Hmmmm, yeah, but.....now I see that Garry Kitchen did the 2600 version and he managed some pretty good games for the 2600, so it must be something apart from the programmers ability in this case. Although, I don't know the release timeline; maybe he was still learning while doing DK.

Plenty of good stuff there to play, for sure. I agree with many others that Pac-man is certainly playable; I played it enough to justify the $30 i paid for it and that is, like, $150 in kid dollars. I played one-player Combat all the time, just see how many times you can hit the defenseless tank in two minutes and sixteeen seconds. I get crap every time I say it, but I enjoyed Defender more on the 2600 than in the arcade. I always wanted to play the arcade version, but would wind up blowing too many quarters, because I couldn't get the hang of all the buttons. The 2600 version managed to be very fun - with one button, and I think that was quite an acccomplishment. Morgan

Im sure there are exceptions, but I have never had anything but good experiences..I had two Wii's that I got advance replacements for just based on noisy disc drives, one of those was a month or so ago. I also got an advance replacement on a DS, along with a couple of repairs that went well. Hopefully they wont start slacking, as I would have to say they have been the model of customer service as far as electronics manufacturers go.... Morgan

OK, so they didn't do it on purpose. So, what the hell happened then? What is your best guess? It seems to me that there are plenty of Inty games with more going on the screen that look and sound better. I guess things probably are harder trying to duplicate a game from other hardware than if you were creating a game from scratch based on what your system can do. Morgan

Anyone have a left overlay for Inty Microsurgeon? I need one as I have two rights. If anyone needs a right one, let me know. Morgan

Due to my space issues, most of my games are kept in the utility room where the dogs sleep. Due to careless stacking and an incontinent daschund, I have a Surround and a Phoenix that also have P on them. I now have replaced these two, so they are in a box to send to Albert. Morgan

Sweet! I just got my first one as well and loving it (wasn't sure I would). Let us know what games you wind up getting, I have some extras to trade! Morgan

It has to be intentional, no question in my mind now that I can see what the system is capable of. Mouse Trap looks dreadful too, which is a shame. At least Atari made a good effort with Pac-man for the Invellivision; looks and sounds great, but I think I need the "Stickler" to do much with it (or more practice with the pad). Frogger for the Inty also seems to be a pretty good port. I have been giving a quick look at a lot of Inty games for the first time this week; I think the crap ratio may be similar to 2600, but it stands out more because of what the high end looks like. Morgan Also, in the big Intellivision lot I got last week I got a Inty 1 and an Inty 2. I loved the look of the Inty 2, but was dissapointed when I found out it wouldn't play some of the Coleco games, including DK and Mouse trap. After seeing them, I guess they thought they were doing us a favor. Even so, I think I will be using the Inty 1 for the most part as it looks and plays like new. When I first picked up the Inty 2 controllers I was doubting whether they would work at all, but they seem OK. There is no play to the action buttons, but they seem to register fine, and the pad seemed to have too much play and too much traction but, again, it worked somehow. Morgan

A little better; 232,322. I remember getting in the 600-700K range on this back in the day, but I think it was on game 2. Morgan

First try - 184,329. It'll get better. Morgan

Intellivision HSC Rules & Regulations

Hi! Just got my first Intellivision and have about 65 games, so I'm in. Suggestions; Astrosmash is a blast but would be a long game, is there any difficulty option? I played Frogger last night and it looks and plays great. I played the hell out of Mousetrap on the 2600 and think it would be a good one, just got to get used to the differences on the Inty. How about math fun? I am kidding mostly, but it is timed and you could specify the amount of questions and difficulty. I'll have more ideas when I get a chance to play more of the games. Morgan -

New high score - 2,377 - Floor 9 of building 3. The thing about this game is; you can be having an awesome game and then it is all shot to hell in a heartbeat. On a side note; I think a history teacher programmed the AI in this game, I got back to back scores of 1492 and 1776. -

So the deal was you buy 3 and get to pay him an extra buck? Yeah Like I said, he wasn't all there, but a super happy guy with some speech issues. I went to the address he gave and it was a good neighborhood, so I knocked on the door and he says "you'll have to stay outside, my mom says you cant some in" (he was probably 40 or so) I was only going to get two for $3 ea, but since I bought three, he gave me the "special" deal. The laugh I had to hold until I got in the car was worth the extra buck...... Morgan -

Stopped at the Goodwill that never has anything good, they had some good stuff: A pair of driving controllers - 3.99 New in package Mattel Electronic Football repro - 1.99 Tunnel Runner 2600 - 3.99 Left a bunch of 2600 games behind as they were 3.99 for R1 - R3 games. I will try to go back tomorrow to get a few of the Sears titles once they are half price. There is also a Suncom Slik Stik that feels like it may need some rebuilding for 3.99. Nothing good at Value Village, but I was looking at an N64 memory card when a guy asked me "you wanna buy some N64 games?". I think he was mentally disabled and against my better judgement I drove to his house, where he lived with his mom. Anyway I got Jet Force Gemini, Earthworm Jim, and Indiana Jones and Infernal Machine. Nothing I needed, but wanted to help him out. He wanted $3 ea, but since I bought three he gave them to me for $10. :-) Hope he gets something cool with the $10. Morgan -
Intellivoice troubleshooting
Chuck D. Head replied to Chuck D. Head's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
OK, while I have had no issues with cartridge insertion depth on the console, on the Intellivoice I have to back the cart out 3/16" or so and reset. I will do a thorough cleaning of the cart slot on the peripheral and see if it helps. Love the goofy voice on B-17 Bomber! Morgan -
OK, I am officially in the Intellivision fan club now. I just recieved the lot I bought from someone on AA; I got boxed Inty 1 and 2, as well as about 50 games mostly complete. The Inty 1 is a beauty, not a mark on her and perfectly coiled cords on her controllers that perform like new. Soooo happy! Mostly, anyway. I was dissapointed that the intellivoice I picked up a few weeks back doesnt seem to work. I flip it on and just get a blackish screen. I cleaned the connector card on the console end and tried it with all five voice games I had, but nothing. Any ideas or common problems with these? Morgan

OMFG!! Could you imagine tiling your bathroom floor in commons and covering it clear acrylic? Maybe I won't be sending them to Al after all...... Morgan

Be sure you talk to them to see if they have half price days or something like that..... Morgan
