To be fair, it *is* very pretty.

  2. Agreed! I am taking PTO the week before and week after this year, to make sure nothing interferes with my special holiday...
  3. Vectrex - Cosmic Chasm Lynx - Chip's Challenge NES - Kickle Cubicle
  4. If you aren't done yet, throw my name in for a badge!!
  5. Yayyy!!! You always have the best piles of stuff to dig through!
  6. Well crap, how many things like this have I missed because I didn't pick up the commons and inspect them thoroughly?
  7. That's pretty cool right there. I remember doing some pretty detailed drawings of what I thought would be great as the next series of Micronauts aliens, I don't think I ever considered sending them in to Mego.
  8. No, I don't. At least not yet; it is on my wish list though. I would probably rather have a Sprint / Sprint 2, but Super Bug would do just fine for my B/W raster game entry. Edit: Although, if I had the cash and space, I would loooove to have a Sprint 8 and a Fire Truck and invite all y'all over to play!!!!
  9. A new game system based on "controlled randomness"? I think I know one dude who would love it......
  10. It must have been early 2003, I got it shortly after Minority Report came out on DVD and that was the first movie I got. That particular disc had problems with skipping large chunks of frames occasionally, I thought it was the cheep-ass Apex player at first, but other discs were fine. Assuming a bad disc, I have picked up a few more copies at garage sales and they do the same thing on some players. Nowadays, I am using the Xbox 360 for DVDs and getting ready to buy my first Blu-ray as I borrowed GOT season 3-4 from someone but it was BR.
  11. As joked about many time during his run on RGR, Mike likes it "in the end".
  12. It seems like a SoCal kind of thing to do, but I think that was actually Scott's breathing that ruined a great interview. I remember telling someone about listening to the interview and saying how Jeri's comment that her favorite thing to do when she was young was to go to the Boeing surplus store was the hottest thing I ever heard a girl say. I was then informed that she batted for the other team, but I stood by my statement.
  13. Well, the car moves too damn fast for me. You did shift out of first gear, right? Any time I got into third, death was imminent.
  14. Thanks for sharing. This certainly doesn't excite me like it it does you, but it is (or will be) a piece of history and important to document.
  15. Back in the MK-verse, I see that Retro Magazine is no longer listed as a vendor on the 2016 PRGE page.
  16. That is pretty much how I feel the feature should be used. Congratulations on being reasonable, it is usually the first step in being successful and happy.
  17. Geez, I would just ignore a lowball offer. I try to not have it enabled on my auctions, but I have to remember to click it away each time, so sometimes I miss it. I will say that I have never got an offer that was reasonable, i.e., never more than 50% of buy it now price. I know the tool is there to set an auto decline, but since I don't intentionally enable the make offer, I don't think to set that up. I just set most of my stuff as a buy it now and lower the prices each week until it sells.
  18. Ok, point well made; this thing isn't needed because it already exists. I will just pop over to eBay and snag the first Bible Time Voyager I see......oh wait, no listings. Oh, well I am sure one will pop up soon. Let me see if any have been sold recently.....nope, not in the last 60 days. My gosh, let me search 15 pages deep on Google for one for sale....aha! One sold on eBay in Jan of 2014. It was a total of just under $45 shipped, which makes this version not only a viable product, but a bargain at the early bird level. Search around, you may find a couple more, but nowhere near enough to meet what interest is already pledged to the project. Everyone knows these aren't great games. The point is some people will have fun with it, because they like oddball things or just have a morbid curiosity for cheesy entertainment. Remember Mystery Science Theater 2000? It thrived on having fun with wretched movies. When they did the MST3K on Manos, Hands of Fate, a deliciously terrible movie, it created an additional market and they released the original movie on DVD, even through it was sub-par crap, and it sold very well. Did movie buyers need you to save them? No, they knew damn well what they were getting. Go find something to be happy about, even if it isn't here.
  19. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, shawnphase! Going to pick up one of the plug n' plays, just because it is a fun idea and only $30. Yes I know the games are shitty, but thanks for looking out for me.
  20. It is a closed system from reports so far, no way to add games. Hopefully whatever team designed the hardware had a Jeri Ellsworth type to leave a backdoor for us to exploit. Apparently it will suspend game states on power off, so it does have that advantage over some other products, and an NES controller that could be used as a Wii / WiiU classic controller.
  21. Please return the egg!
