  1. Yup, thats what it looks like to me. And the rest of the carts in the box are commons, common+
  2. HAHA, yeah i know. It was late at night and i was already irritated. i do realize i was little over the top. it happens...
  3. At least this clears up the recent debate over if "BIG SEXY" is referring to the 5200 or the H6. There were a few people that were confused over it.....LONG LIVE BIG SEXY.... indeed
  4. Did you buy that ZIF PCB or did you make it? Do you know where i can find the PCB plans to make a ZIF PCB with two DIP sockets like the one you have?
  5. Wow, thats really interesting. I'm very curious now to know the serial number of the first Atari. the serial numbering scheme seems to have started on an arbitrary number. And why start on E.
  6. Hmm, maybe you should of bought the Heavy Sixer when it was $7.99. Just a thought. $7.99 for a heavy sixer is an amazing price, hell even $39.99 is a great price. I wish the thrift store around here would sell anything Atari. I live very close to silicon valley and i never see anything. Finding a Working Heavy for $7.99 would be an epic event
  7. I remember playing a virtual reality game back in the like 1995, It was pretty primitive, however i don't remember feeling an vertigo, disorientation, or "sea sickness" as Bushnell suggests. I don't think I've even seen another VR Machine Since then. Thanks for sharing!
  8. "..Is that in Yen?.." HAHAHA thats classic! im going to quote you on that add it to my sig. It's getting more and more common now. I don't know where people get these legendary stories of other Ataris' that sold for thousands. If the majority of the populace begin to believe that these are worth that much, then the standard prices we pay will begin to inflate (in fact they've already begun to). I dont understand why there is such a common misconception about the value of things that are old. I mean back in 2000 everyone i knew who had Atari products wrote them off as junk, Yes the price has gone up because its becoming more of a nostalgia thing. But sometimes i see things go for outragous prices. The 2000 dollar atari that was up on CL a few weeks ago droppped the price after i talked to the seller and lead them to the right places to get a bearing on the correct price. its just craziness. Sorry for the rant...
  9. haa just loaded it up on my supercharger wow its hard Supercharger? Do you not have a Harmony Cart? I had a supercharger forever and i still do infact. I prefer to play the supercharger games (Starpath Frogger is the shizznit) on a supercharger instead of my Harmony. If i didnt i would have no use for it . To the OP the games definitely not bad for a first time around, good job bro. Keep up the good work and thanks for contributing to the homebrew scene
  10. Yeah, Definitely in the last few years i've noticed that people's misconception of the value of Atari related things has caused people to charge outrageous prices for certain things. Then some other naive individual makes the basis of the value of their Atari items of the other persons misconception. And what makes this all worse is when some idiot buys these things at these prices, then people see what it sold for and the cycle continues. Inflating the prices of anything even slightly old. This Heavy sixer isnt an example of this, I would have gladly paid twice of much as i did for it. heavy sixer's are by far my favorite
  11. That's awesome, i love it when i have my atari or some carts with me, or I'm rocking my geek wear and someone reminisces of Atari from when they were a kid. i always get a kick out of it.
  12. First and for most Dragonfire in the latter stages is ridiculous! Also, Dragster, Cosmic Ark, and Laser Blast
  13. Wow, both of those look fantastic. i can't wait till their available, so i can supplement my geek wear
  14. Yeah,i second that. who knew that Atari's had stereo support. i always second guessed myself when i would say "thats definitely for speakers,.....no no its for ventilation... nope speakers". crazy to find out all this time later that indeed they are for speakers.
  15. Really? thats interesting. I've never heard anything about that before. I have heard however that Heavy Sixers display colors brighter. Do you know what cap. is used to achieve the enhanced colors? or is it custom? either way i want to solder one of those to all my 2600's
  16. Just got my First heavy sixer. Also since no body has taken over the list i'm going to go through the entire thread and record the names type of heavy and the serial number. So if everybody is cool with it, i would like to take over and maintain this thread and the list.
  17. Actually if you look at all his other auctions bid history there is always some "new" eBayer with 0 feedback driving up the price. I think this guy does so "well" because he's shill bidding. It might not be true but its something to consider. especially when you look at all his aution history. Just a thought (for those that don't know what shill bidding. It is when you register other account under fake names, and then bid on you own auctions to drive up the price buy just out bidding people. or by bidding small amounts to max out other peoples highest bid, therefore getting people to pay the absolute highest price they are willing to pay.)
  18. hey, i was wonder if you ended up selling this lot? is it possible to buy just the heavy sixer joystick. I just got a heavy sixer and i really wanted to use the heavy sixer joystick to make it complete(as i has no joystick). I would be so grateful if you could. thanks
  19. I've been trying to find a NTSC prototype lab loaner for a while. If your willing to sell it please let me know. actually that goes for anyone reading this. Any NTSC prototype in a lab loaner cart i will pay good money for.
  20. I have a few Atari 2600's a 4-swtich woody, and a 2600 jr. I've always wanted to get a heavy sixer and i just got mine! I know most of you guys out there already have one,And this post may seem ridiculous to you. but to me this is a milestone for me as i've been looking to buy one for a few years now. For years the main Atari i used was my 4-switch woody(In near mint condition might i add). My new heavy sixer isn't in as good a condition but its still functional, all the swtiches work, the sunnyvale sticker with serial number is in excellent shape(is there a thread about posting heavy sixer serial numbers?). the only problem is cosmetic. Mainly the yellow stripe around the switch plate. does anyone know how to touch that up? and what color paint is it exactly. So anyway without further ado here is my heavy sixer...
  21. Ahh man you beat me to post by 2 minutes. That means we were literally making that same label at the exact same time! Great minds think alike. It took me a little longer because i was looking for the perfect picture
  22. All i have to say is..... Yeah that's definitely the same font. good eye! I don't think i would have ever noticed that. If its meant to be subliminal advertisement for Retro Gamers, it sure as worked. The proof is in this post exists hahahahha :P
  23. i always wondered how well those controllers worked. i had no idea it fit over the old atari joystick. does anyone here have one that they might be willing to sell (im going to post this in marketplace as well). i've looked on eBay from time to time in the past 3 months and only have seen it once, but it was listed with a console, like 37 games, atari grabbers, mad controllers and was in the 150+ dollar range. so that was a no-go
