I picked this up today. I was not planning on letting loose of any cash, but after playing this for about ten seconds I was sold. They sure are modest in calling this a Breakout clone as it takes the concept quite a ways down the road. I will report on how it works with the driving controllers and in co-op play.

Holy crap! A new episode of Retrobits popped up! A pleasant surprise to hear from good old Earl.

bad seller / buyer on ebay:
ebay username: JOHNSGIRL2
I highly recommend avoiding this person and not doing business with her. She is one of the nastiest, lying motherfunkers Ive ever dealt with on ebay.
I am not sure if she is a member here under a different name at Atari Age or not.
Do business with her at your own risk. She does have good reviews, so not everyone has had the same experience, but I have proof, as I documented everything, that this person is no good.
You have been warned.
Rather than jus saying you've been warned. Details about your experience and whatever proof you had may be helpful to others. That's kind of what this thread is for. It's not for blind accusations.
Yeah, especially when, as you say the person has good feedback, ("Top Rated" actually, not that easy to pull off) ,a little info on what the trouble was would help. This person did buy a game from me in September and the transaction went off without a hitch.

I don't buy many NIB games, but for me:
- Price sticker in good condition = Great!
- No price sticker = Good
- Partial price sticker, plastic damage from removal or leftover goo = Not quite as good

I don't really play with it too much these days, but I grew up using a MC-10. I really enjoyed that little computer. Here is my web page with links and games for it.
Thanks! I have had an MC-10 with ram expansion kicking around for a few years and haven't done anything with it. I will have to scrounge up an equivelant power supply and hope that a coco cassette cable will work.

Scarce, I would say instead of rare. Every gaming expo I go to, I seem to see one for sale, usually $100-125.

Heh, due to lack of time and Atari games to play, my list is pretty short:
- Orange Box (specifically Portal)
- Bayonetta (stuck halfway through the game, but enjoyed what I played)
- Arkham Asylum - played about an hour, then I got.....
- Borderlands (playing now and loving)
Once I am done with that Borderlands 2 is sitting here waiting for me, as is Assassin's Creed 3. I am sure the Burnout games would be instant addiction if they are anything like the previous generation.

I took a few days off after the update, but I am back in the swing of things now. Sheesh, I swear it took me ten minutes just to put all my Christmas stuff back into inventory. I would up getting everything but the abominable snowman; that damn spinning wheel was a bastard!

One year, around 1983 I entered the Science fair with my Atari 400 a color TV, and a pack of lies LOL. I plastered the walls of the cubicle with a long string of numbers that appeared to be Pi and on the screen the 400 generated random numbers that I claimed were the 400 carrying out Pi indefinitely. In reality the program did nothing more than divide 22 by 7 as far as it could, then just generate random numbers. My fraud was never discovered, I got an "A" Last year, I offered a programmer friend of mine a reward if he could write a program that could carry out Pi for real but after a couple cases of Redbull, he threw his hands in the air and declared that the 400 could not handle the task. Was he right?
So, did you wind up going into advertising, or politics?

Pokemon Yellow! First time I finished one of these damn games. Now I can focus 100% on Borderlands.

Got some unexpected finds today at Savers. Mixed in with the DVDs was a sealed copy of Veigues Tactical Gladiator for the TurboGrafx-16 for $6.99. As soon as I found that I went straight to the electronics section to see if the console was there, but there was none to be seen.
Great to find any TG-16 game sealed in the wild! That particular game, though, should probably remain sealed. You might want to check back, sometimes everything doesn't hit the floor at once.

I got the AtGames Genesis handheld and console with wireless controllers for Christmas. The handheld benefits from the SD card slot and the console has the cart slot and controller ports in addition to the wireless controllers, which is nice. Both have issues, but I am glad I got them. I would love to have the handheld SMS, but without SD support, I won't purchase, unless I find it at a discount. I think my wife said the other two were $30 on black friday.
Edit: I wonder how well the SMS games translate to a tiny screen. I love playing SMS games on the Game Gear with the Master Gear attachment, but forget about actually reading text or telling what your score is on the GG screen with graphics that were designed for tv viewing.

