  1. It can be, but once you set it all up... The stars align, the oceans part, the ground shakes, and it's downright magical
  2. I sincerely doubt it, but I also hope she does, so she can buy one of them new fangled flashbulbs for her camera. One of my greatest pet peeves in life is when people automatically assume that just because something is "old" that it's always valuable. I COMPLETELY agree! People who are just THAT naive really really irritate me . its like can you seriously be that ignorant? if your going to sell something that you think is valuable then you should at least research it. And if not that, then at the very very least look up similar items on eBay to get a price range(even though that's really reliable). I mean theres so many different models of the 2600 too. that just a light sixer. i bet she has absolutely no clue about what shes selling
  3. I REALLY wanted to buy an AtariVox but unfortunately they are not available. I see that it says it has 32k EEPROM for Saves, Highscores, Config. settings and voice synth. but it also says "and more" what is the more? Also when will these be available again?
  4. Are there any recent developments regarding this? To the OP'er: Someone Correct me if I'm wrong but, I believe that you can get an AtariVox from the AA store that does just that (save Highscores), It also hads better voice synth to games that are specifically use it(homebrews/Hacks) it can also save game progress and configuration settings. Does anyone know anymore information on the AtariVox as well? EDIT: Its still currently Unavailable at the AA store....sorry
  5. Apparently, I do mean "Video Game Brain" but a homemade device that gives you two cart slots and allows setting A12 high or low on either slot would also work. It would be easy to lay out a board for such a device, and would not require any logic chips. The edge connectors (either through hole, but deep enough to insert a cart, or straddle-mount) might be hard to find for a reasonable price, though. I'm trying to find information about the "Video Game Brain" but i also just keep pulling up the unreleased Game Brain. Do you think you can link me to the relevant information about it. I just cant seem to find it using Google.
  6. It's funny that i had the exact opposite question. sometime the colors scrolled and other times not. I Prefer the scrolling colors. This thread still answered my question. I don't think i saw the scrolling colors option in the manual, but i'll give another once over to see if i missed anything else. Thanks
  7. Wow i really hate this kind of thing. Its really bad for eBay but far worse for the retro gaming hobby by far. Looking at all his feedback is appalling, this guy is a GENUINE SCAMMER. I dont want to sound over dramatic but this is not acceptable, i can't believe that eBay would allow someone with over 30+ negative (sometimes clearly fradulent transactions) to continue operating. I think we should ALL band together and take this dude down. but if we all flag his auction AND report this to eBay then he'll go down. Yes he can just start a new account. but having to start over he'll start at 0 feedback and im sure more negative feedback from his new ripoffs will (hopefully) get him shutdown again and we can rid the community of these kind of people. This is just my opinion but with more people like this, this will seriously start to hurt our community. Since people will see that if this guy can get away with it and profit so can i. If i'm the only one trying to rid this guy then no ones going to hear me, but if we all speak out against this kind of thing together it'll work. I know i sound melodramatic but this kind of thing REALLY gets to me. I'm new to AtariAge but i've been gaming all my life and dealing with these kind of people has always been a problem. I'm going to go play some Atari and cool down, with all that Atari goodness
  8. Awesome! Exactly what i was looking for! Thanks alot
  9. I just read that there was a release of one of my all time favorite games for the 2600, Megaman. However i can't seem to find the game or the ROM for it. I know it was a homebrew, Does anyone have a copy they are willing to sell or at least a ROM dump (with the authors permission) that i can try. i read that it was pretty good.
  10. Your dad (if that really is) has an absolutely epic outfit (yes i used the word "epic" haha) He's looks like the Flava Flav' of Indy.
  11. My rarest games would be my 2 R4's Buck Rodgers and Star Trek: SOS and my R9: Spike's Peak
  12. i absolutely love it! great job man. I always wanted to that! haha it's so awesome. i would love to have a fully wooden 2600. Maybe i will commission the longhorn engineer to do it. he does alot of wooden mods.
  13. From what is supplied in that listing its impossible to guarantee authenticity. It's really improbable that its an original copy, but i guess its possible.
  14. I've been playing Chris waltons Hunchy II and this game is definitely is in my favorite homebrew of all time. hats off to Chris (cd-w) on this. I was wondering has anyone actually beaten this game yet? I can't seem to make it past level 9. anyone have any tips? I've been playing this on my new deluxe Harmony. I plan on buy the stand alone cart when i can get my fund back up, to show my support to Atari Age and cd-w
