  1. Here's the big issue with these. Missile Command is dirt common. Great game but I'm willing to bet most of us have several copies. It's a hard proposition at $100.

Adventure is a bit less common and prices have spiked thanks to Ready Player One and now Stranger Things. It's an easier sell given where the market is.

    Current pricecharting for reference.

The packages do look very nice!

  3. Atari reps have said in their Discord that it's coming out on Switch. They won't/can't post the logo to their site until Nintendo has a page up for the game on their eShop. They also came just short of confirming for XBOX and Playstation.

  4. Per LRG, this isn't an LRG official release. They appear to have been a distribution partner only.  I wonder how appealing these were to their fans?

I don't think we know if the originally announced production numbers of 1983 ea. stand or if the lower numbers advertised by LRG are the total run. My guess is these are the LRG allocations and that Atari was able to move 983 Yar/Sab and less than 500 Aquaventure. I suppose we'll find out when someone posts their LTD. certificate.

I'm actually more curious about the Std numbers. Is it possible that Atari sold fewer of rhe $49 cart and manual? We may never have an answer to that question. ?

What is the button to break cages? I can't tell if it is hitting A or B twice, holding it down, pressing once and ramming it or what. I seem to ricochet off the cage a lot, seems like I am doing it wrong.

It's hitting the A button twice. I find that it's best to release the thumbstick as you hit the cage so that you land squarely on the base.

I was getting all excited that there was some massive bundle of games coming out for the Atari VCS, but then see physical cartridges and think 'where on my Atari VCS (2020) am I going to fit a cartridge?  I didn't see one when I upgraded the memory.'  :P  This is likely a post in the wrong section?

We do get digital copies with the Ltd. Editions for the new VCS (2020). I guess it's tangentially related?

But what I'm saying is it seemed like I could just hit the jump button and bypass the gate, no matter what color I was

I think if you have enough height and momentum you can bound over the gates.  Otherwise, you should be bouncing back.  On a normal jump I haven't been able to clear a gate.

Just picked it up on my lunch break and played a quick round.   Looks great!   I'm confused by the red gates though,  it implies that you can't pass until they open, yet I can jump over them?  Is that how it's supposed to work?

You press "B" to change the color of BPM Boy between Red and Blue.  This will allow you to pass through gates, roll over platforms, and cross certain bridges.

    1) The game can technically be played with the Classic Controller, its just not as enjoyable.  So even though the functionality is there, its not listed as being supported.

    2) There are 34 levels.  Additionally, because the game uses earned XP to unlock later levels, you're encouraged to replay levels to improve your time, collect all of the notes, and find the "Fuji" secrets hidden in each level.

    3) Online leaderboards work but use the name you pick in the game and not your VCS username.  This is because the VCS leaderboard functionality wasn't available as the game was being built so the dev used his own system (similar to the implementation in Guntech 2.0).

    4) I haven't got to a boss fight yet but its still early in the day! ;)

Its a fun game with great music, level design and is unique in the VCS library. If you enjoy platform games of the roller variety, its an easy recommendation at $20.  Plus, its a true VCS exclusive!

Some of the scenes and framing that fans of these consoles setup is amazing. Love your stuff on twitter too; really just appreciate the thought some of these shots have clearly had put into them.

Thanks, I appreciate it! Of course, it helps to have something so awesome to take a photo of.?

@BitJag really did some amazing work on the art for the packaging!
