  1. Great job Will!! With your pic, even. Did you send a "press release" or how did they find you? Are Atari games really "cluttering up the shelves" in Ft. Wayne??? Pretty cool, especially if it was in print also. Morgan
  2. If this poll is any indication, Sony has problems; the PS3 has only achieved half the market penetration of the 32X, soundly beaten by the Virtual Boy, and now the Game.com and Microvision are right on their tails. Morgan
  3. Hmmm....item is in Sarasota, FL...is that close to Naples??? Morgan
  4. This is exactly the type of denial I'd expect from the writer of that message! That message is garden variety crazy. Joe's insanity is much more complex and has many layer's that are peeled away one by one (like an onion) to eventually reveal the core of bat-shit lunacy. Morgan
  5. I just got a big box of Tandy / Radio Shack catalogs from 1970 through the late '80s. There is sooo much awesome info in these. There are 14 different and four extras that I will likely put up for trade, although they are '74, 75' and 2 copies of '76, so no computers or video games. If anyone needs any Radio Shack research done, speak up!! Morgan
  6. Ax, looking at your eBay feedback, at least he hasn't left a negative yet. From the looks of things on your feedback you really take care of business and 100% positive with your volume of sales is awesome!!! I guess the bitch of it is being tight on money and having this happen. Keep the line of communication open with Ebay over the phone and they usually get it right, but usually get it wrong in favor of the buyer if you try to handle it online; doesn't make any sense. Hope it works out. Morgan
  7. Fucking shit is right! That is an over the top buy! Morgan
  8. Well, that certainly fits the description, but no. I did some searching; it is Assault. It was made by Namco, but maybe distributed by atari here (Atari logo is on header glass) Morgan
  9. Hmmmm, I sincerely doubt that my favorite controller ever, the wireless Logitech for X-Box, would work this way as I assume the power for the receiver wouldn't be right?
  10. Funny that Sea Wolf should be brought up just now. I was at the Clark County Fair today and was lamenting to my wife how back in the good old days there was at least one arcade tent at the fair, if not two. This jogged my memory and I remembered Sea Wolf for the first time in a long time. I played the hell out of it at the fair in '79-82 or so It is also where I played Donkey Kong for the first time. I would typicaly be at the fair the whole 6-10 days and do odd jobs for more arcade money. Good times! Morgan
  11. Umm ok...my faves are: 7 - Stun Runner 6 - Xevious 5 - Gauntlet 4 - Tempest (I will always play this first when available - it's an arcade-only exeprience) 3 - Marble Madness (I actually enjoyed the NES version more than the arcade) 2 - Star Wars (one of the few on the list I actually find anymore; the only real reason I ever break out my 32x and it's clusterf*** of cords) 1 - Crystal Castles - many hours on a cocktail version of this at a cheap-ass pizza place of which I forget the name; as much as people praise the 2600 version, I could never get into it) I also remember a great tank game where you played with two control yokes for real tank action...can't remeber the name, but seems like it was by Atari. What was it???? Morgan
  12. 16,460. Time to get out my Zylon art supplies.
  13. OK, it appears the learning curve on this one will be more than I can handle this week, so I will take my participation point and try to draw a kick-ass Zylon. Morgan
  14. Dont know how anyone can forget that....I see your slightly disturbing avatar at least once a day. Morgan
  15. If Cosmic Carnage is the Street Fighter style game, then I totally agree. I played it because it was the only game I had when I got the 32X-crement for $12 from Blockbuster (came with a cool rental case and the one game), but it was a hunk of crap. BC Racers is a game I loved, but also a piece of crap really. Tempo was a decent platformer, and several other good ones. I would say that about 60% of the games I tried did indeed suck. Morgan
  16. Yes, this is a disturbing trend; even Parker Brothers have changed Mediterranean and Baltic avenues from purple to brown. I wonder if I started all this with my custom NCAA '03 Team - the Southwest Washington State Asskickers, all-brown uniforms with red trim - colors very reminicent of an in-depth asskicking. Morgan
  17. Great job! Thanks for the effort..... Morgan
  18. Hi! Thought I would just say that this looks intriguing and I will play it tonight and give feedback. Morgan
  19. Damn, too late, but I rolled it!! a total of 109,570. Morgan Update: I guess I did make it in time; I thought it was 1am East instead of central. Woo Hoo!!! Second Update: BTW, this was my fifth or sixth try last night, and what did the trick for me was less time shooting bricks on each level. I got to level ten or eleven and the higher levels provided much more frequent bricks, which made it easier.
  20. Actually, I think this is the right one; http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=P223-ND You can also go to digikey.com and search "2032" to see other tab options. They are $1.73 ea with discount for quantity and they will ship 1st class, which makes it reasonable. Morgan
  21. Guys, DigiKey.com has the batteries with the the contacts already soldered onto the battery. Their site is a little hard to navigate; I will find the link I saved at home and post to this thread. It make the process much easier and safer. Morgan
  22. I remember as a kid seing an ad for a similar game selector unit that had eight slots. I immediately began to hatch a plan to buy nine of them, fill eight of them with cartridges and plug them into the ninth to make my own Atari kiosk. Of course as kid, I didn't about logistics of arranging the units; possible loss of signal from cable lengths, etc. Once I saw that each would cost me nearly the amount of a new game, that "big idea" fell by the wayside..... Morgan
  23. Ummm....when I got up this morning I swear it was Monday, did I miss something??
  24. 80,150; working my way towards the big roll. Morgan
