  1. BTW, that avatar of yours CREEPS me out. I hope it isn't your beast. OMG! I thought I was the only one....That critter gets inside my head!! Morgan
  2. Second that; RecycledGamer is a great seller and the packaging for his light pens are pretty slick as well. Morgan
  3. I don't know if I would call it a "Great Arcade Conversion", but I have always been amazed that Defender for the 2600 is as playable as it is with only one button. I had MUCH more fun with it on the 2600 than in the arcade, because of the simpler controls. Same with Space Invaders; didn't look great, but played very well..... Morgan
  4. Well, I couldn't seem to start the game with the joystick button and also I figured there were probably some commands that were through the keboard. I am totally new to carts on the TRS-80 and this is my first game that I didn't type in from a book. I do have Audio Spectrum Analyzer and a coloring book type cart that doesnt do anything without the images from cassette. I picked this up recently and could not find much info other than the fact it is actually a pretty playable version of Baseball. Hmmm, could I get into the game's code from the cartridge? If so I could figure out whatever I wanted to know, I imagine. Thanks for the help!! Morgan
  5. I know there are a few CoCo people on here somewhere. I need a scan of the manual for Color Baseball or even just a list of the keyboard commands to control the game. Of course if anyone has a manual they don't want, that would be awesome too. Thanks, Morgan
  6. After a few tries - 15,520 on level 12. I thought that there was a fix later in the production and some carts did not end at level 84??? Not that I think I will have to worry about it; seems to me that I could only ever get to about level 30 or so, and I am sure that was on "Basic Bombardment"... Morgan
  7. Just wanted to throw in some kudos for these DVD's; I purchased all three and have not seen vol 3 yet, but if the quality of the info is as good as vol 1, you will not be dissapointed!! Morgan
  8. Well, if you like Doom, there is certainly a game that stimulates all the same fun centers of the brain as Doom....it is called Metroid Prime. Lots of ugly creatures jumping out at you, great visuals and music, you might want to check it out, it's kind of OK.... Morgan
  9. HaHa! I bought Firefly and Sorcerer at the crash for a few bucks each and it was still a waste of money. In the same purchase I got Bugs from Data Age, which I hated and Dishaster, which I at least got some fun out of. I was telling a friend about my new games and he said, "so you got three disasters and Dishaster". Funny guy..... Morgan
  10. That's perfect. I have often thought of moving to a compound in Arizona with my followers........
  11. Ummm, I'm not sure either, but I think this counts either way; I have seen two episodes of Magnum P.I. where Higgins and I think Rick were playing the yellow Tomy Pac-man handheld. This was late '80s and the handheld came out early '80s, so I think that qualifies. Higgins playing a videogame seemed strangely out of character, BTW...strange item to have just laying around Robin Masters' estate....... Morgan
  12. is a clip of Charles in Charge with some kid playing a Vectrex; kinda cool..............Morgan
  13. Maybe check with user RecycledGamer, I saw some in his booth at PRGE last weekend. I'm sure he would be asking a reasonable price, just send him a PM. Morgan
  14. Funny, when N64 came out, I had no problem with the controls, but after a long layoff from it, it is awkward as hell. Dualshock is definitely one of the best, but I would have to give the nod to the 'Cube controllers for my hands. When you consider everything that you need to do to play Metroid Prime and how natural it all feels on that controller, it really is impressive. I have people complain that they are overall too small, but I have big hands and they are very comfortable. Morgan
  15. Oh Snap!!! You could get more than that for Ogre Battle and the rest would be gravy!!!! Morgan
  16. Oh, Ok , well never mind about the N64 then Toby, and thanks for bringing the TRS-80 Baseball cartridge and let me know if you come across any more Tandy games..........Morgan
  17. it is Atari Force #3 shown here. Thanks for looking! Morgan
  18. Toby, was your booth the one closer to the corner from Rick? I may need to talk to you about an Orange n64......Morgan
  19. I've been too busy at work to post till now, but here is the first batch of deals I got at Portland Retro Gaming Expo. Just the Atari 2600 stuff for now: All these were $1 each: Quick Step Pitfall II Popeye Alien ( a bit beat up) Entombed (bad end label) Sears Spelling Sears Target Fun Tron Deadly Discs Space Jockey Superman Laser Blast GI Joe California Games Lost Luggage Space Cavern red Space Cavern Blue Super Cobra (this is held together with duct tape, but I had a hankering to play it) Coconuts Sears Breakaway IV Maze Craze Maze Craze Text Raiders of the Lost Ark (one of each label variation) Worm War I Fast Food (been having fun playing this one) For $2 ea I got these CIB: A very nice sealed Space Invaders Spiderman (why couldnt others companies use boxes like Parker Bros?) Very nice boxed Laser Blast Starmaster Sky Diver I got a homebrew, Jack and the Beanstalk, which I haven't played yet, but it sounded cool for $25 And for $10, I got something I really wanted, a boxed Sears Star Raiders. The outer box is a little beat but the innards are all very nice! Now all I need is the comic. No earth-shattering deals, but lots of games to play!! I will post more later, Morgan
  20. Funny, I was admiring her covers and realized it was someone I had known for a while and had no idea she was into gaming. It is good looking quality on the covers and reversible, so you could put black on one side and something louder on the other. Hey, could you post a scan or larger pic of the Whiz Kids comic? It looks like one I have not seen before. Morgan
  21. This is one of those rare times where the Atari product is better than Activision. Not that there are really too many titles that compare head to head between the two. Morgan
  22. All righty! I will see everyone at the show at the crack of nine! I don't seem to have any retro gaming apparel, so you will recognize me as the middle-aged geek in the Micronauts t-shirt. Morgan
  23. Didja find a cable, Tempest? If not, PM me your mailing address, and I will give you my extra one from the CoCo I didn't even know I had. I was moving an S-Load of stuff that I stored when we moved my dad out and found a box with a nice working coco, a few app cartridges, the big programming tutorial set, and a foot-high stack of trs-80 books abd manuals. Anyway, it all works and there's an extra cable that you are welcome to. I would love to find the correct cassette deck for this thing. Morgan
  24. Dang, I am pretty sure I have some Game & Watch eReader cards, I will check when I am home. There was also Animal Crossing. This is the only useful site I could find. Morgan
