  1. I happen to enjoy the game and pop it in every now and again. It's one of those Jaguar titles where playing against the game's quirks, odd design choices and low frame-rate become part of the experience. A scenario that's all too common in the Jaguar's retail library.
  2. Battlemorph is a high-water mark for the retail release library. Thanks for the re-release!
  3. Here's a video I did of my current Jag collection (as of yesterday) which includes all retail releases, BSG, Another World, the Telegames and Songbird post-JTS releases and a few homebrews. Opinions differ on what a "complete" collection consists of. For me, that includes everything released before Atari's reverse merger, the Telegames releases and Songbird's releases of games in development prior to 1996. I don't pick up every homebrew or ST port although I think it's awesome they are coming out and pick up the ones I'm personally interested in. https://youtu.be/neSTIpA5_kY
  4. A quick short of my current Jag collection. It includes a complete retail collection, the post-JTS releases from Telegames and Songbird, some demos and homebrew releases.

  5. I'm guessing they're saving it for Atari Vault 3 or to be included in the remake. Evercade had an Atari collection under license with the 7800 version and the arcade version is on Antstream.
  6. @Yak - Can you give us any insights? Or must we be content to read the Twitter tea leaves? ☕
  7. Funny thing is that aside from E.T., all of those titles are from Activision. It's actually a cool idea. I loved From Software's 3D Dot Game Heroes on PS3 which is essentially the same concept applied to Zelda. Done well, it's can be a really cool approach to updating retro games.
  8. Here's a more in depth article from Venture Beat (Games Beat) with quotes from Artz and statements from Mega Cat CEO. https://venturebeat.com/2021/07/29/atari-will-bring-back-reimagined-classic-arcade-game-food-fight-for-the-vcs/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
  9. Atari announced a collaboration with Mega Cat Studios to bring a remake of Food Fight out in '22. It will be on multiple consoles, but first out on the VCS. More of this please. https://screenrant.com/atari-food-fight-game-remake-online-multiplayer/
  10. I think that from a backer/early adopter perspective, the gap between titles can be frustrating. But if you just picked this up at launch, you have a reasonable launch library of 20+ games to peruse. Hoping to see a few new titles soon.
  11. I had a Jaguar before liquidation but built out my original collection after game prices fell. Sold all of that in 1998. When I decided to get a Jaguar again, I picked up a new Power Kit for $25. Had to be 2001-2002. Interestingly, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics inflation calculator, $250 in December 1993 has the same buying power as $461 today. Can anyone buy a new Jaguar at that price today?
  12. Whose in for the Robotron 2084 single life tournament challenge on Antstream Arcade?

  13. Minter posted a pic on Twitter with a VCS. It was of Warren Robinette's famous Easter Egg in Adventure. Hoping that it's a sign that something Tempest this way comes....
  14. My favorites have been: 1. Thrustlander 2. Jetboard Joust 3. Danger Scavenger 4. Spear Master 5. ATO
  15. Echo double checking to make sure both your system and controllers have the latest firmware. My Bluetooth and wi-fi are rock solid with the latest update. That wasn't always true.
  16. Also, some games allow allow for fine tuning of the sensitivity of the Classic Controller's rotary function based on the game and your preference. This is a great feature but not obvious.
  17. Microcenter added the VCS and controllers to their page overnight. Currently "sold out."
  18. The Best Buy link appears to be live. I added it to my cart and was given an in-store pickup date of 6/19. No change on the Microcenter or GameStop pages. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/atari-vcs-800-black-walnut-all-in-bundle/6459020.p?skuId=6459020
  19. Does anyone know if this is the same game that was released in 2016? Or is this the update to that version that the dev has been teasing? Pixel Cup Soccer 17 on Steam June 9 Update
  20. I show a TBD for Gamestop. Best Buy still has a release date 6/15/2021 and have added the "free item" for the Speaker Hat. This wasn't currently listed. I guess that we'll see on Tuesday.
  21. Wow, I really snoozed on this. Hoping for a third U.S. run
  22. Does anyone know if games are locked to the console or the account? For example, if someone has two VCS consoles would they be able to access their game library from each by signing in?
