  1. Nice! The biggest part of succeeding is having a plan, and most people think about how they will economize on everything else, but don't consider how they will fill their spare time. It looks like your spare time is accounted for, so no spending time or money that you can't afford. Hope it works out!

  2. I have a LVL 37, 5 star town, so please add me as I purged about 20 non-players last night.

    On TSTO, I am: grogtheslayer

Also, I'm doing the Squidport tile exploit, so if you see my tile, please tap it. (Unfortunately I tapped my last handshake just tonight, so now it's another 2.5 days until the next one.) In Other Springfields I tap every tile I see.

Freind request sent. I know not of this exploit; I got tired of waiting for those damn tiles and stopped building long ago, but if there is a way to do it faster....

  3. I will prune my list and add all of you tonight. I play every day, but don't necessarily visit everyone everyday if there is not a push for something (goo, snakes, etc.). If there is something like that, I am all over it, otherwise I might skip a day here and there. My ID is wewent42.

FYI, it looks like I have been playing a whole year now, one of the first things I bought was the Itchy parade balloon and now we are back to thanksgiving.

  4. I recently picked up another one, Talking Baseball All-Stars, which is kind of interesting. Usually, "announcers" are the most irritating part of a sports game, but in this case they really enhance the "acceptable" (by lcd game standards) gameplay. The players from the most recent all-star game are announced by their last name with their accurate batting average and the gameplay is announced also.

There is supposedly also a talking Die Hard game by Tiger, which I would like to find, but I am sure the catch phrase would be truncated to a disappointing "yipee ki yay".

  5. Wow! I just caught up on this. For the most part, I will just let sleeping dogs lie, but..........I do know what I will get my buddy Rev for christmas:

The models I used for my Paddle Party art gave me that link and swear by the product.

The irreverent sense of humor usually makes the AA Inty community more fun, but I suppose you live by the sword and sometimes die by it. Go play some games guys.

  6. As usual, Bill makes some good points, but being neither as rational or mature as him, I will just edit his post to reflect my feelings...

While the hyperbole is excessive, at a basic level it's absolutely true that Nintendo and the NES revived videogames in the biggest market in the world, North America. What's also true is that other videogames never stopped selling in North America, but many companies did pull out of the market and there was excessive product dumping for a few years as a result. The NES was the right product, right approach, etc., at the right time to reignite excitement in videogames. While those of us who were fans of the pre-Crash systems lament the NES's rise, the fact of the matter remains that none of the pre-crash competitors were in a position to move the industry forward the way it needed to be. In other words, we probably needed the proverbial house to be cleaned to bring the industry to the heights that it was. Eventually the same thing happened on the computer side, where dozens of competitors eventually pared down to just a few competitors. Choice is good, but excessive choice does present a great deal of market confusion and retards growth until the market expands enough to support more competitors again.