I've only ever added one person, and I've no need to jog my memory as to why.
yep, and now I can say lots of horrible things about you and you are none the wiser.....

But I will look into chaptering... off hand I don't know how that's done.
Don't spend too much time on it, I appreciate the efforts you guys are already making. Radio Free Nintendo used to do the chapters, and each one had it's own image, which was a nice touch, so I thought I would mention it and only because of how well done your production is.
Considering all the great music on your show, I appreciate you using the higher bitrate and the resulting fantastic sound quality. The show really is polar opposite of the (semi?) intentional low production value of RGRU, which is not slight to them as I love the low-brow approach as well.
-
I guess I never considered the size of a podcast to be a problem. If I have half an hour drive to work, I can either listen to a 30 minute Retroist podcast, or I can listen to the first 30 minutes of RGRU or Intellivisionaries and pause (also known as ripping the earbuds out of the jack and stuffing them in my pocket). When I have time to listen again, I start the show again, or I might go to something else and then come back to it.
I think the only suggestion I could make is to do something to make the longer episodes more navigable. I had seen some podcasts that chapter their segments and a few others that upload a new image for each episode that displays time stamps for the show segments.

Now THAT is what Christmas is all about!!!! Thanks for sharing..

To each his own. Live and let live. There are people here who would be interested in this. Not my cup of tea, but kudos to your wife for getting out there and accomplishing something that at least makes her happy.

It is a testiment to Ferg's humble personality that he felt compelled to "call in sick" to his listeners. Take care of yourself, buddy. And be back at your ledger all the earlier the following morning!! Humbug!

I don't want to go as far as to say that You Don't Know Flack has completely run its course, but potential episode ideas are starting to run thin. One option I've considered to extend the longevity of the show is switching to more specific topics -- in other words, instead of doing a show on "arcades," doing one on specific games like Centipede or Donkey Kong instead. If they're not games that I had a personal connection with it changes the scope of the show which makes me think it should just be a separate show.
I'm still considering retooling Sprite Castle into an audio podcast and focusing on Commodore games.
Rob, Yep, if the subject matter isn't personal to you, it wont make a good YDKF. I am following your lead in this as I try to half-ass a podcast together over here.
Re: Sprite Castle, I would love it. I just don't have time to sit stilll and watch videos, but I would listen to this content all day long....

Updated last night. It took me awhile to figure out how to drop gifts for friends to where they can be seen. You might have one or two hidden behind a building. I love the new tasking tool at the upper left; makes tasking 43 characters so much easier.

Internet "personality" Keith Apicary is constantly going around spewing his schtick, which seems to be a borderline mentally-disabled gamer and constantly talking about the Dreamcast 2; I am sure that is part of it.
-
So you want a podcast about the Atari Jaguar? OWww!!!
Well, there should at least be a a recurring segment, covering the latest Jag flame war activity blow-by-blow. "That concludes our R-Zone feature; now it's time for this week's chapter of The Jag-Offs".

How 'bout a show on all the systems that are the butt of people's jokes and call it the Derriere-ies podcast? Actually, I wish someone would do something on the MSX, since it it one of few systems that I know little about.

While perusing iTunes podcast reviews, a bit funny & disheartening to see hosts giving their OWN show 5 stars- esp. when they clearly don't deserve it. One guy even refers to himself as "one of the stars" of his own show.
Humility this ain't.
Cut them some slack RJ; it's a lot of work to be the hose, the bag and the nozzle!

Intellivisionaries episode 7 is up!

Wow! Greatest coverage of a single classic video game (and it's close cousins) of any podcast ever. I just recently discovered that there were one player versions of these games and have had great fun playing WCB recently. Keep up the great work!!
