  1. I love this! I have a soft spot for the Sesame Street games. I remember Bert had a paperclip collection, maybe work that in somehow. It would be amazing if Bert's stupid laugh could be simulated.
  2. I will spare you recreations of my adolescent efforts on Surround. Chunky pixelated peckers and naughty words were about the extent of it, but we had fun. Yours looks great! Somewhere around here is a VHS tape where I recorded pictures my kids created in Art Alive! for the Genesis. Good memories; wish I could have done the same with Surround or Micro-Painter on the Coco.
  3. Oh yeah, that was me! I thought I already 'fessed up to that.
  4. Oh, my gosh. Im a lucky boy! My Secret Santa is not only generous, but a consummate gift giver. Chicgamer clearly did her homework, selected perfect gifts, and packaged them with care. Let's take a look: Tempest for the 5200; I've been wanting this one for sure. I just pulled out my 5200 to replace the broken storage compartment lid, so I will play it soon. I collect all kinds of Radio Shack items, memorabilia, so I really hit the jackpot today, starting with the clicker controller vette. This great Astro Command VFT game. I have been looking for this at a reasonable price for a while. I got some good play time in on this right away. Laser Tag - my 28 yo daughter I will be playing this tomorrow. Another very cool Radio Shack item. And this one cover two collections, Radio Shack and Little Professor. I have multiple Little Professor variants and now this very cool Radio Shack knockoff. The guide / puzzle / coloring book is nifty and the custom denim carry bag is a cool touch. Everything that took batteries had batteries installed and little cardboard tabs added for safety in transit. The gifts were beautifully wrapped and Chicgamer included a hand written card to go with the gifts. Thanks you so so much!! I loved everything!!!
  5. Just opened the box for a peek! Five lovely wrapped gifts and a card from my mysterious benefactor Chicgamer! Still holding out for tomorrow. I will report back here.
  6. Fathom has an ending. It's not cinematic or even very interesting, but it is an accomplishment.
  7. Looks like a coral reef environment to me. You should call that level "Reef Madness".
  8. I started wondering how may years I had done this Secret Santa thing; I was thinking 7 or 8 years. I was surprised to find out I have been participating since 2010. It's a tradition I would not willingly give up.
  9. Or even click the button at the top of this page to follow this thread and set the preference to email notifications and you should get notice whether you log in here or not.
  10. My last item has finally arrived and everything packed up. Excited to get it sent out on Monday!
  11. Thanks Flojo, I had not seen that video. Just skipping around it for 15 minutes gave me all kinds of new insight. I will need to take the time to watch the whole thing.
  12. I honestly never noticed that there was a difference. When I got the dogbone with the toploader, it was a seamless transition for me, the only thing I noticed was that it felt more comfortable. I never looked back; both the toploader and controller have held up great as well, through years of service.
  13. This winter has been far too frigid for anyone to sleep in the cold! Even though we never actually get it, the Hello Kitty bike is the gift that keeps on giving!
  14. A big thank you to my awesome Secret Santa!! The big heavy box came with a personalized note, which I dutifully read before digging in: They included big bags of great candy and two My Arcade minis. I hadn't started this series yet, but these two games were great choices! Next were some gift boxes with cute little clues about what was inside. A cute mailbox with N64 games!! Two of them were duplicates but both were significant label upgrades, so yay!!! The next box had some TI-99 titles which was a cool surprise... Then a big selection of 2600 games which knocked a big chunk off my wish list. Several of them were picture labels for games where I only had the text version. Just so everyone knows, the Mystery Cart! was the first one popped in and it was River Raid! While I had this game, this "forced" me into playing the game for the first time in a while; great game!. I also spent a while with Skate Boarding, first time I had ever played it, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I think the most fun was diggin through the big pile of manuals, boxes and catalogs. So much stuff I needed for my collection, thank you Santa! I had a great time opening this and look forward to updating my lists, playing games and updating my shelves and manual filing box. I still don't know who my secret Santa was, but thank you so very much!!!
  15. Just a quick note, I broke down and opened the package tonight (Christmas Eve is technically part of Christmas). I will do a big post with pics, but suffice to say that secret santa knocked it out of the park!!!!!!
  16. Alright, only six days left to wait to open my box! Usually, am good waiting, but this box has me intrigued. It is very heavy for it's size which makes it seem like there is a small frozen turkey in there.
  17. No specific information on this unit, but my past history with CCTV equipment tells me that an 8 switch DIP setting has 256 potential addresses (0-255). You could try switch 1 and 2 on for channel 3 and see if it works. I see two banks of switches, maybe it has two separate outputs? Here is a calculator for a 10 switch on stage equipment. I think the lower numbers it generates would be correct, unless this equipment uses a different scheme, but I bet it works.
  18. That was me! I was pretty stoked to get your info and you were asking for your first double-ender, as I remember how happy I was to get my first one. The Dune book is actually the whole trilogy. Amazing that this box made it from Washington State to your Virginia PO in about 42 hours.
  19. USPS is kicking ass on all my stuff this year. My outgoing package made it all the way across the country in a little more than a day and a half!! Meanwhile FedEx service has been atrocious on all my work stuff.
  20. Very cool! I am definitely down for that “homebrew” when it happens. Any idea what subject / theme you want to do?
  21. Sooooo excited to do this again! I was hoping to get Cebus; he was gonna get so much Good & Plenty and Mary Janes in his stocking. However, I am grateful to my recipient for being very specific. Everything but the candy is already on the way here and one item I am very excited about, because I know I was very stoked to get one for myself.
