Instead of "Greatest Hits" or "Best of..." compilations, just once, I wish someone would put out an album called, "Just the Crap".

Why would Photoshop reset itself and erase all my things I did to customize it?
-
If it crashed, then either 1) its Preferences became corrupted and couldn't load them, so it reset to its defaults or 2) if you had made all of those changes without ever having quit Photoshop and *then* it crashed, it may not have saved them in the first place. Photoshop typically saves custom settings when the application is being quit. This is bad if the application crashes while quitting, and before being able to save those settings. Usually, if I go through and add custom Actions, Brushes, etc., I'll intentionally quit Photoshop so it updates the preferences.
If you run backups on your computer regularly (and you should), and Photoshop *had* saved those preferences before, it's possible to restore them by replacing the current settings with earlier copies. Google "Where are my Photoshop preferences saved" and that'll point you in the right direction.
There are ways to intentionally reset them, but they're unlikely to be triggered by accident: https://www.greaterthangatsby.com/how-to-reset-the-photoshop-preferences-file/

Champ Games' Turbo Arcade and Elevator Agent for the 2600, plus cartridges for 10 of our previously released games are now available for sale (cartridges and ROMs) in our store!
-
@bent_pin is absolutely correct. The 2600+ is where the compatibility issues need to be addressed. Champ Games were designed to work on original 2600 hardware. That's the standard. At present, the 2600+ does not meet that standard. That may change at some point.

Found a Sony PVM 14M2U in a dumpster today. not sure it works yet or not but it's in excellent shape.

Our power went out at around 5:30 p.m. on September 6, 2023 (came back on around 8:15 p.m.). The uninterruptible power supply decided to die before I could turn off my computer. The computer and external hard drives all seem to be fine. I normally have a good amount of time to turn everything off. There wasn't even an annoying warning beep.

Mine has a straight USB to USB connection, and will also power down everything after a set number of minutes without main power. There's an app that comes with it that gives me control over how and when it shuts things down, and also tracks power outages and battery condition.
You should check the condition of your UPS battery. If they get too old, they won't fully charge any more or just outright fail. My previous UPS (made by APC) actually fried its own motherboard, and cut power to my computer - while the main power was still on. It did the exact opposite of what it was supposed to do. The one I own now is by CyberPower, and I've been very happy with it. I have another one for work, too.

Lego Atari 2600 is complete. Looks pretty cool. A Lego piece identical to the one I was missing was on one of my son's Lego builds. I bought it off him for a dollar. All are happy. 😁

*Sigh* I miss the Status Updates on the Gaming Forum Index section like before.

Does the world need another search engine?

Well, that's great. J.J. Abrams' "Bad Reboot" gets to ruin yet-another childhood-favorite franchise of mine: Speed Racer. (Not that it could be any worse than the Wachowskis' movie.) https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/speed-racer-live-action-tv-series-j-j-abrams-apple-1235154012/

Peter Griffin on Garfield: His 9 Lives. An unusual piece from Jim Davis that I remember reading it at my local library growing up and wondering why did this come about.

Mike Nesmith of the Monkees died today. He was 78.
-
I've been a fan of the Monkees (and particularly Nez) for over 40 years. He looked especially frail during the tour he and Micky just concluded, but of course you always hope that such things are momentary.
I'd highly recommend checking out Nez's solo work. Tropical Campfires, The Newer Stuff, Magnetic South, and if you're looking for something a bit different, try The Prison (which is a masterpiece) or Rays. Micky just released an amazing album of covers of Nez's work titled Dolenz Sings Nesmith. Well worth checking out.
Rest in Peace Nez.

I suppose they could've just Knick Knack'd her instead: https://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=1883
That would probably look insanely weird though.
