  1. Bold hasn't sold any extra stuff for me. Featured rarely works. And now THIS? Nope, nahgonndoit. Wouldn't be prudent. (And 50 cents is NUTS.)
  2. "Bowls?" For myself, I'd have to go with Crypts of Chaos. It was a 3D dungeon crawl for Pete's Sake! I mapped the dungeons out and wrote out the best strategies for killing the various monsters, etc. I spent the better part of a summer on that game. Can't play it for more than 3 minutes now without getting bored. <walking down the hall> THUM THUM THUM THUM THUM THUM
  3. You're referring to the "Nintendo/Xbox/PS2 sucks/rocks" fanbase, right? Good God, are you the optimistic one. I haven't seen videogame consumers NOT trash a new system. EVER. Hell, even the Colecovision/Intellivision/Vectrex had their nay-sayers in the day. To expect otherwise nowadays is delightfully naive. And if you're waiting ofr someone who bought it to chime in, you'll be waiting forever. I've visited 4 Gamestops in my area yesterday (just shopping) and asked each store how many they sold since release day. Totalling all four stores? Less than 12 in an area covering Cleveland to Columbus. Bad, bad, bad.
  4. Yeah, but I can't sit down comfortably. Hi-yooooooo...
  5. So does that mean The Ravenous Dead won't be coming to Stella = You catch on quick. Sorry.
  6. Belboz got 'em. Thanks gang. (Sorry sponge, ask bel, maybe he can spare one. They're his now.)
  7. Hey kids, I stripped a bunch of 2600 carts for a project. Now, I'm stuck with about 25-30 PCBs. I was going to save these for a future 2600 programming project, but I've started tinkering around with CV programming. These are taking up space. Anyway, each PCB has the ROM and shield still attached. They all work, so if you just want to plug them in and play them, be my guest. (But they are almost all Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Asteroids, and the like.) If you want to strip them of the ROM and use them for future cart-building, that's fine too. So, if anyone wants them for whatever purpose, I'll fire them out for Priority Mail shipping ($5 or less). Post here if you want 'em.
  8. I visit the G4 website often and I can tell you how this travesty happened. The list for Filter is pre-determined and is usually about 30-50 titles/subjects. When you log on, you can choose which of several on-going "polls" (The Filterator) you wish to participate in. Each title pops up and you are asked to score it on a scale of 1 to 10. The site keeps an on-going average of each title/entry. A month or two before airtime, the polls close, they read the results and film an episode on it. Therefore, though the gamers vote, they do NOT have any say as to what's on the initial list. I didn't see this specific poll, but I betcha there wasn't any Vectrex titles, few Intellivision titles and Colecovision titles, and no O2 titles. the initial list probably sucked, therefore the final results sucked.
  9. Five Steps to Finding/Buying Stella Gets a New Brain: 1. Go to "search" in icon list above. 2. Type in Stella Gets a New Brain. 3. Look over the tons of entries on this subject. 4 Go to this short thread to find the address and price of buying one. Info on buying Stella 5. Let this thread die before it becomes another Hozer-bash. Thanks.
  10. Falling? No. But spiking due to overwhelming demand? Not hardly. Upon release of the Ngage, Nokia's stock trmbled within a point and a half, but nothing more. Here ya go: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=NOK&t=5d
  11. Did someone say lists? Digital Press' Massive List of Release Lists - 66 Systems represented (Yes, NES too) Now, some of these lists shows rarity and value, but some is just a "checklist" of all games ever released for a specific system. I know the DP Guide actually has the NES rarities listed, but the on-line list is a checklist. Hope this is of use anyway.
  12. I think Tom Keller has Propeller Arena. Is he still involved with CGE? http://www.dreamcasthistory.com/index1.html Can't answer for Tom, but it wasn't his booth anyway. It was the booth for Lost Levels On-line that had all the nifty DC protos up and running. Even had California Raisons for NES for folks to try as well as other Grails running on the actual hardware they were designed for.
  13. I saw the PBA Bowling demo'ed at CGE this year at the same booth that had Propellor Arnea demo'ed. So, I can confirm that the proto exists and it's out there. But for the LIFE of me, I can't remember what booth that was. Grrr.....
  14. Wolfenstein 3D is great. Granted, it's a simple game originally, but that's what makes it work so well on the limited hardware.
  15. Sweet merciful crap. That alone woulda been worth flying over from the US to see. TRON on the big screen. I am truly envious. Looks like a great meet!
  16. Groovy. I never knew any of this.
  17. I don't doubt ya at all Matt, but where did you get that info? I never made the connection, and I was a 20th Century Fox hound in the day. Knew of Dallas, but didn't know Doug was he. Or him. You know what I mean.
  18. I'm getting this error phpBB : Critical Error Could not open BlackSoul template config file Same here. That's odd' date=' me and most of the regular users are postin' like mofo's. Not sure why you're still getting the error message. Try this direct link and see what happens: http://www.digitpress.com/forum/
  19. Weirdos... Tempest Heh. I've met ya Matt. Seen you thrash around on a bed during the Red Eye's CGE room party while you tried desperately to remember what the three O2 Master Series games were while you screamed in agony as your mind ran through all of the videogame minutae it has stored up. (Though, I gotta admit, more than once during the trivia game, I shouted "How the f*** did you know THAT?!?" at ya.) Weirdos, indeed.
  20. The DP Forums are back up and running for "people who like that sort of stuff."
  21. Double-posts and those who make them both suck.
  22. Actually, it's selling brand new for less than $30 here. And used, you can buy it for $25 or less. Don't think anyone would part with their copy for less though. Good luck.
  23. Cinemaware also has GBA versions of Wings and The Three Stooges too! (Now if they'd just release It Came From the Desert and Rocket Ranger for GBA, I can die a happy man!)
