  1. While opening a just-acquired, still-factory-sealed LP from 1975 today, the coolness of that experience was mitigated considerably by the realization that if I'd done the same relative thing when that album was new, I would have been opening a 78 from 1934. Yet another reminder how long ago the 70's were. Doesn't seem possible some days.

      Wow, that's an interesting way of looking at it.

       

      Just today, I opened some sealed Atari games from 1982. These are games that I can clearly remember being brand new at the time. But if I could have opened a sealed game that was just as old in 1982, I'd be opening a game from 1948! There wasn't even any such thing as commercial video games in '48!

      Moycon: Main Squeeze by Chuck Mangione. The CD runs upwards of $100, so a sealed, mint LP for $18 was the way to go.
