  1. Yup, Toby always has a ton of cool crap for me to buy. Can't wait!
  2. I will be there all damn weekend as usual!! I am hoping for some Intellivisionaries presence, but would love to run into any of the AA homies I have not met before. Seems like if a specific meetup time or place isn't setup, then I just spend the weekend running wild with all the stuff to look at.
  3. Heh, kind of random, but yes quite awesome! I would encourage anyone into sci-fi to check these out. I actually grew up on this stuff as my dad sold OTR on cassette as a side business for many years. Also check out Dimension X; same quality of production. "A Pail of Air" is my favorite X Minus One episode.
  4. Wow, that does indeed look like a treasure trove! I see a few games in there from my youth, guess I need to look into an emulator and play with some of this stuff.
  5. I agree, Intellivisionaries is grandfathered in and used well in context of the show. The others don't bother me at all, it is just getting less and less novel. Come to think of it, the Retroist was probably the first one I listened to utilizing the robot voice.
  6. Cool, I will give this one a try. I am more into older EM machines and I also see episodes on "pitch and bat" games, "single ball horse racing games", etc. Thanks for mentioning it...
  7. Kenneth Martin Dolan lives!!
  8. I will jump on the bandwagon and say Defender also. It was the full game I ever bought at full price and I really got my money's worth out of it. I need to pick up Defender II sometime, I've never tried it. A similar "inferior port" is Mouse Trap; I have heard people dog on it for condensing the three colored buttons down to one red one on the 2600, but it made it into a much better game for me.
  9. I think the Nick Talesfore interview is the same one from Channel F Files.
  10. If you like bacon, you would love a sandwich I serve up that has Bacon, Iceberg Lettuce, Tomato and Daikon; I call it the BITD!
  11. Death Trap? 1. - Corvair was a death trap 2. - These coordinates seem to be in the Indian Ocean with no names for the topography that ties into anything, so ??? 3. - Diamond is the hardest difficulty
  12. I have been bashing my head on this one for a few hours, to the detriment of my work duties. I will just guess, so I can get back to work: Crash Dive?
  13. Well, the first licensed product was Mario Bros for 2600. The first actual one was an NES SMB3 set around 1990; I still remember feeling like I was betraying my Atari by buying that. Now I couldn't even count in my head the number of N consoles I have.
  14. The name makes me feel like it the Pac-Man universe' version of Milliways.
  15. Yup! I got my Bubble Bobble 2 at Value Village for $1.99, it was right next to a SMB/Duck Hunt for $6.99
  16. Sigh. I got the email and I haven't ordered anything from them for two years. I guess they sent the email to the entire database. Sorry to say it, but it sounds like old man inty is overwhelmed.
  17. Yeah, I was too lazy to work it all the way out, but I figured: 1 - The pi equation is wrong, but 10 could refer to the 10 spinning plates, pi to the circumference of the plates themselves, and you are -1 plate every few seconds 2 - disaster is a synonym for fatality 3 - I found a few references to an "expert plate spinner" named Frank
  18. Looks great! I will be going for this one to be sure; I really enjoy Chris' games to date and this one looks like another winner. In searching for a video, I discovered another unrelated O2 game titled Traffic:
  19. Nice work! Geez, thought I had it nailed with Phat Ho, what are the odds...
  20. Thanks for your video DestinedCruz! With it, I can see that I only ever made it about 2/3 of the way through the first level, but that handful of 1ups early in level two looks like a good goal for me to strive for.
  21. Up n' Down? Not sure of the connection for #1, which I assume refers to Albert. #2 is for Phat Ho, the programmer and #3 - Paramount, who was involved with Sega at this point.
  22. I did enjoy the actual "british soundbite thingies" in this particular episode; the cute kids calling in to win a contest and especially when the little girl was interacting with the talkshow guest, a soldier or mercenary of some sort: "did the man get better?"..."no sweetheart, they cleared the cave, sorry..."
  23. Bingo! My wife picked up a stray chicken from the side of the freeway; it's name was obvious to both of us right off.
