  1. Man, they are both great; I can't vote against either. That said, the Gamecube does have my all time favorite controller and game (Metroid Prime).
  2. That is pretty slick, doesn't allow for card games, but no big loss. I would have move the Genesis around from it's current spot to avoid having to peek around the cart setup to see the screen, but not a big deal. $40 is about what I am finding power bases for lately and this would be easier to handle and store.
  3. Having picked up a Channel F, Vectrex and TG16 in the few years, there isn't a whole lot left I really need. I will get a 5200 if I come across the right deal as I have quite a pile of carts I have picked up here and there for next to nothing. I guess the main thing lacking is Master System. I have about twenty games for it and I can technically play them with Master Gear attachment for my Game Gear, but that is not a good option for most games; you can see what you are doing for the most part, but text, scores and most projectiles are nearly impossible to see. I would be perfectly satisfied with a power base converter to play SMS on the Genesis, though. I still have a strange compulsion to have a Virtual Boy, and would likely pick up a Bally Astrocade or Emerson Arcadia at the right price.
  4. I loved Fire Truck, Stunt Cycle, Super Bug and all the Sprint games. Speaking of which, I am having trouble finding much hardware info on Sprint 8. I see it listed several places as a black and white game, but at least the versions I played had eight separately colored cars. I saw on one site that it had a separate board for each player.
  5. For computing, it would be an Apple IIc LCD screen: For gaming, I really really would like to stumble onto an Onyx:
  6. Interesting, I don't think I ever read the last few posts in that thread. I can confirm that I bought directly from the OP in person, so Al nailed that one.
  7. I sadly have too few of the great homebrews. Let's see: Chunkout Jack and the Beanstalk CGE Adventures Stella's Stocking Halo 2600 Reflex (I believe this is a ripoff HB of a different game) Ladybug (absolutely amazing!)
  8. As an aficionado of all forms of "inappropriata", I get a kick out of these games based on the taste of my inner ten-year-old, but the gameplay just isn't there. The only one I enjoy as a game is X-Man, and it also happens to be the most "graphic" in my opinion.
  9. Scaring off might be a little strong for me, but yes, I know I will struggle to add much to the many conversations to be had. I will have to keep it to the basics; "I like parsec", "them stock joystick sure are stiff and unresponsive", or "I would love to find a PEB for a decent price".
  10. OK, I am just going to build one. It seems to be within my skills.
  11. Geez, I tried listening to the latest episode of Shane Monroe's latest gift to the world, Passenger Seat Radio. He started out by recounting the tale of the time he shit his pants in the car. It went downhill from there, a total shartfest.
  12. Wow, that place looks like a lot of fun! Too bad it is so far out of my migration path. Pinball Hall of Fame in Vegas has a decent selection of these type of games and of course tons of EM pinballs. One of the games they have is Chicago Speedway, which is a racing car version of the motorcycle game you showed and I spent a lot of time on that one.
  13. From what I am heard, Chuck is not doing these any more. I hope I am wrong about that, because now I need one too. Maybe you could do a limited run, CVP?
  14. For me Silver Surfer stage one music would be the one. I like the rest of the music from the game, but of course level one is all I really remember from actually playing that sadistic game.
  15. A cart release seems apropo, however, I would be more likely to purchase a Sega CD release of Make My Video: Crowdfunded Retrogaming Console.
  16. Rainbows and waterfalls? I think it comes down to innocent until proven guilty and common courtesy. Are there a few red flags? Sure, and I would think long and hard before purchasing without further evidence of it being the real deal, but I wouldn't be calling someone out unless I knew for sure. Some people aren't wired like that though, which is fine; the naysayers and conspiracy theorists have probably saved our asses more often than us nice folks would like to admit. I hope it is real and he gets what it is worth. I also hope he keeps up his interest in Atari and becomes a contributing member here. Switzerland out!
  17. The last time I went to Pinball Hall of Fame I changed out two twenties and played for 6-7 hours then donated the last 7 or 8 bucks in quarters to his March of Dimes bucket, so $32?
  18. I have only played N64 and PS1. N64 version hands down, controls felt better, save anywhere, and there was some kind of multiplayer mode as well, not that I ever got anyone to play that game with me.
  19. Wow! You obviously have done a great job at soliciting donations for this, very impressive!
  20. You can click the gear icon to the right of the search function on any page and it will take you to the full search page. Select the date range from when you joined and add your username to the "find author" field. Voila, there they are!
  21. To "ignore" a user, click on your username in the very upper right of the window, then click "manage ignore prefs". Add the username of the user you waould like to ignore and click the boxes for posts, signatures, messages, etc. You will not see their posts any more. The only downfall is that you may see their posts if someone replies to them. It's not perfect, but it helps.
  22. Sigh. I gave up on them long ago. The first year or so was great, then it became very......self centered?, narcissistic? I kept listening for a while as I really liked the interviews with regular people about their gamerooms, but eventually gave up.
  23. Damn! That is a great prize, especially since the only Atari game I have is a dog-chewed Defender.
  24. That is the real deal, I have one. PC flight stick; made (or licensed) by Nintendo.
