Lady Bug @ 50 Hz

The only problem you may find is that the colours on a PAL Atari will not match the the NTSC version as the TIA colour palette is different from NTSC and PAL consoles. I have both NTSC and PAL console and live in Australia. All games work fine on both systems. Just the colours get screwed when not using the correct ROM. 60 Hz is so much better for a lot of the games.
  4. how can I do that Parker? Do I need to try different resistance? I am a hack so try to be kind. Edit:// Correct. I am picking the Chroma from pin 9 of the PAL TIA chip.
  5. Hey longhorn, I have assembled 2 of them and tested one on my PAL light 6 switch. Just got a real ghosted image of the screen. I need to test the mod on my NTSC 4 switch that currently has one installed and working. Just need to confirm that I put the thing together correctly. I have has a lot of strange results on this PAL 6 switch and have found that the only mod that works has been the Benheck basic PAL mod. I will try it on a PAL Jnr that I have here. Have been really busy and not enough time to play with the thing.
  6. I didn't realise this was out!! I want. Please help!! If someone tells me where it is I will publish up to my RS account.
  7. I am so surprised at the quality on your LCD. That looks sweet as.
  8. Yeah got a reply back from Best. They do have the part but it would cost me more that what the whole unit cost me. I got myself some wire glue and will try a repair using that. Also picked up another Lynx for like $13AUD which is about $10USD. 2 is better than 1.
  9. Hi everyone, Took some pictures of my mod to make it a little easier to find all the points. My CBS Coleco is a revision D board. Hope this makes it a little clearer for everyone.
  10. Hi guys, Got myself a cheap Lynx II. I could not get it to switch on. I did manage to get it working by just inserting batteries into it. This started the games. All buttons worked except for right and power switch. I decided to pull the thing apart and found what the problem is. The plastic membrane that has all the tracks for the joystick and power button has a few tracks that are visibly worn out. Does anyone know how to fix this? I got a circuit writer pen which you can use to repair tracks but the tip is not fine enough. Using a soldering iron is not and option as the plastic melts the second anything hot hits it. Any ideas on this one? Would be a shame if I cannot fix it as its only about 4 racks and about half an inch of tracks.
  11. I clean all my console cases using bleach. Soak them in it for a couple of hours. Come up sweet! They do not change colour unfortunately.
  12. The Harmony cart is the bomb and makes it so easy to get to play a lot of the cool home brews on actual hardware.
  13. Just got my cart today. I must say this absolutely looks like a commercial product. I am at work so cannot test it but cosmetically it looks fantastic. Just want to get home and fire up my CV!! Thanks so much Steve. Looks like an excellent product.
  14. Any electronics component dealer. Here in Australia we have a chain called Jaycar that sells all sorts of connectors and din plugs.
  15. Here is one I have found eBay Auction -- Item Number: 280517781769 Cheaper than you can make it.
  16. My ones just came in this morning. Thanks LH!! Now to do some testing on some PAL 2600's!
  17. Just as a followup. I have completed the MOD and must say it is very nice indeed. Only problem for some reason my LCD comes up black and white with a shimmy in the graphics. CRT screens look perfect. If anyone needs help with there CBS CV PAL let me know.
  18. Hey Steve, Has shipments started on these bad boys? I am dieing to get my hands on this one. Getting sick of just playing Turbo (my only cart) on my CV Thanks Jason
  19. Has anyone actually tried this MOD on a CBS Colecovision? I have just got my hands on one here in Australia and really want to get this done. Looks pretty easy to do but would be good to see some output pictures etc. Also how well does it work with modern LCD/Plasma TV's?
  20. done,.. it works! Has anyone got pictures of this actual mod and also what is the picture quality on a LCD TV? Probably very similar to my mod as it is based on the CD4050 except with a bit more bleed due to the use of the slower CD4050. Use a CD74HC4050 if you are using a LCD TV. Most CRTs will fudge the signal a bit and using the slower CD4050 won't make a big difference. I have decided to just grab some of your MOD longhorn. It was so easy to install and S-video is sweet as. Hopefully I can get it running correctly on a PAL tv.
  21. Check out eBay and some of the China sellers. Got myself a 9V 900mA for $5AUD landed (thats about $4USD) Cut the end off and grabbed a plug for it for about $1 from my local electronics store. Works a treat.
  22. My order is just in too Steve. Already got a reply from you straight after I placed my order. Its good to see that people who start something on this site actually come through with it as well as keeping in contact with people buying the product and also just asking questions (Not like another member making Atari AV mods *cough*). One thing that I did forget to ask was will this work on my Australian PAL version of the Coleco? I am sure it will but thought I would just ask now anyway. Thanks Jason
  23. If you can get your hands on one of the longhorn AV mod boards (Basically impossible to get in contact with him) this will work sweet on a LCD TV using the S-Video output. I could not believe the quality of the picture on my 42" LCD. Actually got my hands on the mod from another member on this board. Have contacted Longhorn many times to order more with no response at all.
  24. Hi there. Not sure if this has anything to do with it but I recall years ago my C64 would not start up. i have to restart the thing over and over again. A mate of mine who was fairly tech savvy had a look and tested the power brick and told me that that was on the way out. That is why it would work sometimes and not others. Check out the power voltages and see if this could be the problem.
